The scary part of this video.... is even STORM can counter Spidey with her thunder. If you web her, and she activate the thunder you cooked. Spidey take damage from the AOE, then he will be immediately thunderstruck and die :(

You're right, I've played against Storms that amp their thunder right as they're tagged, if you go to them, they need to hit two shots and you're dead from AoE, to adapt you just don't go on them and wait it out, once it's over she's pretty harmless. But a Storm that plays around you is definitely not a free pick.
Playing spiderman feels like being on finals week and than suddenly turning into a homeless man after you get 1 C on your exam (questions weren't in the curriculum)
GM Spidey here, Spidermans only winning matchups (as in, 1v1s he can comfortably take and consistently win) are: Moon Knight: once you bait the ankh he doesnt have enough mobility to escape and has a hard time hitting his burst projectile. Scarlet Witch: Annoying to track through her invuln but she doesnt have the burst to consistently kill you before you kill her. Adam Warlock: Even with the self heal, he absolutley lacks any mobility or surivabilty, letting spiderman just force out the heal and reengage Iron Man: Bro hes asking for it Every other matchup that he should win on paper (Black widow, Squirel Girl, Hawkeye,...) have tools to consistently shutdown spiderman after he already engages (the squirrell trap, widows pirrouette) and that will guaruntee that he dies for it. Storm can now empower herself and literally create an antidive field, which she can cycle behind her tanks, making her actually pretty decen to run against spiderman Hes extremley weak right now and it kinda forces you to play less like a backline assasin and more like a mosquito, just buzzing around.
moon knights are so easy to kill because you already know they suck because they playing moon knight in the first place but the only people that make me switch is scarlet witch and namor like i can't do shi to them
You should add Widow and Hawkeye ngl. Though they have the tools, once you get in close range with them, they are a free kill. ESPECIALLY Widow I’ve never had much issue killing those characters as Spidey. You just gotta catch them off gaurd, get in close range, and make them work their camera which isn’t hard to do with Spider-Man
The real problem is that you have to commit so hard to get a kill you have to know the map layout you have to know if the enemy escape goat is on cooldown you have to know if they are alone or with someone by their side just to get one kill while Hela or Hawkeye only needs to aim at their direction and gain the same value
If spidey is able to do what most other dps could do, then they should only give spider 1 swing. Spidey has to be weak cuz he has more mobility than average character. He could also bunnyhop so his momentum is carried over. He could swing back in 1 second after respawning, there are no other characters as loaded as him.

On the good side, you force an ultimate on their team , gives your team an advantage to use your ultimates later on , if iron-man on your side, he can maximum pulse their luna or mantis or cloak dagger ulti If you dive in as Spidy, you either get one kill , get out , do a dive through uppercut punch to disrupt their backlines or force their support to ulti Anyways, yeah the healers in this game prob doing little too much damage or just reduce their ultimate duration

Namor is the *BANE* for Spidy , if your teammates are not helping you kill those squids, you have to keep going after him , if nobody’s shooting them , you’re forced to switch to another character. Also, once again, Spider-man needs *COOLDOWN BUFFS* for his web pull as it’s egregiously long and his web tracers too, he struggles to kill his targets at times, he can do that *ONLY when Venom is present , no one hit KO combo unlike Magik or Black Panther just destroying a whole group* Maybe not have a cooldown on his uppercuts , he can use both twice in a row to finish off a support or DPS hero? Anyways, having cooldown buffs for his web tracers and web pull would help immensely
exactly i hit plat solo rank this season and when you solo rank most people don't even be on voice chat so i can't even ask them to kill the squids and when i do they just don't care like how you in plat and still dumb but ofc spidey not my only character
It's kinda situational, but with low cd on web pull he could kill so many people by throwing them off map. He already kinda annoying doing that now, and with a buff like that this could easily be his most useful skill of all

Storm can actually counter spider-man, using skill (in lightning mode) and 2 basics or one basic and a lightning bolt kills him. The only way for her to lose is if you have bad aim or spider has venom for the one shot combo and she doesn't get healed
I wouldn’t know because I don’t use Storm, but I thought that only applied when you hit someone within the circle. So you strike an enemy and then any enemy in the radius gets hit as well.
@ZenkoDuo storm skill works like this, in wind mode it makes you and your allies faster if you use it, but in lightning mode it gives you more damage buffs and your allies, unleashing an initial lightning hit (aoe) hitting anyone inside the circle, then anyone that is within the circle (either was in it before or entered it after) gets hit by a strong lightning bolt periodically. The periods between each bolt is around 3 seconds. Her other skill does almost half the health of a 250 hp target, so within the lightning field skill (the initial hit) then you have the massive damage buff, one basic and her bolt skill will kill a spiderman easily, and if you have a thor teamup you will have another bolt skill that tracks nearby enemies (within a short range)

Spiderman is outgunned by most of the projectile focused characters, and out muscled by most of the melee specialist. This video make me realize he's some weird underwhelming hybrid who needs some more sauce in either his ability to poke and set-up stuff from range or when hes going in to throw hands, or even both really. But I'm also thinking, like, there's absolutely more spider-people on the way, and I wonder if the sauce peter parker needs is probably going to show up in a spider-person whos maybe focused more on CC, or is even more melee focused, or something.

The best way to counter spider-man is to literally group up and he can’t do anything. I tell other supports this all the time, spider-man can do nothing against two supports who stay together😭
Some of my opinions on these: As Black Panther, if you wait for the web zip to use your dash, you can force the Spiderman to miss his first uppercut 90% of the time As Magik, you can do the same with her s As Moon knight, you can use the ankh right as Spiderman uses his web zips to you to CC him, and then kill him in seconds As Storm, her AOE damage move can very quickly kill a Spiderman Black widows kick has a followup attack which stuns for quite some time, so if your friend used that it'd have made it much easier to headshot you
I love the fact that nearly every char has either a panic button to save themselves from "oneshot combo" or they just outdamage spidey outright. Exaples: rocket heal, luna self heal and freeze, mantis sedate and passive regen, c&d is just outright a menace to spidey cuz of the heal zone and cloak's lmb, Sue's push e.t.c. The worst part is, spidey's cooldowns are LONGER than these panic buttons. Don't even get me started on what happens when you try to dive someone like starlord, punisher, hell even storm and iron man outdamage him when he's supposed to be countering flying chars 😭
As a spider-man main i agree that almost everyone has something to counter spider-man but you are forgetting spidermans ability to choose fights and go get a health pack mid 1v1
So you say spider man should also just go in do dmg and take dmg and run of to his team or a health pack then what’s the point of him being an assassination class character ? You Trina say Spider-Man should just farm dmg for ult and then go to ult and guess what you get shutdown mid ult by stuns that have almost no cool down and if the enemy supports like Luna or Susan ult or mantis ult you just made yourself look like a clown in front of your team the main reason people clown on spider players is because of his lower number of kills as he has to get kills on his own with almost no support by his team in the Backline that enemy supports if they are even a little decent and know how their support character works can just eat the dmg heal them selves and guess you are put of abilities and now gotta at least 6-8seconds before trying to reenage

That sounds like a good point until you realise that if you are forced to disengage and get a health pack that’s pretty much the same as dying, you’ve been forced into down time away from combat, that is a loss.

