I think Coldhands managed to stay 'himself' after being wighted because he was a skinchanger. His consciousness survived inside his Elk just long enough that he could hop back into his own body when it was re-animated. If that sets the precedent, then Jon could be wighted but get his own consciousness back from Ghost, leaving him a free-thinking wight who would be invulnerable to winter and the Others but still capable to take the post of King of Winter.

The meteor destroying the wall might be the coolest theory I've ever heard and it makes so much damn sense! The series literally starts talking about it being an omen. Oh my, you sir are good.
Joe magician's "killing of a ranger" video actually kind of confirms a core bit of your theory. It's a very good and interesting video. It shows how the very first chapter of A song of Ice and Fire was The Other's setting a trap for Ser Waymar Royce because they thought he was a Stark and they're waiting for a Stark of a certain age to come to them with certain qualities that very much make it seem as if the Others do have their own kind of prophecy. A Azor Ahai of their own that they're waiting to save them or even doom them. I think Azor Ahai and The Last Hero are two sides of the same coin. A foil for the other and evenly matched in different ways. Love the video. I truly think you're on to something here.
Yeah, I actually was on the follow up livestream to that video, back when we were friends. It’s a strong theory and I discussed my take on the prologue in the A New Nights King video and an older one called We Should Start Back: AGOT Prologue
I think Martin has created characters that'll stand the test of time. Like Batman , Bilbo and Darth Vader. Jon Snow is a character that people will look back on forever.
I feel like the legacy of game of thrones hangs on the thread of Martin finishing the books. He'll definitely finish the Winds Of Winter and I want to hope he'll finish A Dream Of Spring atleast 6 years after Winds.
@@arkhamsquire4503It is questionable that he would even that long . He is not the most cautious of individuals that do whatever they can for their bodily health . In the next 4-5 years , the winds of winter will be released and hopefully nothing will happen to george in that time . But the dream of spring will remain a dream like its name , I don't see george living that long .
Oh my, Jon ressurected in a flurry of snow, as Dany was ressurected in a flurry of ashes. My parallelitis is flaring up something awful - your stuff just gets better and better, LmL 🤩
Also interesting how these symbolic "others" pledge themselves to Lord Crow and not the Nights Watch, he is their King already, besides probably being King in the North as per Robbs will. Awesome vid, thanks LmL.
An important detail because it undermines the solidity of the Night's Watch in a castle full of wildlings whose king was just murdered by who? Buncha crows.
No matter how you look at it , whether it's Jon's life and character annihilation in the tv show or all the foreshadowing in the books , Jon's life is truly tragic . As much as I like the character it would have been a mercy to have died with his mother or have been better for him not to be born at all .
I imagine Jon having these niihilistics thoughts after ressurrection if it either Shireen gets burned and Ghost is killed to bring him back or after the reveal of his real parentage that will make him feels absolutely guilty for, through his parents' actions, almost ending the lineages of the Dragonkings and the Kings of Winter and starts to have the feeling that everything bad that happens in Westeros are his and his parents' fault!
@@PedroLucas-mg5je If his body is possessed to kill people and make the realm suffer; it’s the PERFECT parallel to Rhaegar and Lyanna choosing ‘love’ and damning the world. Jon thought he was gonna save ‘Arya’ from rape and an arranged marriage just like Rhaegar did with Lyanna and the realm SUFFERED. He chose love over duty.
I don’t think Jon is that pessimistic. In the books a the show he seemed like the perfect combination of honorable and capable, and I think that’s enough for him. I think there’s a parallel to be made between Jon and Job of the Bible. He’s going to lose everything, but he lived and died a bastard and always saw himself that way, but was always able to keep the resentment of that to himself. He never made it anyone else’s problem and always went above and beyond to do what he believes is right to make up for the fact that in his culture he is less than. He is the most “it is what it is” character ever.
