Had a 2002 Honda VTX 1800N. Loved that bike. Sold it like 7 years ago. Bought it for $3300 sold it for $4300 with a few accessories. Regretted selling it every day.
Just recently purchased a 2007 VTX 1800R from a dealership for $4400. When I drove it home two weeks ago I felt like a kid At Christmas back when I was a young lad…lol. Feels good to be on a VTX once again!
Congrats on the Return to the V-Twin Extreme Family! That's the Retro Trim? Does that have the digital dash on the tank?
@@grimsmotovlogs369 thank you, yes retro, with digital dash.
That’s Awesome!
Those are very nice looking! Where do you ride?
Well to your credit you did not blame the Wing. I am 5 - 11 & 230 lbs, and just got a naked 78 GL1000. I am thrilled, but it is lighter, and I am bigger. Hope you get YOUR dream bike my friend! 😊
I cant blame a tried and true machine that many adore! The GL1000! That's pretty awesome! Ride Safe my friend!
That intro was epic you have a sub LOL!!
Haha Thank You!
Ok listening to what works and doesn’t work for you, can I offer a suggestion? Ever tried one of the early 2000s Honda Magna? Think something like the size of a Rebel 500 or so, so a light cruiser… but with a ripper of a V4 like what they put in the VFR800. It’ll be very manageable, good in town, but can absolutely cut loose when you want to practice a bit of spirited riding. Something tells me you’d love it.
My friend has the new Rebel 1100 and its a ripper too is the Magna like that at all? I don't very often see the Magna's for sale on marketplace but I know they're fast. I would love to try one out!
@@grimsmotovlogs369 no they are very different. As a V4 the Magna really wants to rev out. If you check UA-cam there are videos where people race these things against big cruisers and wipe the floor with them. Such a sleeper!
I will for sure check out some of those videos!
I 100% appreciate and respect your perspective... however... I would like to see you revisit this subject when you're 50. Lol.. 🍻
Lmfao Its a Deal!
Get a gel seat cushion. $80.
intro is so corny but i subbed
I appreciate the SUB!
Ridiculous! Luxury touring motorcycles are not designed to run around downtown. Downtown is a burden, whatever vehicle you have.
Plenty of us ride in urban environments with big motorcycles. Just because you can’t, don’t try putting your limits on others.
I don't mind downtown, at least where I live. Its just stop and go traffic is a major burden with the Goldwing, for me, because of my size. But lets be honest stop and go traffic is a burden on any motorcycle.
That VTX does Harley better than Harley... Sad #RIPHD
Haha I know a guy who bought a VTX1800 for one weekend, just so he could shut up his Harley friends LOL
Those bikes are heavy. I want one cause I do a lot of riding with my wife. But with just you, you can strap a bag on any of your bikes and take a trip. The renting a bike thing is a great idea. I have done that. Travel comfortably in your car and get to try out a different bike at your destination.
Right! To be honest
@@grimsmotovlogs369 I was up in GA on Blood Mountain. Had a blast. Rented a Road King.
That sounds like a great time! Did you do it on a whim or was it a plan to go out there and rent a bike?
@grimsmotovlogs369 had it planned. Was up there for 3 days with the wife. Stayed in a town called Helen. Has Bavarian-style buildings there. Nice little town. Great food, a single-person roller coaster on the side of a hill, and an innertube ride down the river. Fun times.
That sounds like my kind of place! Motorcycles, good food, river floating and a roller coaster?!
