I don't remember who told me this, but it's some of the best advice I ever got. You are you, and no matter how hard you try you will never be someone else. So, you might as well be yourself, and the best version of yourself at that.
You are correct. I am now a schizophrenic avatar of an Egyptian god, billionaire playboy philanthropist, hungry and violent essence of black goo, a woman with a squirrel tail, a pretty lady with psychic sword powers, and Ryan Gosling.
This hit me just that little bit harder with Iron Man in the thumbnail. I only just started playing Rivals and Iron Man is the only thing I really enjoy playing right now. In a way, it feels like that’s what fits me the best. Iv tried some of the other heroes but it feels like im trying to force myself into something that doesn’t feel right. I guess in a way it feels like im pretending to be something im not when I play anything else. It will always be interesting just how symbolic gaming can be.
7:07 this is actually a REALLY great example when were talking about loki matter of fact if we want to look at his history: hes a trickster, he always pretends and lies, which makes people around him avoid him or think of him as a villain when they realize his nature and thats what hes always portrayed as: a villain. BUT if we look at other deceptions of him, the most relevant here being the loki mcu show, we can learn more about his character, he himself in a way states that he uses his tricks and his magic to hide away his weaknesses as stated in episode one of season one (maybe ep 2 but idk) and after getting that info out of his system and finally accepting hes not who he pretends to be we see him grow as a character to be more relatable and grow more attached to him, we see him attract more people in the tva and outside to be his companions/friends, he begins ignoring what his (i guess you could say) mask wants (a throne, specifically asgard’s or another higher power, one of which he never achieves in a serious supposedly not a what if situation, something he wants to get validation from people around him) and actually want to spend time with his family and friends and save what he has, and in the end in stead of facing the cruel consequences of his pretending he gains a heroic ending with the entire state of time being burdened on his hands (no quite literally on his hands (i mean i guess you could say in)) which makes him just one of the best characters of all time! And really you could see that while were not really living in marvel talking about some villain and hero nonsense you could see that through his story, if we stop pretending to be someone else for attention or personal wants and actually be ourselves we could become some of the happiest people ever and more of that better humans! (Btw i didnt really have time to say this earlier and idk if your reading this or not but just to say, this is one of the most underrated and welldone videos ive ever seen, no hidden message or “motivation” in the form of “discipline” aka insults and shaming, but just a great guy talking in a kind maneuver over here motivating people, i really wish to see you grow as a content creator and keep doing what your doing mate!
Man, I Lowkey ... get it no? Okay I'll stop. But seriously I never even watched Loki. Don't hurt me I just never had the time lol. You explained it better than I did and gave me some new insight thanks for this comment. I really appreciate comments like these it shows I am reaching you guys and that makes me happier than being a famous content creator
thank you man its been hard I've been struggling with my co-dependance and my autism, it has been hard for my self-confidence and i know I wont change overnight but its not a sprint but a marathon much love to yall
agree, play heroes u enjoy, whether ranked or qp or perhaps arcade modes. If they bother you, there is always mute option. I am ow player and the amount cringe things i experienced taught a lot.
Mess with the meaning but not the journey of the message, you dont need anyone, looking for a positive person in your life is something that might never come. Start looking for questions that can't be answered by anyone else and find your own answer.
Slight problem sir: I don't care about people and whether or not they like me. My issue is that the "real me" is a morally reprehensible ass. soon as i get comfortable and the façade breaks, I end up doing things i despise and it scares everyone off. It's either isolation, being surrounded by horrible people, or keep being the husk of a creature i usually am.
Be yourself, everyone else is already taken..
That’s a good oneeeee. Your getting the pin
this actually helped.

I love this advice I'm pinning this ❤️
Instructions unclear. I am now Squirrel Girl.

Owning yourself is something you cannot go around, or you'll be running in circles forever.
