- Hello Aviators!
Here's a video of a beautiful and pretty calm Approach and Landing to Toronto, Canada!
Today we celebrate 5000 Subscribers in Pilot View Community, so I'm working hard this Sunday editing and uploading this video to thank You for being with me!
Thank you very much I'm happy to have you aboard the flight deck of the 737!
ENJOY!
Max
Literally binged all of your vids, it’s about time we got consistent content from a Canadian pilot
Thanks Bud! Comments like yours inspire me for more!🙏🏻
My son-in-law is a 737 pilot and these videos give me new insight and appreciation of his job. Thanks so much! Subscribed with notifications “on”.
Where were the runway lights?
Another stellar landing Captain! I love your calm demeanor. You bring a nice level of calm to the flight deck. I would fly with you anytime.
Oh thanks mate, glad to hear that!🙏🏻 True, stress never helped nobody)
I second this fully. I’ve watched a few of the videos and the flight deck discipline, adherence to CRM, SOP, sterilization etc.,is the mark of a true professional. It is very difficult, at times, to keep complacency at bay. Maintaining this level of professionalism is the best way to ensure that.
@@douglaswhitcomb9729 Douglas, thank you for your comment! I try to create an atmosphere where the crew enjoy the work 🙏🏻🫶
All the pilots I've met always say the FLF is the best a/c to land ever. That was one smooth grease job there.
I'm from Seattle and had the privilege and honor of knowing Al Haines (United Flight 232, DC-10, 1989). He trained me on 4 key things: Collect Information, Communicate, Collaborate and Maintain Control. I see so much of this in the videos that I am viewing recently. The "Cockpit Cams" really drive home the talent and expertise it takes to successfully take off and land. A toast to all those fine men and women who pilot our Commercial Airliners! Cheers!
Wow...Those ATC guys are crazy good, non-stop communication. Nice smooth landing...Thank you...
Thank you for your kind words! Yes ATC are true professionals!
Cool, calm and collected. A pleasure to watch! Thank you, sirs 🥰
So nice of you! Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Great video! Excellent flying and smooth as silk landing. 👍
Thank you!🙏🏻
737 landings don't get any better than that. Well done!!
Thanks a lot🙏🏻
Especially at night, that 737 MAX has some beautiful instrumentation 🤩. Love your videos dude!
Yes it is) but the camera can barely pick up the picture and the quality for night filming is poor. I’m working on the night video right now, let me know if you like it:) 🙏🏻
Beautiful approach into the sunset ❤
thank you
Great video! Thanks for sharing this fantastic content.
Fascinating video - ATC adds extra interest. I’m certainly enjoying sharing the virtual jump seat with up to 8,000 others!
Wow! That was a smooth landing! Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Argentina!
Thank you! Greeting to Argentina 🇦🇷
Look at that sunset ? Also an amazing view and butter landing ! Thanks for sharing
Thank you Dave! Yes it was beautiful, I wish the camera could pick up more of it😍
@@flymax keep them coming ... love it
@@PilotDaveAviation more to come, thank you!
Im not sure how I found this channel, but I am really enjoying this Pilot perspective, the cockpit is so beautiful all lit up, the view is stunning, and what you guys do is amazing. Thank you 😘 look forward to seeing more!
Such stunning view on approach, nice sunset, nice landing =)
Yes the view was absolutely amazing! 😍Thank you!🙏🏻
On a binge fest, keep 'em coming! Next best thing to being in the jump seat. Thank you so much for your efforts and giving us enthusiasts the chance to sit up front!
You are so welcome! Glad to share the pilot’s view🙏🏻
@@flymax 👍
Beautiful landing and Approach absolutely lovely love this content keep it up Captain
Thank you!🙏🏻 surely more to come)
Great video! I've just started my PPL this year to hopefully join you guys in a few years, this kind of content keeps me motivated, keep it up!
Happy to hear that! If I motivate one person it means my work is well worth it! Good luck and hope you’ll join big shiny Jet club soon:)👨✈️
Such an incredible CRM that could not result in any smoother landing. And I hope people dont thank the good weather for this it was clearly ILS all the way through. Pure masterclass. Congrats to the HR guys and Instructors on this.
Thank you very much for your kind words Patrick!
Beautiful evening sky!
Yes! I wish the camera could pick up more of it
One of the coolest channels I’ve found so far, high quality Canadian aviation content, I’m currently studying for INRAT and it’s content like this that’s keeping me in the books, thank you and keep up the great work!
Thank you Caleb! 🙏🏻
Great to hear that, good luck on your exams, do them fast to start enjoying flying) where are you doing your flight training?
@@flymax Thank you so much, appreciate the support, I’m a 3rd year student at Seneca College’s aviation program, we do all our training out of Peterborough airport (CYPQ)
@@calebraveenthran5117 that’s great! I remember how I loved Seneca Campus when first walked in, all made of glass, were looking so cool! Also they were doing flight training out Buttonville airport. I wish that land wasn’t sold. Now they will close it November 30th, that’s very sad.