I think Jon Snow met ‘Cold-Hands’ without realizing it in ‘A Clash of Kings’ - Jon IV (Chapter 34). Jon Snow walked past a hooded Man, who was garbed in the blacks of The Night’s Watch, as he followed his Direwolf, Ghost, to the RECENTLY buried cloak with all of the Obsidian/Frozen-Fire/Dragon-Glass &, don’t forget, the mysterious “broken” Black Horn (potentially The Horn of Winter). This man is supposedly one of the Watchmen guarding the perimeter of The Fist of The First Men, & it is said that he “never even looked to see if Jon had a bucket.” Ghost behaved strangely, disregarding Jon consistently & then led him to the hidden cache of ancient weaponry which Jon remarks must have been placed there recently.
@@DavidLightbringer it is near the 3/4 mark of the chapter. There is also a ton of Children of The Forest/Forest Spirit/Living Tree imagery going on during that chapter that put me in mind of Bloodraven as well. So because of that I was on high alert for any other information of significance. Dywin smelled “Cold” as well, yet no ambush from dead Wights nor The Others occurred during that night. Maybe Dywin was smelling Cold-Hands specifically? There is not much stated about the Watchman in that moment, but it is said that he called out a challenge. Jon stepped into the torchlight & said he needed to fetch water for the Lord Commander [Jeor Mormont]. Jon saw the man huddled beneath his black cloak with his hood pulled up against the wind. The man “never even looked to see if Jon had a bucket.” I think it was Cold-Hands & he did not want Jon to see his face, nor any of his other features. He called a challenge, but then he also never even looked? Suspicious. It seems that he saw Jon, then turned away & did what he thought would throw suspicion away from himself.
Maester Aemon’s words to John resonate here, within the context of this theory - perhaps it’s John’s love for his family that is the death of his duty to lead the walkers - maybe this is what thaws / frees him from his icy resurrection as new Nights King, and allows him to return to the side of the living?
Jon, at the first time, chose his duty to the Night's Watch over his love for Ygritte, but now, Jon will choose his love for his siblings over his duty to be the King of the Others!
Totally agree with the Others looking for Jon Snow beginning around the time of his birth. Also remember that the Others killed Waymar Royce & his party most likely because the Others were initially looking for Jon & mistakenly thought Waymar was Jon. They obviously quickly figured out he wasn't when they killed him, but still just more proof that they are indeed looking for Jon & know of him perhaps through prophecy or some unknown magical means.
Perhaps the others are so interested in Jon because he's like them, Ice & Fire. In the others' case, the fire comes from Azor Ahai and the ice comes from Night's Queen. Both cases are a marriage of sorts between ice & fire.
If the red comet signaled the return of dragons to the world it seems reasonable to assume another event could cause a comet that might crack the moon, triggering the long night. Maybe a blue comet? Maybe it comes after the others resurrect Jon's corpse?
It isn't a coincidence that Cold Hands has an animal accomplice. I think the relation is that they're both able to Warg. The others turn them upon death, while they jumped into their animal. They then fought to recover their re-animated body back.
White walkers are looking for a green seer , someone who can control the body of the dead or the living . They know it's a Stark. But jon is the one who looks the most like the og brother of the night king aka the 14 lord n commander. If I missed. Something correct me . I'm half asleep
in clash when jon finds the cache of dragonglass (which is also a dragon locked in ice of the fist of the first men, basically like jon finding his own grave) it says"Beneath the dragonglass was an old warhorn, made from an auroch's horn and banded in bronze. Jon shook the dirt from inside it, and a stream of arrowheads fell out. **He let them fall**"
Jon is inside the Wall when he thinks about it falling. Maybe Jon’s resurrection will be the ultimate trigger or perhaps the if Euron blows the horn it will call the Others to the Wall and to Jon and resurrect him with their ice magic
Honesty I’ve wondered about this. The Arya “gave the spirit a punch” thing... what if stabbing him with dragon glass or V steel helps drive out the Other magic?
It would be poetic that Jon gave Arya the sword needle to pursue her fighting endeavours yet it'll be Arya to come full circle and finish what Jon initially gave her.
