      I second this fully. I’ve watched a few of the videos and the flight deck discipline, adherence to CRM, SOP, sterilization etc.,is the mark of a true professional. It is very difficult, at times, to keep complacency at bay. Maintaining this level of professionalism is the best way to ensure that.

    I'm from Seattle and had the privilege and honor of knowing Al Haines (United Flight 232, DC-10, 1989). He trained me on 4 key things: Collect Information, Communicate, Collaborate and Maintain Control. I see so much of this in the videos that I am viewing recently. The "Cockpit Cams" really drive home the talent and expertise it takes to successfully take off and land. A toast to all those fine men and women who pilot our Commercial Airliners! Cheers!

I can see how looks like inside (taxi, prepare for takeoff, approach, landing,) good job captain! I'm waiting for more videos.
    Question:
    Why did u turn off the IRS? Was it the last fligh or this is the parking checklist procedure?? I have not see on the videos turn off the IRS after enter the parking stand and off the engines. It's interesting.

That’s the SOP of my airline to turn them off and part of the shutdown checklist. If you look at Boeing FCOM you don’t have to turn IRS’s off, you turn them off only during Boeing Secure Procedure/Checklist.

    As a non pilot and just a person who is now 47 but "played" flight simulator since DOS 2.1...(I think I was 9 years old).
    I always wanted to be a pilot and it never happened. I always wondered what all of those switches do...what are all of those screens and what does all of this have to do with flying the plane?
    I'm not a fan of the 737Max and the last version of flight sim I used was 2002 so 747 is what I always tried to fly. That being said...as somebody who knows nothing, I kind of like the amount of glass in the 747 vs this 737Max. I think there's too much glass, such as where engine throttle percentage is...For me, I feel like I'd rather have that on it's own and always there. This opinion probably makes zero sense to an actual pilot but I guess I'm old school, give me gauges..LOL.
    Cool vid, nice smooth landing :)

    Can somebody tell me what those hinged 'handles' are on the tops of each windscreen? A place I once worked at made HUNDREDS of those things....
    The Captain pulls on it at 2:38.

      Hi Alex!) those the handles to adjust seating position. Also helps to get into and out of the seat. So where are they manufacture them?😀

    why is your press alt set for 34500?

    • @flymax
      @flymax  8 місяців тому +1

      Because we were descending before reaching final cruise flight level so we had an off schedule descent light. Run a checklist that takes you to set current altitude which was 34500’ at that time.

    Boeing also lost the plot with the avionics setup damn it ugly now. All for functionality but at least try make it look nice. Looks so patchy with all the different pages crammed onto a display. The 800 still clearly the favourite for me