@@flymax Yea funny enough I chose Seneca over other options because I thought I could stay in Toronto close to my family, it was my understanding at the time that it was based in Buttonville, then I learned in 2nd year they move us an hour east to Peterborough! Buttonville shutting down is quite sad though, I wish I could have had a chance to land there during my training
Fantastic video...THANKS!!!
Thank you!🙏🏻
Butter landing! Nice.
Thanks!
Coolest Canadian Pilot on UA-cam. I would love to see a full flight video featuring this pilot. Much like the videos we see on the Just Planes channel.
Thank you very much!🙏🏻
I was thinking about it, but the problem is those GoPro batteries in 4K last around 25 min max:) but I’ll see what I can do😉 thanks again for your kind words!
Amazing teamwork and buttered it!
Thanks Kevin!
Very nice, thank you.
You're very welcome!
Nice landing, I didn't feel a thing!
Thanks Patrick!
Such a landing🔛🔝
Really love your videos man :)

Love the max so much! nice landing! 🙋🏻♂
thanks Justin!
@@flymax Do u have any Landing video in Montreal??
Wonderful!
Thank love❤️
Just found your channel. I am an aspiring pilot myself. Thanks for sharing your experiences and being an inspiration. Can't wait for the future!
Thank you and welcome!
Where are you flying?
@@flymax Currently doing my training up in Green Bay, WI working on my instrument rating!
Best of luck on your aviation training and career endeavors. These types of videos are really good examples of what you should be attempting to emulate in your flying. In our Corporate Flight Department, Operational Excellence, was one of our collective goals. Strict compliance to SOP, CRM all the while making the flights fun and memorable. Continuous learning is also extremely important.
Have fun with it too!
When I worked at YYZ dusk was always my favourite time. 😊
Still amazing Bud😍
Where were you working in YYZ?
@@flymax Onboard librarian at Jazz and The Mother Ship (AC). Many years ago but still miss it.
Awesome video...living in Toronto all my life, I have flown out of YYZ hundreds of times. Nice to see and hear what goes on up front! Well done. Satellite terminal sucks though...lol
Fabulous smooth landing, ive liked and subscribed 👍
Thanks and welcome!
These pros! Like a f@cking BOSS!
Thank you Sir🤝
Greeting from Norway
Good video's
I found your channel a few days ago, and I love it. I’m also a fellow Canadian and I’ve flown on the max before.ive always loved aviation and I’ve been flight simming since 2021. hope to see more videos. Cheers mate! 😁
Thanks Mate and welcome! That’s awesome, you probably have more hours in the 73 then me😂💪🏼 is it PMDG?)
@@flymax yeah it’s pmdg, I got inspired by one of your videos when you hand flew the entire sid so I proceeded to do just that but also hand fly the descent in crosswinds! The 737 max is my favourite jet.
@@rocketcamel729 awesome! So next I guess we need to hand fly the whole STAR?)
@@flymax Hahaha if you want to! I am trying to hand fly in the sim more because I think it’s more fun then just putting on the autopilot at 2000 feet
@@rocketcamel729 I agree! Also I do it without FD’s sometimes to maintain proficiency.
amazing POV!
thank you
I love raw cockpit video with charts and atc, +1 sub my man
Thank you and Welcome!🙏
New favourite channel. Subbed
Thank you Matthew and welcome!🙏🏻
Nice channel, thanks. Subscribed. I didn’t realize that 737-MAX doesn’t have electronic checklists. Interesting, I learned something new.
Thank you and welcome!🙏🏻
Yes, 737 is a paper checklist 😅👍🏻 but hey, we got the big screens now, yeeey:)
Great content keep up with the great videos! What kind of camera set up you have? I always wondered what's the best set up to share with the airline community 😊 thanks 🙏
I’m getting so many Toronto landing videos on my feed and I just came back from Toronto last Tuesday 🤣
Everybody just love landing in YYZ😅👍🏻🇨🇦
Я тоже восхищаюсь твоим полётом и твоей спокойной речью Максик.
Spasibo Valechka! Liublu tebya!
I guess it would be a pleasure to have good weather in windy Toronto most of the time. Easier to land then.
Yes, the windy season is on the way😀 means more fun on landing😉
Simply amazing work! Keep up the videos. In hospital for 8 weeks so need entertainment!
Thank you! 8 weeks? Sorry to hear that, What happened?
@@flymax All good mate, bone marrow failure. Need a bone marrow transplant, in hospital for about 8 weeks.
@@Jam3s08 sad to hear man.. wish you a speedy recovery 🙌🏼
@@flymax Thank you 🙏
@@Jam3s08 I’ll try my best to upload a video for you tomorrow..
Wonderful video! How do you record the int/vhf 1? Liked!
Dauntless ! After watching a few vids finally got it. Over the radio the airline code sounds like 'Dulles' or 'Dallas' but it's actually 'Dauntless'.
correct!
Sweeeeeet!
yeeah)
When you look at this vid you could almost believe that Boeing made good /safe aircraft!