PC diamond spiderman onetrick here, while you're right on your point that most characters have counterplay against spidey, you didnt address pull combos. tracer>pull>punch>tracer>uppercut makes it so they have to hard flick onto you and is way harder to react to. dashing in with your get over here is essentially death in most scenarios, and the only real viable thing is a pull combo in most situations. spidey also has the ability to bait out most of these counter abilities before going in. He's still extremely weak tho
first comment that knows what is talking about. Spider-man is the most difficult character in the game, the fact that you need to learn to cancel animations to output dmg as a normal DPS is crazy, but if you put the hours, the skill ceiling is very high.
@@superloggk9631 spiderman will never put out as much damage as other dps, he is best at assisting your teammates with pulls. oneshots dont work against a team with competent healers 90% of the time. learn to keep track of the enemies ults and abilities to play around and cancel, learn how pull and uppercut affects the enemies spacing and use it to force the enemy team to ignore the rest of your team and when you see an enemy not getting healed or isolated,or you force an enemy to be isolated with a uppercut>extended pull, go in and communicate who youre going for and why to win games

Yeah in most of these clips your friend like you mentioned was not experienced with these characters and playing on controller... Yet he was able to kill you a couple of times (on most characters) and you had unlimited resources (not even trying to call your Spider-Man bad cause even in your regular match clips you did great) but in the training area you spammed webshots with no consequences if you didn't have unlimited webshots there goes like 50% or more of your damage. Now if we were to put you against the same characters but have someone who at least has a deeper understanding of those characters it would be a lot harder to beat them not even mentioning not having unlimited resources. Amazing video btw ty for bringing awareness to the spiderman is ass buff him movement.
I agree with this but most of the time the enemy should not know spiderman is there so you take them by surprise , also a really powerful kill potential of his kit is sending people in the void
For me, these arguments that he doesn't need a buff because he is untouchable for the average character and is the fastest person in the game or things like that don't make any sense. I can think quickly without trying at least 4 characters that easily kill a Spider-Man and they are: Wanda, Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist and Star-Lord. Even the top 1 Spider-Man in the world (Necros) agrees that he is weak and needs improvement, like, if the top 1 in the world says that the character is weak, something is wrong
I think he needs range buffs to be honest and some cool down adjustments because meele characters like magik and others can stay in a fight with vanguard while spiderman can't so better cool downs would mean a lot
Those characters are for lazy players that can’t aim. Definitely that character needs nerfing. But the chynah corporation hate American Spider-Man as they buff up Asian like characters.

Storm can outplay Spider-Man, but it's a bit tricky. The Storm plays from the air, and as soon as Spider-Man hits the web cluster to get over here (targeting), Storm has to change to a movement speed buff and fly down. This will evade any melee options Spider-Man has after the uppercut and throw off his aim. She doesn't even need her "E" ability because any enemies close to her will receive a movement nerf.
Just give him 275 hp and make his currently useless "spider sense" passive able to detect invisible characters (but only when they are hit by a web tracer). This buff should make him a little more viable. Lore wise spiderman can take a shit ton of hits, never made sense for him to be a 250 hp character imo.
Exactly. He's superhuman, lore wise. And gameplay wise, he's a melee diver. He needs AT LEAST 275HP! His web tracers should last a little longer and track invisible characters. His web related abilities should revolve around reloadable web cartriges, instead of cooldowns. He should be able to shoot while attatched to walls.
you forgot to mention with psylocke, if she lands her shuriken and retracts them she gets over health to 325 hp. basically she’s just harder to kill with her dash and invis
Even with infinite resources, he's still not as good as other characters, and still needs other buffs 😂 He has too many downsides and only one negligible upside. He is too squishy for a melee diver, unlike Panther, Magik, Iron Fist.. He is also pretty slow... he needs preparation. His projectiles are so slow that you have to predict your opponents movement in order to hit them. And they don't instantly do damage, you still have to successfully connect a "Pull-in" dive in order to do damage. He can't do damage without hitting you with a web tracer first, and they are limited. He won't be able to kill if he has less than 3 of them and he can't reload them. His web zips don't do damage by themselves and he can get killed during their animations, unlike Psylocke or Panther who have instant dashes that deal damage. His escape tools are slow too, he can get killed while trying to escape, unlike Psylocke, Wanda and others who just press 1 button and go invincible/invisible. His punches are nearly useless dogshit that don't stick to the target and do dogshit damage without a web tracer, except last hit. His Uppercut is his best option but he has only 2 charges with ~10 sec CD, that can only be used in combination with other moves with ~10 sec CD (Get Over Here / Web Zip). His matchups are probably 50/50 at best, and most of the rest are nearly impossible. I think there are a couple of different ways to fix him. Either increase his burst damage, making him really high risk - high reward. Or increas his sustain damage and survivability. He's superhuman afterall.. All this besides giving him more resources and the ability to reload cartriges. He should have at least 2 "Get Over Here" charges, 4 swings, and ~7 web clusters. As we saw, this would be just a QoL buff, since even with infinite resources, he'd still be pretty bad. Or.. rework his resource system, making everything web related be based on reloadable web cartriges instead of cooldowns. He also should be able to use web abilities while attached to walls.
im not sure what the final result you guys had on the spiderman vs storm 1 v 1, but in my experience storm can burst spiderman down so fast as long as they are close to each other its not even fair. as storm aura on damage and wait for spiderman to be in range for first tick of damage, left click, animation cancel into lightning burst. if spiderman doesnt die to this he will die to the second tick of channel tempest. the whole interaction is less than a second
I think his "get over here" ability should give the enemy a 1 second stun that don't run out when you hit them again when you use it on enemies with a spider tracer, then he coulde rlliably do his bread and butter combos without then out-healing your damege when they're alone.
100 hours on spidey and while I’m with you on most of your takes,your spidey is kind of awful bro. That sensitivity is ugly to look at and I don’t think I’ve seen you bhop cancel even once
I didn’t B-hop cancel but about 5 or 6 times through out the recording. I stopped doing it after running into resource problems in actual matches which made it unreliable outside of rollouts and initiating unsuspecting enemies. As for the sens, I’m still trying to lock it down on Spider-Man. Controller is ass, but not unplayable. The issue is fining a medium between extreme speed and accuracy.
A tip to anyone reading this and disliking spiderman always use the ping system so you can make the rest of your team aware of his presence so they can all come together and gang stomp him the moment he tries to combo anyone. Don't stay too close to each other because then he wants to use his ultimate always have the means necessary to deal with him as fast as possible when you can don't get mad just wait for your chance to get him.
With most characters I’ve played they all seem to have their strengths and weaknesses against other characters. With Spidey I’m completely at the mercy of the enemy team’s skill.
So this recording was 1 hour and 15 minutes and we were running on fumes for the last half hour. If I had no cooldowns, it would’ve taken about an hour and 40 from all that waiting. Maybe some other time