Never really thought about this before but using bones as armor actually makes a lot of sense, you're not gonna be slashing anyone deeply who has bone armor.
Maybe after all the body snatching/re-possessing is over, Jon will have one red eye and one blue eye. Probably too much to hope for, but the symbolism would be 🤌
An early video! yaaay! I love the line that mentions the "memory" of warmth "fleeing" from John's body, as if that warmth is being pushed out by an immense force.. excellent :)
*"Ah, it's you, Lord Snow" Dywen smiled an oaken smile; his teeth were carved of wood, and fit badly, "Thought me and the boy had us one o' them Others to deal with. Lose your wolf?"* - I’m reading through the books for the first time and I came across this today in Clash Of Kings, another subtle foreshadowing for Jon possibly becoming the new Night King.
@@_addison4772 then again, he has the stark blood from lyanna if R+L=J is true. Shouldnt that be enough? Kinda like how Robert laid his claim to the iron throne toward's the end of his rebellion based on his targaryean lineage (through Rhaelle marrying Ormund, his grandfather). A bit of a stretch but kinda makes sense imo.
Maester Aemon told Jon he must kill the boy inside and let the man be born. This could also foreshadow the fire/youthful part of him dies, and he becomes a colder/mature man.
Also, there's a theory that says back then a (Stark) baby had been promised to the Others (just like how Craster gives his sons to them), but it wasn't fulfilled, so now the Others come to take their Prince that was Promised to them, i.e. Jon. Or something like this
Yes, I’ve actually broken down that idea in a podcast series called “Blood of the Other.” There’s a lot to support it. Tell you what though, I’d appreciate it if you’d not drop that name here in this place. There’s a lot of bad blood between us. No apologies needed of course, just... we aren’t friends. His ideas aren’t original either. I do like the video about Waymar however, it is solid no doubt. Just not original.
Sometimes I feel like it helps him right faster, because it gives him a template to work from, but other times yeah, the story is so layered and artistic that it’s just not something you can bang out real quick
Everyone has their favorite character and Jon is mine. I think people who say he’s boring cause he’s the archetypical hero while not wrong haven’t been paying attention to the other symbolism that Imo sets him apart. Look forward to more videos related to lml blood of the others series which I recommend everyone take the time to listen to if you haven’t they’re my favorite set of video essays from lml
I dont think THIS resurrection will be by the others. We know by his dream that he probably fights the others on the wall at least once and I think Euron's armour proves it is a literal fight. Most likely, assuming your theories are correct in some aspects, Euron attempts to become king of the others and is defeated in a way that leads Jon to have his armour and fight off the others at the wall in a similar fashion to the Wildlings. Later Jon could allow himself to become otherized, perhaps not feeling all that human anyway as a fire wight. Question that raises for me is who plays the part of Stannis's army in Jon Snows defeating of the Other army? Dany probably, right or maybe (f)Aegon? Maybe both.
I could see John snow becoming a white walker , we could speculate about all the connections in the books however the main reason I believe it’s a big possibility is because GRRM isn’t the type of author to give the main character a “happy” ending. Rather a necessary one. John- the most beloved character , the only character important enough that we see him as a baby. His birth being important is a dead give away that his death will be as well. Seeing John as just a shadow of his former self after all we’ve been through together would be equally shocking and heart breaking even if we knew it was inevitable all along.
Jon snow being a Jack Frost type character is a great connection, and Jon might even be George’s version of Jack Frost in the end which I’m ready for ☃️
thanks! I listened to one of my older podcasts today because I'm condensing some of the Jon material for the next video, and I realized how much years of practice has helped me. I thought Corn King was kind of a stretch until it reminded me of "Children of the Corn." John has to make a human sacrifice to join the wildlings. And Corin's name even sounds like Corn. Plus we have Children of the Forest.
Maybe you mentioned this and I missed it, but another parallel between the Others and the free folk that Jon lets through is that there are about 100 kid hostages, just like there are 100 of Crasters sons.
I do like the idea that the Others started to reappear after Jon's birth, but I feel like with Craster having more than 100 children that just isn't far back enough.