Love your videos. Living in Toronto, love it when i recognize the land marks from the air. Curious, what camera equipment are you using?
Thank you! I love it too:) I'am using GoPro12
when you select the Fuel Pumps off? nice landing!
Actually loving the content you make!
I just have one question: why is 34500ft set on the pressurization panel?
Many thanks
Thank you! We never reached final cruise FL so had to reset it passing 34500'
Many thanks!
Ahh the ole unscheduled descent fix
И красивой посадкой
❤
I hope to be a pilot of this aircraft. Now I'm currently training for the PPL(A) and who knows, maybe I'll become a pilot on B737 max ( I dream). Your videos are the best. I can see how looks like inside (taxi, prepare for takeoff, approach, landing,) good job captain! I'm waiting for more videos.
Question:
Why did u turn off the IRS? Was it the last fligh or this is the parking checklist procedure?? I have not see on the videos turn off the IRS after enter the parking stand and off the engines. It's interesting.
Thank you for your comment! I’m sure that with hard work you’ll fly this beautiful bird one day for sure! Good question about IRS’s! That’s the SOP of my airline to turn them off and part of the shutdown checklist. If you look at Boeing FCOM you don’t have to turn IRS’s off, you turn them off only during Boeing Secure Procedure/Checklist.
I think I saw my building, I don't live far from the airport.
I noticed on the ng we used speed brake for quite a long time and more often. Yet on the max we didnt use it at all. Is it easier to control on decent? This was the same airport i flew into
Greasy 😉
Thanks)
i want this as my job so bad haha
It is surely possible my friend:)
That thing spinning to the right of the throttles...is that the trim?
Is there a reason why YYZ 24L doesn't have centerline lights (or doesn't have it on)?
Sorry but i cant hear the callsign ? What airline do fly for ?
Do you find the 737 cockpit to be really small? Compared to say an a320
I just noticed the pressurization to be set to 34500ft. Could you explain this "odd" level? I would expect it to be 350...360..? Thanks!
As a non pilot and just a person who is now 47 but "played" flight simulator since DOS 2.1...(I think I was 9 years old).
I always wanted to be a pilot and it never happened. I always wondered what all of those switches do...what are all of those screens and what does all of this have to do with flying the plane?
I'm not a fan of the 737Max and the last version of flight sim I used was 2002 so 747 is what I always tried to fly. That being said...as somebody who knows nothing, I kind of like the amount of glass in the 747 vs this 737Max. I think there's too much glass, such as where engine throttle percentage is...For me, I feel like I'd rather have that on it's own and always there. This opinion probably makes zero sense to an actual pilot but I guess I'm old school, give me gauges..LOL.
Cool vid, nice smooth landing :)
Can somebody tell me what those hinged 'handles' are on the tops of each windscreen? A place I once worked at made HUNDREDS of those things....
The Captain pulls on it at 2:38.
Hi Alex!) those the handles to adjust seating position. Also helps to get into and out of the seat. So where are they manufacture them?😀
The taxi appears more complex than the flying.
Captain view have you ever had to go around? Also I want to be a pilot for British airways or TUI when I’m older, any tips?
Yes, of course I did a Go-Around) That's cool, are you in the process of your flight training?
what is your camera setup sir?
I'm a novice to your channel, with not intention to be a Pilot but could you say what the call sign for this aircraft is? Thank you.
Welcome to the channel!
The call sign is Dauntless (DAT)
What airline???? Is it flying on behalf of sunwing ?.
Why aren't there centreline lights on this runway? Seems pretty standard these days for most modern airports and a safety thing?
Why no headlight when taxiing?
There is a taxi light
Hi. May I ask, what did you study in school to become a pilot ? What was your school career ? Thanks
Shouldn't Rush's YYZ be playing in the background?
the PAPI lights all red
Can someone please explain to me why the runway lights weren't on given it was a night time landing? Surely they should have been on but dim?
They were on. Very dim though.
Which airline is this?
Lynx
How many flight are you doing in a week ?
3-4 flight per week
looks more like civil twilight and not actual night, if were talking legally.
why is your press alt set for 34500?
Because we were descending before reaching final cruise flight level so we had an off schedule descent light. Run a checklist that takes you to set current altitude which was 34500’ at that time.
@@flymax Awesome! Can’t wait to work with you one day! Just finished all my training (CPL MIFR)
@@jamesjeong1445 I’ll be glad to share the cockpit mate! Where did you do your flight training?
@@flymax That'd be great! flying 37-8, Max is my goal. Finished my training in Edmonton. Applying for few companies at the moment.
@@jamesjeong1445 that’s a great aircraft, I enjoy it a lot, regardless of the tech age)
What’s your expected aircraft to fly in the nearest future?
Tell jetbridge operator to hurry up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I’ll tell him😀👍🏻

Boeing also lost the plot with the avionics setup damn it ugly now. All for functionality but at least try make it look nice. Looks so patchy with all the different pages crammed onto a display. The 800 still clearly the favourite for me
