The fact he didn't even use half the characters abilities like black widow's kick has a stun follow up and in a small room Moon knight's ank is crazy against spiderman cause you can't zip get away

Idk where in the spiderverse yall crawled from, but Spider-Man, in all the games i play against him, KOs our healers insanely fast. Like one stupid web shot combo and im dead before i cant even react. And this happens over and over all match long. i cant heal my team if im trying to constantly hide from Spider-Man. I main healers so the idea of Spider-Man needing a buff sounds insane. I feel like I’m defenseless against him as it is. And before you tell me it’s a skill issue. I’m a lord CD and lord IW. If i see him coming i can’t stand a chance but if im trying to heal my tanks how am I supposed to look behind me for spidey? 😩 even when me and the other healer tag teams him to protect each other, he just ults us both.

Any change mentioned here is necessary, but call me crazy, but I think he should also get an extra ability similar to Spider-Cannon from MVC infinite, one that’s Omni directional with a small AOE so you don’t need to be as precise to safely get in and do damage (of course from the air unlike the game it’s from).

Changes I would make as a Spider-Man main. Note: These changes are not meant to be all together, each one is it's own suggestion. 1) Getting a KO will give him another web-tracer 2) Missing a web-grab will give a lower cool down than hitting it 3) A relatively slow reload that refills his web-based attacks 4) Web tracers trace invisible enemys. Like a tracer would. 5) His ultimate reaches further, and does more damage, and stuns them faster; If Bucky can do his ult 6 times, then spidey can have an ult that is worth turning around for

Spidey cant kill mines or ankhs but can get Iron Man, Storm, Moon Knight, characters like that without healing counters from my experience. I think I could definitely take a few healers especially when aided by team. Its really hard to kill tanks at all without a team which i guess makes sense and my main problems is the get over here being so hard to hit, consistently being on cooldown, and not being able to melee kill people when they just straight up run away. Also Jeff is so broken and hard to kill whenever he just goes underground.

These 1v1 examples aren't remotely close to how it is in game lol. 98% of the time, spiderman go in when the enemy isnt looking and are actually able to do the one-shot combo. Yall say how hard he is and he requires the most skill but ignore the fact that the only thing he has to aim are the primary fires. The pull auto locks and the uppercut covers 360 degrees, not to mention the ult. I will give credit to how ass his web slinging is to deal with but that's being generous; good luck hitting someone flying out at MOC 1. Honestly his gameplay loop is way too reliant on all his cooldowns that its not even enjoyable to play as or against. Web in, mash all the buttons and swing out, rinse/repeat in 15 seconds. How engaging lmao

So, the way Spiderman actually works is that you need to bait out important cooldowns with your websling + uppercut, and THEN you can go in on your target. Unfortunately, this becomes impossible at higher ranks (because better players will simply save the cooldowns instead of panicking), which is why Spiderman is consistently terrible across all ranks.

Tbh most of these weaknesses (i'm halway through the video) that you present heavily rely on the person expecting the spider man to go at them and being ready/looking at the spider man, you won't even see a good spiderman, he'll just spawn on you, get you to low hp before u react and once u react is 1 move or 1 M1 away from killing u. So most characters need like a godly reaction time and a good amount of them need good aim too and Spiderman is in my opinion one of, if not the hardest, to hit in the game because of how fast he is and his mobility, but then there's characters like Scarlet Witch and Namor that just Hard counter him, which tbh is necessary considering how good Spiderman can be if played right, poor Iron man tho, bro's hard countered by at least 17/35 characters in the game. 😔

Spider-man is not bad. He isn’t great but he isn’t bad lol. He’s def situational for sure. You can go 30-4 one match and 3-12 the next. But you should honestly be using Spider-man where he’s actually needed. If the team has 3 healers? Don’t need him. Team has a Namor? Sorry Spidy lol. I wish his get over here grab and his tracking web tracer kick were two diff abilities tbh. Also a way to refill your webs faster if you’re not taking damage to get back into the fight faster. But saying he’s the worst in the game is OD lol This game was not made for one trick ponies.