The only sidenote I will put in for Spidey against invisibility (not invul like Cloak) is that the targeted pull DOES track while they are invisible, but that means you have to save it once again and manage your cooldowns crazy, when Loki can swap w/ clones, Psylocke still has her dash that's armored and gives shields, and Invis still has her vortex and force pull/push. :/
4:09 I think it’s actually 50/50 on storm because sometimes when I’m trying to pick storms they always do this self shock move and it gets me basically every other time
An idea I had for a potential spider man buff was maybe giving him a unique interaction against enemies midair with a tracer. Instead of just pulling himself to them like normal, maybe pull them closer and slam them into the ground, stunning for a short duration and dealing a little bit more damage. Would probably help with his inability to deal with certain healers who can heal themselves, give him some utility for dealing with tanks, and also open up some more combo potential. Or I guess maybe they could make it so popping a tracer reduces active cooldowns by a little bit.
So for widow, if you chain the stun kicks twice. It’s enough damage to just finish you off with one shot and brings you even closer. Happened to me way too many times.
Great vid this is 100% correct recently whenever Necros is mid match and is losing bad in super high ranked games he switches to Spider-Man to have fun. He’s played wolverine and psylock more recently than spider man. He really needs a buff.
I play rocket and I don't usually have trouble facing spiderman cause you can just dash during their web zip and rocket's movement recharges faster so it's easy to just deplete resources.
Honestly it's because he didn't know black widow that she struggled as much as she did. He never did the follow up to the kick which guarantees the shot after, which is a ton of burst damage
and soon as you have a high tier spiderman the ball changes this mainly is only a basis set for the average interaction but soon as you go against someone who litterally one tricks him for multiple days on end its game over
Couldn’t the same thing be said about every character in the game? Necros is literally the best spider man, against people who have 100+hrs in 1 tricking other characters he doesn’t play Spider-Man. And if you need to hard 1 trick this character to extract any value from him in a team game, where you don’t have to do that for every other character doesn’t that just mean he’s fundamentally bad?

Its why I'm in the camp of he doesn't need buffs, he needs a rework. Against a team with half ass decent teamwork and knowledge of spider-man, he becomes completely worthless. Which is why you have the "best Spiderman" saying not to play him. Because on a competitive level he is just to easy to shut down. Against a non competitive team, quick play for example. A good spiderman becomes a literal unstoppable god. Which is why you see him in almost every quick play match. Because in an average game, he overperforms far more. Yes if you put in the work, lots of characters can be newbie crushers. But Spider man is THE newbie crusher character. Because every other marvel character the enemy team can run you down together, no matter how good you are. You aren't just "Apes strong together" running down a Spider man.
Honestly I would say iron man can win against spider man if you can aim with unibeam he can kill Spider-Man before he kills him and I’m kinda annoyed I put so many hours on Spider-Man like I’ve literally been playing the character before people like Necros played and he was ass then and he’s ass now and I don’t think healing is op it’s a necessary evil since there are a bunch of team wipe ults but Spider-Man is trash he is on and off and his damage stinks I legit wasted time grinding for Lord on that character
Storm and spidey main here. with Storm, you can counter Spiderman, Spiderman weakness is corner peaking, as long i am able to deny your "get over here" you cannot get me but another thing is using my buff lighting storm, which has an AOE tracking, so as long you in the circle with me, i am gonna get quick kills on spiderman. Another strat is actually being on hallways, or being close to the floor instead yeah i have still died to spiderman, but mitigating being on the open helps you deal with him better. with Spiderman, you really want is to hit 3 spider webs before you get in to secure it.
I find moonknight, Ironman and scarlet rly easy to kill. Other character you have to pay very close attention to their abilities that messes ur engage up, then when they use it engage (never engage on a bucky by yourself lol). Spidey needs a cooldown reduction or one of his abilities resets after a kill.
IMO, I saw someone say that his ability cooldowns should work like psylock’s where every primary hit shortens it. If not that, then shorten the web pull by 2secs, have the recharge rate of his web swings be almost the same as (if not the same) as iron fist’s jumps, and put his web clusters on a reload system but make the reload longer than the average by maybe 2 secs. As it stands now, when his cooldowns are all exhausted, he’s literally a sitting duck waiting to be eliminated.
I think unlimited web tracers, removing the in-between cooldown on his uppercut, and speeding up skill refresh on Melee hit would be beneficial. Maybe not exactly what I said because I’m not putting that much thought into it, but sometime similar would be nice
I feel like Spider-Man is an interesting situation. His core kit is good, but the cool downs are so bad that it's not worth it to a lot. I feel like it's going to be tricky if they ever buff him as I feel like if they buff him just a little too much, it can make him way overpowered.
I swear iron man with the gamma team up melts you, and I can't kill him fast enough quite often. If you swing around him and quickly get him it's possible, but usually he's pocket priority and gets saved of he's not alone. With good aim its very painful though
Either make his web clusters reload instead of cool down based, and the tracer only stays on the last target hit. Or whenever he secures a kill, the "get over here cooldown is cut in half i think a full reset like genji would be too strong, this way it kinda matches the uppercut cooldown. One of those and i think he feels better. I dont want him to be broken.
I think they would give him unlimited webs and a extra web swing and a cool consent I have is for him to have a ability to give up his webs for a like 10 seconds for all his hits to have the same damage as if the enemy was Webed and it would stack if the enemy is webed but it would only give him a small chance to do so
This isn’t just a spidey problem (spidey needs a significant buff) but a dive problem in general. Every character has insane anti dive utility in this game. If the enemy has anti dive supports like sue mantis and Loki, u just gotta swap off the dive characters which just isn’t satisfying because dive is the funnest playstyle