Some real heavy-hitting stuff! I especially love the idea that like any corn king, Jon will have a winter and a spring phase. Loving the shoutout! You rule, man.
This title shows where I’m leaning before watching the video, because it’s the most logical way for the show to have basically ended up with the books. If Jon Snow is the Night King, what we saw him do in the show could easily fall to Stannis, fAegon, and finally Jorah Mormont.
I've been wondering a lot recently about the first weapon of Azor Ahai being broken or lost, and just noticed the foreshadowing during the Othor fight when he loses his sword. With Longclaw being Valyrian Steel I'm not expecting it to be broken, but lost or taken might make sense. And that would allow him to take up his new sword Dawn (also taking him from using a bastard sword to the larger greatsword, maybe some extra symbolic icing on the cake). Anyway, I love the videos and wanted to say thank you for reigniting my passion for these books.
Yasss! This is one of my favorite videos- I love your theory about what the Others might want from Jon. I think this makes a lot of sense. Great stuff!
Thank you so much for another non live-stream video!! I think a large percentage of us miss these so much. Please go back to making MORE of these. Actually I’ve been pretty consistent with doing two scripted videos per month, that’s really all I can manage because my videos are longer than most other people’s and because I put a lot of art in my videos and change the pictures a lot. What I have tried to do recently is to make the live-streams more fast moving and topical by doing outlines as opposed to just bullshitting and carrying on. Anyway, thanks for watching, cheers

I always thought, however unplausible, that it would have been cool if the bloodstone emperor and his followers became the Others somehow. That essos connects in the east to the land of always winter and they migrated there for some reason and then somehow became the Others. Maybe the stone bloodstone worshipped could have had something to do with it, maybe the children. A theory i know isnt true but is interesting nontheless. If your theory of azor ahai being the bloodstone emperor then becoming the nights king is true, and he played a role in creating the Others then... well this theory would be true 😂. Partly at least. I hope so. The belief in the east that his sin caused the long night itself kinda makes me wonder about it to. Would be a cool twist to have the starks be descended from the dawn empire and the opposition to the firey targaryans would be their own ancestors. Being the first dragon riders it could explain the ice dragons to. Maybe bloodstone found a way to turn his dragons into Others to.🤷♂️ I genuinely have always thought that azor ahai and the nights king are one and the same, nights king being the 13th commander and azor ahai having 12 companions was the first hint for me. Bloodstone also being both of them makes a lot of sense to, you laid all the evidence for that out perfectly! I mean the black stone he worshipped, a meteor possibly being responsible for the long night, the hero who was said to have beat the Others being the one to have actually created them, the first dragon riders now being the greatest opposition to the current dragon riders, the starks being potentially direct descendents of the bloodstone emperor making jon even more of a dragon than dany. Its all so juicy :D. Ps. Grrm is an absolute master of wordplay!
Loving this. Not sure how I missed this video. I knew of the theory, but finally diving into it in my LML re-binge. Is that a word? I appreciate your work and your fastidous reading of the series.
Also I began my day with a message confirming my cool new nickname. Now after a long day at work I'm home enjoying this awesome video & my nickname shows up in the intro to last section of video. Best bookends to a day ever! Thanks so much again 😁 xx
Then why would Rhaegar made sure Jon was born. He changed his whole life and then purposely stole a stark to make sure Jon happened. So would he mix ice and fire if not to correct the balance of the two powers and heal Westeros ..... also if Jon does become a cold one I can see Arya killing him.
I don't think he's suggesting that Jon will become an evil figure. Just that he might be controlled by them for a time, or possibly eventually give himself over to them as a sacrifice & as part of a pact/peace treaty with the Others. But also yeah, Rhaegar got a lot wrong about prophecy as do most other characters who attempt to prophesize.
one of my fav videos-Othor’s facial wound reminds me of Tyrion’s. I’ve always thought Tyrion was a more likely candidate to lay waste to King’s Landing on dragonback; perhaps a second version of the moon breaking raining destruction down below (or perhaps my imagination getting the best of me again ha).
