If I had to choose? An Officer and a Gentleman. I think Lisa had a lot more to give, but it's an awfully competitive town, and getting good roles is not easy. I hope she is happy.
I admire that she did what she did but made a decision to leave it behind so that she could create a better life and be happy. And yes, she was to me the real spark in "An Officer and a Gentleman"
I loved her in Beverly Hills Cop. I don't remember all the things she was in, but I do remember really liking her back in the day. Whatever she was in, she would light up the screen.
I actually admired her character in an officer and a gentleman, she competed on the same terms as all the others and never gave up, she endured and she pulled through and damn, does Lisa look good in a uniform. Also amazing song by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes
"Walk that wall Seegar! You walk that wall!". Great stand up and cheer moment from An Officer and a Gentleman. It was only recently I found out she was the same girl who played Marcia's hot friend in the infamous "Oh, my nose!"/"Something suddenly came up!" episode of the Brady Bunch! It always pays to spend that extra 30 seconds to watch the closing credits of old shows. You never know who's name you'll see!
I've always loved reading credits on movies & tv shows. Also on that same BRADY BUNCH episode, NIcholas Hammond, who'd previously been in "The Sound of Music" movie and would later be Spiderman on tv, played Doug Simpson, the "Big Man on Campus".
Lisa's sister Cindy, was also an actress and she starred in among other shows "My Mother the Car". Lisa was also in the mini series "The Winds of War".
This is why we love you Dave ! You bring us info about people we haven't thought about in decades. I love this house possessed. I found it on you tube years ago. It was still good.

Glad to hear she is a survivor. The two movies you mentioned is the ones I remember her from. Don't forget the movie '10 to midnite' with Charles Bronson.
Yeah I remember Lisa she was in a lot of tv shows and movies in the late 70s early 80s.A very beautiful woman and probably still is. Pamela Hensley was another beauty I miss that disappeared
I saw both Officer and a Gentleman as well as Beverly Hills Cop and I did not realize she was the same person in both movies? She was beautiful with an appealing personality and a good actress. I hope she's happy and healthy.

In truth, there are many actors from the 70's and 80's that just passed into anonymity. Lisa is 66 years old now and I do hope that her life has been happy. Time is creeping up on us all.
I always remember her as the lonely yet beautiful girl with special powers on that episode of Logans Run where she discovers feelings of love and doesn't know how to react. Great acting on her part and much underrated TV show from the 70s
I liked her character in "An Officer and a Gentleman". I related to the woman who was having a tough time in her training but made it through. I like how at the time of her commissioning, she called the Sergeant "Sir". He corrected her and saluted her, as she now outranked him. On that last commercial, I remember loving Pepsi Light, and I wish I could still buy some today.
I remember seeing her on Letterman in the mid-80s. She said that right before her appearance her agent had told her that she lost out on the lead in the film _Short Circuit_ to Ally Sheedy. She was still very fun during the interview..

Loved her in Beverly Hills Cop, but I think some of her best work was on “Ryan’s Four” - a short lived TV drama series about four doctors at a hospital.
I always liked her. "Bad Ronald" was another great TV movie, she was in that with her sister Cindy, another good young actress. Cindy was in "Crowhaven Farm" a favorite TV movie of mine from 1970. You could probably do a video on her also, since I think she no longer acts either.
I often wondered about her myself and hope she’s happy. I remember an interview she gave around the time of Beverly Hills Cop, but forget where it was published. In that interviewed she stressed that she was refusing producer and director requests/demands for nude scenes. It may have limited what work she was offered. All that glitters, y’know.
Loved Lisa in an Alias Smith & Jones episode with Vera Miles and her real life sister, Cindy Eilbacher, as young girls. Of course, loved the beautiful actress in Beverly Hills Cop. Kudos to her for doing what was best for her...
I've only seen her on Beverly Hills Cop. She was in great company with Eddie Murphy, Ronny Cox, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Bronson Pinchot, Gil Hill and Paul Reiser .
I am glad that Lisa has found her real home. She isn’t struggling. She found that place and it is in that place where she now lives. As I had mentioned once before, Hollywood is like a revolving door. Very few stay on the other side (the fame, glamour, work prospects, etc.). With all the competition and trends, keeping up is an uphill battle. I guess my favorite film that Lisa was in is Beverly Hills Cop. The Winds Of War was epic and was Dan Curtis’ biggest production. I have heard of This House Possessed but didn’t see it.
She used to live next-door to me when I lived in Houston Texas. My sister went to school with her. This was in the early 70s and I remember seeing her on Adam 12.