Im interested in hearing your thoughts about how they could balamce heals. Would it be the ult? The charge rate, ult heals or anythingnlike that? Would it be base heals too included? Also why do people complain aboit going for a kill and they get healed. Wouldn't that be more skill than a problem? Even with tuned down healing it could happen no?
If you aren’t playing tank, you heal less while in active combat is a good start. Adjusting the healing values so more than just Hawkeye can kill a target actively receiving healing. Nerfing the support ults. Cloak n Dagger and Luna specifically. Right now, DPS and support players can over extend, be within an inch of their life and not be punished for it because they get healed back to full in less than a second with regular abilities. It’s ridiculous that most DPS have a time to kill of 2 or 3 seconds but healers can recover that damage in less than half
If you want to criticize what I have to say, then offer a better solution instead of being a condescending dickhead. You’d be surprised how much can be learned from a genuine conversation

If the supports are tuned i feel like it could still happen if they pay attention to whichever player is over extending. It would be a risky play. But I guess it would be more risky if the tuning happens. I also understand what you mean by saying that supports do a lot. While I can agree that tuning to numbers could help I don't want it to personally end up like playing support in ow. I like that the supports can be independent to an extent. Maybe at the moment it's too much. But playing a support in own in where I would need to focus entirely on that felt very samey and bored me. Yeah buff Spider Man he needs 6 web clusters with faster recharge, 3 web slings 6 sec cool down, 4 meters base melee range, 4 infinite range web strings with 4 sec cool down, 2 upper cuts recharge faster, ground pound range increased 4 meters, passive sees invisible foot steps for 3 sec and 275 Hp. 🕸️ IDK something to make him viable.
I don’t feel like this is a good representation of what spider man does, your coming at your friend headfirst giving him your location and all the time he needs to react, spiderman in a real 1v1 is incredibly hard to fight , he has counters but how he can get away grab a health pack and come back is his biggest advantage , in a group setting or regular game he’s pretty bad but this dosent really showcase it
hey im a szn1 gm spiderman only player, this is a cool video idea but you guys are on console and using infinite cds in the range. like a good storm wont let u get that close or will 2 tap u in goh for example. there is counter play to alot of the mixups you guys discussed but ultimately spiderman relies on burning enemy cooldowns to even be able to do a combo which is why he feels so rough without the overhead uppercut stack bug, when you cant get a guaranteed punish after forcing cooldowns its very hard to get value you almost have to play like an off tank. forcing attention and burning cooldowns, displacing the enemy team while staying alive is very hard and a playstyle other characters are just better at. with that being said tho spidey is the most fun character in the game in my opinion. keep it up!
As a Spiderman main all the points you gave are somewhat valid but you play like the average Spiderman (no offense) without techs and other animation cancels, I can’t tell you how many “counters” I’ve foughten and torn their asses to shreds (including competent ones) respectfully I would say it’s and skill issue and I don’t mean that in a bad way but there are plenty of ways I deal with other characters and I really would say as a character spidey is very balanced damage wise, just would need more resources and he would be just amazing
yep excactly a good spidey will not be countered i seen spideys kill ppl before they have even time to react with anything the character feels even broken in the right hands sometimes especially with how mobile and how small his hitbox is you have to be very careful with a character like him i do not want him to get any buffs a good spidey is obnoxcious to deal with im glad not many are good with him
spidey is def usable in many 1v1 situations but the cooldowns and only 5 clusters really slows him down as to get ONE kill you have to pop every ability, so he def needs a buff in cooldowns and maybe even web cluster count
If u need animation cancels and sweaty techs to not get absolutely shit on with Spider-Man by most competent characters, then he most definitely needs a buff

Weeeellll if storm switched to lighting mode and activates her self buff if you go in with Spiderman you’re getting zapped my lighting and it does a fair good bit of damage. So all the storm needs to do his hit you once as you fly in have that zap you and by the time you’re gonna finish the combo you could get zapped again and die…OR in wind mode pop the self buff and it makes you move slower but I don’t think that really would affect spidey cause of his swinging
I play this other game where "finisher" is a class. And wonder if maybe this game has characters like that too? I feel like Spiderman would fit into that as well as other characters. Where you go after injured enemies.
And that would be awesome if it wasn’t for one issue. Spider-Man can’t see the enemy Health bars until after he commits the resources to hitting them. There is an argument that he can watch his team fight, but with how strong healing is in this game? It’s safe to assume no one has taken damage most of the time.
@ZenkoDuo I didn't know that you had to damage them yourself to see their healthbars. I just assume everyone could once someone was damaged. Kind of redundant since you can already see red outlines no matter what. Also yeah, healing is so abundant that it's better to assume someone is healed. Watching your team does seem to be a high elo thing tho, at least for dive characters like Venom who could also be called a finisher.
You were always on the ground I've not seen Spiderman ever on the ground other than in spawn and when he's eliminated so trying to freeze him or sleep him ect is near impossible and most Spiderman's wait for a time your in a fight or when your on cooldown so you can't counter them
What i want them to add for spidey is give him infinite web clusters 2-3 get over here's and make it where the uppercut is guaranteed when you web cluster and use get over here then it should be fine.
Storm is much harder than iron man I find. She gets an aoe damage thing that always messes me up bad if I miss. Basically feel like I have three seconds to kill her before it’s over
I guess im just that bad when it comes to fighting him as Luna, most of the time he just pretty much insta kill me with his combo, and if i am lucky enough to not die to it, he will just web or basic attack for the little bit left. he is really hard to hit the freeze on
I play a lot of storm, hela, and squirrel girl, mostly sg lately. I'm not so great at hitting my root on spidey with her, but I can reliably bounce out of his stuff and then sit in front of a healer and root him when he goes after someone else.
As a diamond spiderman main this just isn't really a fair representation because you're not performing any of his best combo nor are you accounting for spidermans insane mobility to quickly take cover or seek healthpacks in a fight. Of course at high level where there's insane co-ordination spidey is a lot weaker but its ok for characters to be weak there are still a lot of top level spidey players and he's still super fun and he's still super popular and buffing him risks turning the lower ranks into spidey hell when they're already saturated with a healthy amount of spidey mains. If you want a stronger character just don't pick spiderman

As someone who plays Storm a lot i wouldnt call that a 5 difficulty, im not saying it's easy to kill a spiderman with storm however your buddy never used the thunder mode that does decent aoe damage and when spiderman get's in your face you thunderbolt him and melee, it's very tricky but the more you play storm and go against divers u get the hang of it. like I said, it's not easy to kill spiderman but there are a few tools that you guys didnt use in your 1v1. great video non the less
If spider man has the venom team up, then he can one shot storm. Web cluster, Get over here, uppercut, Team up ability. All that can happen in under 1,5 seconds, so there is no way for any healer to react. A competent spiderman with a teamup obliterates character like iron man and storm.
Firstly, check your sense. If you are playing Thor it’s very likely your sensitivity was accommodating his melee bruiser play style, which doesn’t need precision like Punisher. Secondly, Take advantage of range and corners. Staying safe means staying calm and hitting more shots. Don’t over extend unless you feel like the time has arrived. If you can’t hit heads then focus on bodies first and move up to the head once you’re hitting. Third: Just play more. I sucked on him for my first few games but eventually it started to click. Especially once I learned the effective shotgun range. Fourth: Practice good curser placement. Try and keep your cross hair in the center of the screen at all times to minimize the amount of adjusting you’ll have to do in order to hit a target.