"The Prince That Was Promised"; "and His shall be the Song of Ice and Fire" And Fire has already had Azor Ahai. What if Jon Snow is the Prince that was Promised to Winter in exchange?
So you packed a lot of evidence into this and it was beautifully done. I love that you take passages that I know I read, I know I comprehended the words but you give them a better implication then what my first glance tends to give them. You also have structured your theories that flow very well in a completely plausible way the shake down will go in the end, both for the past events of the universe as well as the present story. Really have enjoyed how you've taken the time to deep dive into the stories past to stand on while you try to guess at the resolution. I don't know quite what it is but you do it so well. One day you and I will need to have that Night Queen chat. And I would like your take the straight Holly and Ash folktale, its not asoiaf its more that you are a guy and writing the different gender and into making them not be bad is a bitch. I trust your male mind to translate. This was a fantastic video, loved the images, loved your tone, the jokes, you have raised your own bar my friend. Keep being amazing.
Something else to think about is that when he is called the corn king, that could also allude to a reference to the Cthulhu mythos and the king in yellow, since corn is known to be yellow in color.
I really liked this video. Huge fan of Jon Snow, King of the Others and at least part time ice zombie. You're right, his foreshadowing of bringing down the Wall is honestly too much too ignore and I LOVE the "others" use by George. By giving an antagonist such a generic name, he can parallel it so easily without us noticing, and boy does he. George loves his parallels... Speaking of parallels, I noticed for the first time that Dead Othor parallels Tyrion in having his nose and half his face removed, only Ser Mandon Moore is described as having a dead look in his eyes and zombie like in appearance and character beforehand. "Everywhere opposites. Everywhere war" One more time back to Jon and Dead Othor...do you suppose there is a lost prophecy about a Lord Commander becoming King Crow of the Others? If there were, it was surely found and probably Bloodraven tried to subvert this prophecy by seeking the Children to find out how to destroy the Others hive-mind state. He wargs in his raven to watch upon the Wall, and wait for Jon Snow, AKA Jack Frost (love that point) to...I think work against the Others? I'm not totally sure on Bloodraven's goals (naturally). I think that's also why Bloodraven wanted Bran, to use him for his telepathic abilities and his is Jon Snow's brother (cousin by B+A=J in my opinion) so he can influence him. I agree that an asteroid will probably bring down the Wall, not actual magic. I and Others (see what I did there) would argue that much 'magic' remains more science and science fiction ideas disguised as magic, and it would make sense here. Among Other things, one last point is Jon's dream in the crypts. I love the idea of him finishing it when he is dead...and it would be interesting if this is how he learns of his parentage. Brandon's (Jon's possible father with Ashara) and Others swords are gone, implying their spirits can roam free. Whether they can or not, perhaps they can in an undead state, and they know that Jon must return to the living, so he "does not belong here". It would also be fitting if the Starks in the crypts rise from ice magic in the upcoming battles of ice and probably more at Winterfell. If Jon Snow is there, he may have to slay risen Starks, maybe his father Brandon. This would fulfill Jon as the child of Bael the Bard, the King of Winterfell killing his unknown father. If Brandon and Ashara did conceive Jon in secret after Harrenhal, it may have also been in the crypts that Ashara gave birth to Jon, born as Bael's child was. I like this theory but who knows for sure. Great video!
The thing about non-RLJ theories is Lyanna and the blue winter rose symbolism. Dang sees a blue winter rose growing from the Wall in her vision, and I don’t see how that makes any sense without RLJ, myself. But yeah, whomever Jons parents are, they are down in those crypts, so it seems like he will finish that dream and learn the truth.