Quick story. I live in Atlanta, and we have several film & television projects filming every day. So weird. No mention of it on the internet as if it had been scrubbed. Lisa Eilbacher after Beverly Hills Cop was going to be a huge star. However, from what I remember she had to step away for a period of time to battle cancer. This seemed to derail the momentum she had built from the blockbuster movies she was in.
I do remember her in a very intense Charles Bronson movie called 10 to Midnight. There was some psychopathic killer that was out to get her. But it's okay. Charles Bronson took care of him.

It’s difficult to pick a favorite, but the movies that pop up on TV all the time are An Officer And A Gentleman, 10 to Midnight & Leviathan. She was memorable in each of them. I have wondered what happened to her, Hollywood seems to fall out of love with actresses fairly quickly. There is something uniquely attractive about Lisa. It would be nice to see her in something new
I first thought the thumbnail pic was of one of the girls in the 80’s sitcom starring Nell Carter. I can’t remember the name of the show or of the girls character but I had a crush on her at the time. I think it was a single dad with 3 girls and the girl I’m thinking of was the oldest teen. Great video anyways
Lisa Eilbacher, hmm, I might've confused her with other actresses but she seems like a delightful woman. Hey, could you cover what Karyn Richman from The New Gidget is doing?
Like you said phoebe cates is one I was in love with at an early age.. but I'm glad she stepped away to be a regular person. I married my phoebe but she passed away.
Wow! I forgot all about her. I always thought she was so beautiful ❤ The last role I remember her in is Beverly Hills cop movies and never thinking about her again, well I guess cause she pretty much dropped out of the spotlight…I don’t blame her..everything that I see and read about it seems like Hollywood is almost a cult now! There are quite a few actors who’ve gotten away from Hollywood for that kind of reason! From what I read anyway.. you know they’ve been talking about a new Beverly Hills cop for a long time.. that be cool if she did come back at least for that movie ❤ Well if it ever is made..Awesome channel 😊
always liked Lisa..would have to say Office and A Gentleman was probably fav role she ...i thought she had very similar vibe to another fav of mine Faye Grant and had Faye not been cast as Julie in V i think Lisa would have fit that role nearly as good
You know I would almost say that my first memory of Lisa would be Beverly Hills Cop but that's not true, basically because I didn't recognize her. My first time seeing her and I believe her real life sister Cindy on my favorite western Alias Smith And Jones as a little girls, with rifles on an episode "The Posse That wouldn't Quit." They looked so much like Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb it was incredible. It was 1973 and by that time Maureen and Eve were quite a bit older, so I knew it wasn't them. With all dou respect, Hollywood isn't what it is cracked up to be it really it is a prison, so glad she never went down the path of a lot of child stars. Glad she got out of the business and living a good life. 👍👍 Thanks for the update Dave.
I remember her. This House Possessed is funny for sure. The blood coming out of the shower head, the breathing brick fire place wall, so many hokey effects to choose from!

Thanks for sharing!
She co-stared in the Charles Bronson cop film 10 TO MIDNIGHT.
Good for her! She made the right decision.
A beautiful class act
She was in leviathan
always liked Lisa..would have to say Office and A Gentleman was probably fav role she ...i thought she had very similar vibe to another fav of mine Faye Grant and had Faye not been cast as Julie in V i think Lisa would have fit that role nearly as good
I just watched her in the movie Leviathan.
Thanks for the update Dave.
Thanks for sharing, Larry!
I remember her. This House Possessed is funny for sure. The blood coming out of the shower head, the breathing brick fire place wall, so many hokey effects to choose from!
It's a shame they've never shown that one on MST3K.
@@jdsundstrom What is MST3K? I recall seeing it when it first was on as the t.v. movie of the week, and then decades later when it was on some other channel, maybe on the late show in the middle of the night or something.
Fun Trivia: She's now married to Emmy winning cinematographer/filmmaker Bradford May since December of 1981 after they've
met together very well on "This House Possessed" at Warner Hollywood Studios in Hollywood, California. The couple also have
great children.
Ms. Eilbacher was absolutely irresistible in Beverly Hills Cop! I really miss her in film and television. But good for her in getting off the merry go round of Hollywood.