You're right, I've played against Storms that amp their thunder right as they're tagged, if you go to them, they need to hit two shots and you're dead from AoE, to adapt you just don't go on them and wait it out, once it's over she's pretty harmless.
But a Storm that plays around you is definitely not a free pick.
Playing spiderman feels like being on finals week and than suddenly turning into a homeless man after you get 1 C on your exam (questions weren't in the curriculum)
GM Spidey here, Spidermans only winning matchups (as in, 1v1s he can comfortably take and consistently win) are:
Moon Knight: once you bait the ankh he doesnt have enough mobility to escape and has a hard time hitting his burst projectile.
Scarlet Witch: Annoying to track through her invuln but she doesnt have the burst to consistently kill you before you kill her.
Adam Warlock: Even with the self heal, he absolutley lacks any mobility or surivabilty, letting spiderman just force out the heal and reengage
Iron Man: Bro hes asking for it
Every other matchup that he should win on paper (Black widow, Squirel Girl, Hawkeye,...) have tools to consistently shutdown spiderman after he already engages (the squirrell trap, widows pirrouette) and that will guaruntee that he dies for it.
Storm can now empower herself and literally create an antidive field, which she can cycle behind her tanks, making her actually pretty decen to run against spiderman
Hes extremley weak right now and it kinda forces you to play less like a backline assasin and more like a mosquito, just buzzing around.
He is pretty reliant on venom teamup at higher ranks
moon knights are so easy to kill because you already know they suck because they playing moon knight in the first place but the only people that make me switch is scarlet witch and namor like i can't do shi to them
You should add Widow and Hawkeye ngl. Though they have the tools, once you get in close range with them, they are a free kill. ESPECIALLY Widow
I’ve never had much issue killing those characters as Spidey. You just gotta catch them off gaurd, get in close range, and make them work their camera which isn’t hard to do with Spider-Man

The real problem is that you have to commit so hard to get a kill you have to know the map layout you have to know if the enemy escape goat is on cooldown you have to know if they are alone or with someone by their side just to get one kill while Hela or Hawkeye only needs to aim at their direction and gain the same value
Plus you have to know how to aim while some character like Wanda and Namor just need to know where to position themselves
If spidey is able to do what most other dps could do, then they should only give spider 1 swing. Spidey has to be weak cuz he has more mobility than average character. He could also bunnyhop so his momentum is carried over. He could swing back in 1 second after respawning, there are no other characters as loaded as him.

Just to mention a part abt the supports not only do they have decent dmg and have heals but in the chance you almost kill one they just pop ult.
On the good side, you force an ultimate on their team , gives your team an advantage to use your ultimates later on , if iron-man on your side, he can maximum pulse their luna or mantis or cloak dagger ulti
If you dive in as Spidy, you either get one kill , get out , do a dive through uppercut punch to disrupt their backlines or force their support to ulti
Anyways, yeah the healers in this game prob doing little too much damage or just reduce their ultimate duration

Namor is the *BANE* for Spidy , if your teammates are not helping you kill those squids, you have to keep going after him , if nobody’s shooting them , you’re forced to switch to another character.
Also, once again, Spider-man needs *COOLDOWN BUFFS* for his web pull as it’s egregiously long and his web tracers too, he struggles to kill his targets at times, he can do that *ONLY when Venom is present , no one hit KO combo unlike Magik or Black Panther just destroying a whole group*
Maybe not have a cooldown on his uppercuts , he can use both twice in a row to finish off a support or DPS hero? Anyways, having cooldown buffs for his web tracers and web pull would help immensely

Most of the maps he can’t throw ppl. Spidy struggles to get kills if the enemy teams are competent healers , he doesn’t have a one shot kill combo unlike magik, he needs venom help with that to even be viable

Storm can actually counter spider-man, using skill (in lightning mode) and 2 basics or one basic and a lightning bolt kills him. The only way for her to lose is if you have bad aim or spider has venom for the one shot combo and she doesn't get healed

I wouldn’t know because I don’t use Storm, but I thought that only applied when you hit someone within the circle.
So you strike an enemy and then any enemy in the radius gets hit as well.
@ZenkoDuo storm skill works like this, in wind mode it makes you and your allies faster if you use it, but in lightning mode it gives you more damage buffs and your allies, unleashing an initial lightning hit (aoe) hitting anyone inside the circle, then anyone that is within the circle (either was in it before or entered it after) gets hit by a strong lightning bolt periodically. The periods between each bolt is around 3 seconds. Her other skill does almost half the health of a 250 hp target, so within the lightning field skill (the initial hit) then you have the massive damage buff, one basic and her bolt skill will kill a spiderman easily, and if you have a thor teamup you will have another bolt skill that tracks nearby enemies (within a short range)

Spiderman is outgunned by most of the projectile focused characters, and out muscled by most of the melee specialist.
This video make me realize he's some weird underwhelming hybrid who needs some more sauce in either his ability to poke and set-up stuff from range or when hes going in to throw hands, or even both really.
But I'm also thinking, like, there's absolutely more spider-people on the way, and I wonder if the sauce peter parker needs is probably going to show up in a spider-person whos maybe focused more on CC, or is even more melee focused, or something.