coming from a console player i do NOT want to watch this video... its very hard to balance characters across platforms. with that being said you DONT know the proper combos, you don't know proper resource management, and you dont know what to do when this proper combo doesnt kill (i.e they get healed) Do i feel like spidey needs a buff? Honestly yea, make web clusters regenerate faster or give us them when we get a kill.. thats really it, his damage IS FINE IF YOU KNOW THE PROPER COMBOS. i play on PC and god spidey is so fucking fun, will it be easier to climb and play if i pick any other character.. well yea but learning spidey and all the micro situations to pull out his moves is so worth it. I HAVENT SEEN YOU HEAD BONK ONCE. Like.. you dont know how to play spiderman as a PC player, maybe as console ur doing fine ive had some console spideys in my lobby... it okay bro.. hes not for everyone.

You have to set ur get over here ability to a separate bind than ur lock on so there's no delay when u land a sticky

I’m not gonna lie, bro as a plat Spider-Man player you are just bad at Spider-Man😂😂 The punisher gameplay was all I needed to see. I have like 32 hours on Spider-Man. I have a 55 win% with him. And i’d play on controller. Spider-Man desperately needs above whether it be cool or what not like you said but you are just genuinely bad at him.

There is one thing he can consistently do really well. Be a scourge to every storm player. Lacking mobility, she has to either dump every cooldown and never miss, or accept her fate. In all seriousness, i see spidey being the first rework...if they ever do that kind of thing. In my opinion, swinging is fun, but his kit is just kinda lame on top of the inconsistency.

This is also the sad reality of IF he feels busted at first but in higher lvls of play he’s damn near useless at times bc of supports,cooldowns, and buggy hit detection

I love the fact that nearly every char has either a panic button to save themselves from "oneshot combo" or they just outdamage spidey outright. Exaples: rocket heal, luna self heal and freeze, mantis sedate and passive regen, c&d is just outright a menace to spidey cuz of the heal zone and cloak's lmb, Sue's push e.t.c. The worst part is, spidey's cooldowns are LONGER than these panic buttons. Don't even get me started on what happens when you try to dive someone like starlord, punisher, hell even storm and iron man outdamage him when he's supposed to be countering flying chars 😭

For scarlet witch, spider-mans tracer still carries over to her invisibility thing, and since a player will pop it usually when they are super low, its an easy plan to tracer, watch her go invisible then zip onto her and upper cut for an instant kill. Also as a spider-man main, I agree that he needs a buff, but almost every "counter" you show is only a counter because you are always trying to do the same combo, switch things up and you'll see. I have beaten most of this characters in numerous 1v1s because its about planning and timing, not just tracer then zip in to upper cut, thats just the fastest damage combo. Some easy ways to counter these counter movies would be to: Shoot tracers in between normal punches since it doubles the damage, so if you TRACER PUNCH PUNCH TRACER PUNCH, and get the timing right to not lose the kick you can kill somebody instantly and not waste any abilities. If you bunny hop into a fight the enemy player will use the exact same abilities to push you away but you would keep your web zip and upper cut. If you use more advances tech like a plink you can consistently hit the down attack and do higher damage. You're not wrong that he's weak rn, and he should have a faster cooldown across the board or an ability reset like black panther, but it feels more like you're ignoring the team fight aspect and just saying "in a 1v1 the more difficult character is losing to the easier character" and it's you trying the exact same move on different characters

i'm a spiderman main and even tho i agree with a lot of what you say , the fact that you can counter characters that are op like storm, moonknight, iron man with or with out the team up, you can pull people out of position and off the map is very strong, so when you say he's the worst character and by a mile you are simply wrong as long as the enemy doesn't have 3 supports or a good namor you can do your job or even dominate as long as your are good with the character

I feel like Spider-Man is an interesting situation. His core kit is good, but the cool downs are so bad that it's not worth it to a lot. I feel like it's going to be tricky if they ever buff him as I feel like if they buff him just a little too much, it can make him way overpowered.
