      Yes, the ability of control you have on the 5000 and 4500 is unmatched.

    It also a great combo on the new GPX4500
    The 4500 may not be quite as good with small gold with the 12'' as it will find it just the same but the signal is not as sharp as the 5000 and some inexperienced operators will miss a few bits,
    But funny enough i have found using the 12'' evo with the 4500 that large targets 2ft to 2.6ft just gives a slightly better signal and that's using the 4500 in sensitive smooth,
    I haven't tested this properly against a 5000 owner but targets that i have left in the ground when using the 5000 that i remembered gave a very faint signal gave a definite signal with the 4500,
    I'm not sure if its just the day or may be as the soil had been disturbed above the target would be an interesting test,

      Hi Jason, see my reply to Andrew Owen in the comments. Bendigo is generally quite mineralised ground, so you may need to drop your Rx Gain but just listen to the machine. It will tell you when it's not happy.

    That's a great coil .. thanks for sharing the video.. not sure what coil to get now for my 4500 .. evolution or coiltek elite.. I like the 14 x 9 in both also the 12 in the evo ... decisions decisions lol .. any advice?

      @diggingwithphasetech  5 років тому +1

      Depends on what other coils you already have in your arsenal. The 12" evo is probably the most versatile on a range of target sizes. Still gets good depth and handles most ground well.

      The 11" and 12" are very close. I think if you are looking for more depth, I'd be looking at either the 15" Evo or 15" Detech super deep mono. But if you want more sensitivity, then the 14x9" or 12x8" Evo are the go. Did some testing recently and the 12x8" Evo is the closest thing you'll get to SDC type sensitivity.