Some of my opinions on these:
As Black Panther, if you wait for the web zip to use your dash, you can force the Spiderman to miss his first uppercut 90% of the time
As Magik, you can do the same with her s
As Moon knight, you can use the ankh right as Spiderman uses his web zips to you to CC him, and then kill him in seconds
As Storm, her AOE damage move can very quickly kill a Spiderman
Black widows kick has a followup attack which stuns for quite some time, so if your friend used that it'd have made it much easier to headshot you
I love the fact that nearly every char has either a panic button to save themselves from "oneshot combo" or they just outdamage spidey outright. Exaples: rocket heal, luna self heal and freeze, mantis sedate and passive regen, c&d is just outright a menace to spidey cuz of the heal zone and cloak's lmb, Sue's push e.t.c. The worst part is, spidey's cooldowns are LONGER than these panic buttons. Don't even get me started on what happens when you try to dive someone like starlord, punisher, hell even storm and iron man outdamage him when he's supposed to be countering flying chars 😭
As a spider-man main i agree that almost everyone has something to counter spider-man but you are forgetting spidermans ability to choose fights and go get a health pack mid 1v1
So you say spider man should also just go in do dmg and take dmg and run of to his team or a health pack then what’s the point of him being an assassination class character ? You Trina say Spider-Man should just farm dmg for ult and then go to ult and guess what you get shutdown mid ult by stuns that have almost no cool down and if the enemy supports like Luna or Susan ult or mantis ult you just made yourself look like a clown in front of your team the main reason people clown on spider players is because of his lower number of kills as he has to get kills on his own with almost no support by his team in the Backline that enemy supports if they are even a little decent and know how their support character works can just eat the dmg heal them selves and guess you are put of abilities and now gotta at least 6-8seconds before trying to reenage

PC diamond spiderman onetrick here, while you're right on your point that most characters have counterplay against spidey, you didnt address pull combos. tracer>pull>punch>tracer>uppercut makes it so they have to hard flick onto you and is way harder to react to. dashing in with your get over here is essentially death in most scenarios, and the only real viable thing is a pull combo in most situations. spidey also has the ability to bait out most of these counter abilities before going in. He's still extremely weak tho
first comment that knows what is talking about. Spider-man is the most difficult character in the game, the fact that you need to learn to cancel animations to output dmg as a normal DPS is crazy, but if you put the hours, the skill ceiling is very high.
@@superloggk9631 spiderman will never put out as much damage as other dps, he is best at assisting your teammates with pulls. oneshots dont work against a team with competent healers 90% of the time. learn to keep track of the enemies ults and abilities to play around and cancel, learn how pull and uppercut affects the enemies spacing and use it to force the enemy team to ignore the rest of your team and when you see an enemy not getting healed or isolated,or you force an enemy to be isolated with a uppercut>extended pull, go in and communicate who youre going for and why to win games

Yeah in most of these clips your friend like you mentioned was not experienced with these characters and playing on controller... Yet he was able to kill you a couple of times (on most characters) and you had unlimited resources (not even trying to call your Spider-Man bad cause even in your regular match clips you did great) but in the training area you spammed webshots with no consequences if you didn't have unlimited webshots there goes like 50% or more of your damage. Now if we were to put you against the same characters but have someone who at least has a deeper understanding of those characters it would be a lot harder to beat them not even mentioning not having unlimited resources. I agree with this but most of the time the enemy should not know spiderman is there so you take them by surprise , also a really powerful kill potential of his kit is sending people in the void
For me, these arguments that he doesn't need a buff because he is untouchable for the average character and is the fastest person in the game or things like that don't make any sense. I can think quickly without trying at least 4 characters that easily kill a Spider-Man and they are: Wanda, Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist and Star-Lord. Even the top 1 Spider-Man in the world (Necros) agrees that he is weak and needs improvement, like, if the top 1 in the world says that the character is weak, something is wrong
I think he needs range buffs to be honest and some cool down adjustments because meele characters like magik and others can stay in a fight with vanguard while spiderman can't so better cool downs would mean a lot

Spider-man definitely needs a buff
Storm can outplay Spider-Man, but it's a bit tricky. The Storm plays from the air, and as soon as Spider-Man hits the web cluster to get over here (targeting), Storm has to change to a movement speed buff and fly down. This will evade any melee options Spider-Man has after the uppercut and throw off his aim. She doesn't even need her "E" ability because any enemies close to her will receive a movement nerf.
Just give him 275 hp and make his currently useless "spider sense" passive able to detect invisible characters (but only when they are hit by a web tracer).
This buff should make him a little more viable. Lore wise spiderman can take a shit ton of hits, never made sense for him to be a 250 hp character imo.

He's superhuman, lore wise. And gameplay wise, he's a melee diver. He needs AT LEAST 275HP!

His web related abilities should revolve around reloadable web cartriges, instead of cooldowns.

you forgot to mention with psylocke, if she lands her shuriken and retracts them she gets over health to 325 hp. basically she’s just harder to kill with her dash and invis

He has too many downsides and only one negligible upside.
He is too squishy for a melee diver, unlike Panther, Magik, Iron Fist..
He is also pretty slow... he needs preparation.
His projectiles are so slow that you have to predict your opponents movement in order to hit them. And they don't instantly do damage, you still have to successfully connect a "Pull-in" dive in order to do damage.
He can't do damage without hitting you with a web tracer first, and they are limited. He won't be able to kill if he has less than 3 of them and he can't reload them.
His web zips don't do damage by themselves and he can get killed during their animations, unlike Psylocke or Panther who have instant dashes that deal damage.
His escape tools are slow too, he can get killed while trying to escape, unlike Psylocke, Wanda and others who just press 1 button and go invincible/invisible.
His punches are nearly useless dogshit that don't stick to the target and do dogshit damage without a web tracer, except last hit.
His Uppercut is his best option but he has only 2 charges with ~10 sec CD, that can only be used in combination with other moves with ~10 sec CD (Get Over Here / Web Zip).
His matchups are probably 50/50 at best, and most of the rest are nearly impossible.
I think there are a couple of different ways to fix him.
Either increase his burst damage, making him really high risk - high reward.
Or increas his sustain damage and survivability. He's superhuman afterall..
All this besides giving him more resources and the ability to reload cartriges. He should have at least 2 "Get Over Here" charges, 4 swings, and ~7 web clusters.
As we saw, this would be just a QoL buff, since even with infinite resources, he'd still be pretty bad.
Or.. rework his resource system, making everything web related be based on reloadable web cartriges instead of cooldowns.
He also should be able to use web abilities while attached to walls.

I think his "get over here" ability should give the enemy a 1 second stun that don't run out when you hit them again when you use it on enemies with a spider tracer, then he coulde rlliably do his bread and butter combos without then out-healing your damege when they're alone.
100 hours on spidey and while I’m with you on most of your takes,your spidey is kind of awful bro. That sensitivity is ugly to look at and I don’t think I’ve seen you bhop cancel even once
I didn’t B-hop cancel but about 5 or 6 times through out the recording. I stopped doing it after running into resource problems in actual matches which made it unreliable outside of rollouts and initiating unsuspecting enemies.
As for the sens, I’m still trying to lock it down on Spider-Man. Controller is ass, but not unplayable. The issue is fining a medium between extreme speed and accuracy.

A tip to anyone reading this and disliking spiderman always use the ping system so you can make the rest of your team aware of his presence so they can all come together and gang stomp him the moment he tries to combo anyone. Don't stay too close to each other because then he wants to use his ultimate always have the means necessary to deal with him as fast as possible when you can don't get mad just wait for your chance to get him.
The spiderman hate is real but also incredibly prompted.
With most characters I’ve played they all seem to have their strengths and weaknesses against other characters.
With Spidey I’m completely at the mercy of the enemy team’s skill.
Next time turn off cool downs so you show the real experience of zero resources.
So this recording was 1 hour and 15 minutes and we were running on fumes for the last half hour.
If I had no cooldowns, it would’ve taken about an hour and 40 from all that waiting.

The only sidenote I will put in for Spidey against invisibility (not invul like Cloak) is that the targeted pull DOES track while they are invisible, but that means you have to save it once again and manage your cooldowns crazy, when Loki can swap w/ clones, Psylocke still has her dash that's armored and gives shields, and Invis still has her vortex and force pull/push. :/

I think it’s actually 50/50 on storm because sometimes when I’m trying to pick storms they always do this self shock move and it gets me basically every other time
An idea I had for a potential spider man buff was maybe giving him a unique interaction against enemies midair with a tracer. Instead of just pulling himself to them like normal, maybe pull them closer and slam them into the ground, stunning for a short duration and dealing a little bit more damage. Would probably help with his inability to deal with certain healers who can heal themselves, give him some utility for dealing with tanks, and also open up some more combo potential.
Or I guess maybe they could make it so popping a tracer reduces active cooldowns by a little bit.

So for widow, if you chain the stun kicks twice. It’s enough damage to just finish you off with one shot and brings you even closer. Happened to me way too many times.

I play rocket and I don't usually have trouble facing spiderman cause you can just dash during their web zip and rocket's movement recharges faster so it's easy to just deplete resources.
Honestly it's because he didn't know black widow that she struggled as much as she did. He never did the follow up to the kick which guarantees the shot after, which is a ton of burst damage
and soon as you have a high tier spiderman the ball changes this mainly is only a basis set for the average interaction but soon as you go against someone who litterally one tricks him for multiple days on end its game over

Couldn’t the same thing be said about every character in the game? Necros is literally the best spider man, against people who have 100+hrs in 1 tricking other characters he doesn’t play Spider-Man. And if you need to hard 1 trick this character to extract any value from him in a team game, where you don’t have to do that for every other character doesn’t that just mean he’s fundamentally bad?

Against a team with half ass decent teamwork and knowledge of spider-man, he becomes completely worthless. Which is why you have the "best Spiderman" saying not to play him. Because on a competitive level he is just to easy to shut down.
Against a non competitive team, quick play for example. A good spiderman becomes a literal unstoppable god. Which is why you see him in almost every quick play match. Because in an average game, he overperforms far more.
Yes if you put in the work, lots of characters can be newbie crushers. But Spider man is THE newbie crusher character. Because every other marvel character the enemy team can run you down together, no matter how good you are. You aren't just "Apes strong together" running down a Spider man.

with Storm, you can counter Spiderman, Spiderman weakness is corner peaking, as long i am able to deny your "get over here" you cannot get me but another thing is using my buff lighting storm, which has an AOE tracking, so as long you in the circle with me, i am gonna get quick kills on spiderman.
Another strat is actually being on hallways, or being close to the floor instead yeah i have still died to spiderman, but mitigating being on the open helps you deal with him better.
with Spiderman, you really want is to hit 3 spider webs before you get in to secure it.
i find it pretty easy to counter spider man as storm as her E ability and hitting the rmb you can enough burst dmg to scare them off or just kill them
I find moonknight, Ironman and scarlet rly easy to kill. Other character you have to pay very close attention to their abilities that messes ur engage up, then when they use it engage (never engage on a bucky by yourself lol). Spidey needs a cooldown reduction or one of his abilities resets after a kill.
IMO, I saw someone say that his ability cooldowns should work like psylock’s where every primary hit shortens it. If not that, then shorten the web pull by 2secs, have the recharge rate of his web swings be almost the same as (if not the same) as iron fist’s jumps, and put his web clusters on a reload system but make the reload longer than the average by maybe 2 secs. As it stands now, when his cooldowns are all exhausted, he’s literally a sitting duck waiting to be eliminated.
I think unlimited web tracers, removing the in-between cooldown on his uppercut, and speeding up skill refresh on Melee hit would be beneficial.
Maybe not exactly what I said because I’m not putting that much thought into it, but sometime similar would be nice
I feel like Spider-Man is an interesting situation. His core kit is good, but the cool downs are so bad that it's not worth it to a lot. I feel like it's going to be tricky if they ever buff him as I feel like if they buff him just a little too much, it can make him way overpowered.
I swear iron man with the gamma team up melts you, and I can't kill him fast enough quite often. If you swing around him and quickly get him it's possible, but usually he's pocket priority and gets saved of he's not alone. With good aim its very painful though
Either make his web clusters reload instead of cool down based, and the tracer only stays on the last target hit. Or whenever he secures a kill, the "get over here cooldown is cut in half i think a full reset like genji would be too strong, this way it kinda matches the uppercut cooldown. One of those and i think he feels better. I dont want him to be broken.
Was your storm even damage boosting? He didn't even activate his E or used his right-click.

I think they would give him unlimited webs and a extra web swing and a cool consent I have is for him to have a ability to give up his webs for a like 10 seconds for all his hits to have the same damage as if the enemy was Webed and it would stack if the enemy is webed but it would only give him a small chance to do so
This isn’t just a spidey problem (spidey needs a significant buff) but a dive problem in general. Every character has insane anti dive utility in this game. If the enemy has anti dive supports like sue mantis and Loki, u just gotta swap off the dive characters which just isn’t satisfying because dive is the funnest playstyle

Im interested in hearing your thoughts about how they could balamce heals. Would it be the ult? The charge rate, ult heals or anythingnlike that? Would it be base heals too included?
Also why do people complain aboit going for a kill and they get healed. Wouldn't that be more skill than a problem? Even with tuned down healing it could happen no?
If you aren’t playing tank, you heal less while in active combat is a good start.
Adjusting the healing values so more than just Hawkeye can kill a target actively receiving healing.
Nerfing the support ults. Cloak n Dagger and Luna specifically.
Right now, DPS and support players can over extend, be within an inch of their life and not be punished for it because they get healed back to full in less than a second with regular abilities.
It’s ridiculous that most DPS have a time to kill of 2 or 3 seconds but healers can recover that damage in less than half

On your point about over extending. Could that not happen anyways? If the supports are tuned i feel like it could still happen if they pay attention to whichever player is over extending. It would be a risky play. But I guess it would be more risky if the tuning happens.
I also understand what you mean by saying that supports do a lot. While I can agree that tuning to numbers could help I don't want it to personally end up like playing support in ow. I like that the supports can be independent to an extent. Maybe at the moment it's too much. But playing a support in own in where I would need to focus entirely on that felt very samey and bored me.

Yeah buff Spider Man he needs 6 web clusters with faster recharge, 3 web slings 6 sec cool down, 4 meters base melee range, 4 infinite range web strings with 4 sec cool down, 2 upper cuts recharge faster, ground pound range increased 4 meters, passive sees invisible foot steps for 3 sec and 275 Hp. 🕸️ IDK something to make him viable.
I don’t feel like this is a good representation of what spider man does, your coming at your friend headfirst giving him your location and all the time he needs to react, spiderman in a real 1v1 is incredibly hard to fight , he has counters but how he can get away grab a health pack and come back is his biggest advantage , in a group setting or regular game he’s pretty bad but this dosent really showcase it

hey im a szn1 gm spiderman only player, this is a cool video idea but you guys are on console and using infinite cds in the range. like a good storm wont let u get that close or will 2 tap u in goh for example. there is counter play to alot of the mixups you guys discussed but ultimately spiderman relies on burning enemy cooldowns to even be able to do a combo which is why he feels so rough without the overhead uppercut stack bug, when you cant get a guaranteed punish after forcing cooldowns its very hard to get value you almost have to play like an off tank. forcing attention and burning cooldowns, displacing the enemy team while staying alive is very hard and a playstyle other characters are just better at. with that being said tho spidey is the most fun character in the game in my opinion. keep it up!
As a Spiderman main all the points you gave are somewhat valid but you play like the average Spiderman (no offense) without techs and other animation cancels, I can’t tell you how many “counters” I’ve foughten and torn their asses to shreds (including competent ones) respectfully I would say it’s and skill issue and I don’t mean that in a bad way but there are plenty of ways I deal with other characters and I really would say as a character spidey is very balanced damage wise, just would need more resources and he would be just amazing
yep excactly a good spidey will not be countered i seen spideys kill ppl before they have even time to react with anything the character feels even broken in the right hands sometimes especially with how mobile and how small his hitbox is you have to be very careful with a character like him i do not want him to get any buffs a good spidey is obnoxcious to deal with im glad not many are good with him
spidey is def usable in many 1v1 situations but the cooldowns and only 5 clusters really slows him down as to get ONE kill you have to pop every ability, so he def needs a buff in cooldowns and maybe even web cluster count

Weeeellll if storm switched to lighting mode and activates her self buff if you go in with Spiderman you’re getting zapped my lighting and it does a fair good bit of damage. So all the storm needs to do his hit you once as you fly in have that zap you and by the time you’re gonna finish the combo you could get zapped again and die…OR in wind mode pop the self buff and it makes you move slower but I don’t think that really would affect spidey cause of his swinging
trust me storm can kill spidy if they are good the awaken thunder and lighting bolt + i think 1/2 basics kills him

I play this other game where "finisher" is a class. And wonder if maybe this game has characters like that too? I feel like Spiderman would fit into that as well as other characters. Where you go after injured enemies.

Spider-Man can’t see the enemy Health bars until after he commits the resources to hitting them.
There is an argument that he can watch his team fight, but with how strong healing is in this game? It’s safe to assume no one has taken damage most of the time.
@ZenkoDuo I didn't know that you had to damage them yourself to see their healthbars. I just assume everyone could once someone was damaged. Kind of redundant since you can already see red outlines no matter what. Also yeah, healing is so abundant that it's better to assume someone is healed. Watching your team does seem to be a high elo thing tho, at least for dive characters like Venom who could also be called a finisher.
That doesn't work with how much healing is in this game

You were always on the ground I've not seen Spiderman ever on the ground other than in spawn and when he's eliminated so trying to freeze him or sleep him ect is near impossible and most Spiderman's wait for a time your in a fight or when your on cooldown so you can't counter them
What i want them to add for spidey is give him infinite web clusters 2-3 get over here's and make it where the uppercut is guaranteed when you web cluster and use get over here then it should be fine.
Even Black Widows can outplay Spidey. Once they get you from her E stun she can deplete your health right there.
Storm is much harder than iron man I find. She gets an aoe damage thing that always messes me up bad if I miss. Basically feel like I have three seconds to kill her before it’s over
Storm actually destroys Spider-Man. If you see one on the enemy teams you just hold your cooldowns for when they attack and delete them
I guess im just that bad when it comes to fighting him as Luna, most of the time he just pretty much insta kill me with his combo, and if i am lucky enough to not die to it, he will just web or basic attack for the little bit left. he is really hard to hit the freeze on
I play a lot of storm, hela, and squirrel girl, mostly sg lately. I'm not so great at hitting my root on spidey with her, but I can reliably bounce out of his stuff and then sit in front of a healer and root him when he goes after someone else.
Storm lighting form can barely let spiderman get close, use her lighting mode then her buff skill and he's dead

As a diamond spiderman main this just isn't really a fair representation because you're not performing any of his best combo nor are you accounting for spidermans insane mobility to quickly take cover or seek healthpacks in a fight. Of course at high level where there's insane co-ordination spidey is a lot weaker but its ok for characters to be weak there are still a lot of top level spidey players and he's still super fun and he's still super popular and buffing him risks turning the lower ranks into spidey hell when they're already saturated with a healthy amount of spidey mains. If you want a stronger character just don't pick spiderman

As someone who plays Storm a lot i wouldnt call that a 5 difficulty, im not saying it's easy to kill a spiderman with storm however your buddy never used the thunder mode that does decent aoe damage and when spiderman get's in your face you thunderbolt him and melee, it's very tricky but the more you play storm and go against divers u get the hang of it. like I said, it's not easy to kill spiderman but there are a few tools that you guys didnt use in your 1v1. great video non the less
If spider man has the venom team up, then he can one shot storm. Web cluster, Get over here, uppercut, Team up ability. All that can happen in under 1,5 seconds, so there is no way for any healer to react. A competent spiderman with a teamup obliterates character like iron man and storm.
Not relevant do you have any tips for aiming as punisher he’s one of my favorite character but I feel shitty at Him compared to me playing Thor
Firstly, check your sense.
If you are playing Thor it’s very likely your sensitivity was accommodating his melee bruiser play style, which doesn’t need precision like Punisher.
Secondly, Take advantage of range and corners. Staying safe means staying calm and hitting more shots. Don’t over extend unless you feel like the time has arrived. If you can’t hit heads then focus on bodies first and move up to the head once you’re hitting.
Third: Just play more. I sucked on him for my first few games but eventually it started to click. Especially once I learned the effective shotgun range.
Fourth:
Practice good curser placement. Try and keep your cross hair in the center of the screen at all times to minimize the amount of adjusting you’ll have to do in order to hit a target.