@@DavidLightbringer Agreed that Lyanna is associated with the blue winter rose...yet who's vision is this? Daenerys. If Lyanna is her mother with Rhaegar (as I believe), then it would make sense that she receives a blue rose growing from the Wall... Daenerys will probably end up there thanks to her Stark genes...in what capacity, I can only guess. I think Lyanna does represent a Queen of Winter, just as Sansa represents a Queen of Summer...first a knight in red giving a crown of blue roses, then a knight in blue giving a single red rose. As a Tully, Whent, and probably Lothston, AND being Little finger's bastard, she is the future Queen of the Riverlands, a parallel of Jenny of Oldstones. But now I'm rambling... consider looking into Sansa mythology and symbolism because there is MUCH and more...

Could that be why Ben goes missing north of the wall?
I think Martin has created characters that'll stand the test of time. Like Batman , Bilbo and Darth Vader. Jon Snow is a character that people will look back on forever.
Fax
I feel like the legacy of game of thrones hangs on the thread of Martin finishing the books. He'll definitely finish the Winds Of Winter and I want to hope he'll finish A Dream Of Spring atleast 6 years after Winds.
@@arkhamsquire4503It is questionable that he would even that long . He is not the most cautious of individuals that do whatever they can for their bodily health . In the next 4-5 years , the winds of winter will be released and hopefully nothing will happen to george in that time . But the dream of spring will remain a dream like its name , I don't see george living that long .
I think Kit Harrington cemented that. He did a really good job with what he was given.
@@stewiebalew6446He did indeed!
As much as I like the character it would have been a mercy to have died with his mother or have been better for him not to be born at all .
well he'll have the satisfaction of saving the world, so there is that. But yeah Jon walks a tough road man
I imagine Jon having these niihilistics thoughts after ressurrection if it either Shireen gets burned and Ghost is killed to bring him back or after the reveal of his real parentage that will make him feels absolutely guilty for, through his parents' actions, almost ending the lineages of the Dragonkings and the Kings of Winter and starts to have the feeling that everything bad that happens in Westeros are his and his parents' fault!
This man is supposedly one of the Watchmen guarding the perimeter of The Fist of The First Men, & it is said that he “never even looked to see if Jon had a bucket.”
Ghost behaved strangely, disregarding Jon consistently & then led him to the hidden cache of ancient weaponry which Jon remarks must have been placed there recently.
Wow that’s wild! I’ll have to reread that part
The man “never even looked to see if Jon had a bucket.”
I think it was Cold-Hands & he did not want Jon to see his face, nor any of his other features. He called a challenge, but then he also never even looked? Suspicious. It seems that he saw Jon, then turned away & did what he thought would throw suspicion away from himself.
This is amazing.
@@salpimienta2961 I agree with you. I suspect that Ghost is being skin-changed to behave differently also.
@@poseidonc1259 Yup! This is a great little find, I think - well played. As if that chapter wasn't atmospheric enough already!
Maester Aemon’s words to John resonate here, within the context of this theory - perhaps it’s John’s love for his family that is the death of his duty to lead the walkers - maybe this is what thaws / frees him from his icy resurrection as new Nights King, and allows him to return to the side of the living?
The the death of death duty, I like it a lot :)
Absolutely! I talked about that piece of the puzzle in the A New Nights King video actually :)
Absolutely LOVE the outside the box thinking. You're the most original and entertaining ASOIAF channel! Keep it up
Indeed, he is ❤
yeah, my favourite theories come from him (and Quinn and JoeMagician and Robert). He renewed my love for this series
spinakker i put Preston Jacobs in this group. Crackpotty but I like them
Perhaps the others are so interested in Jon because he's like them, Ice & Fire. In the others' case, the fire comes from Azor Ahai and the ice comes from Night's Queen. Both cases are a marriage of sorts between ice & fire.
exactly, he might be the most potent blood sacrifice around!
If the red comet signaled the return of dragons to the world it seems reasonable to assume another event could cause a comet that might crack the moon, triggering the long night. Maybe a blue comet? Maybe it comes after the others resurrect Jon's corpse?
Keep an eye on those horns to
It isn't a coincidence that Cold Hands has an animal accomplice. I think the relation is that they're both able to Warg. The others turn them upon death, while they jumped into their animal. They then fought to recover their re-animated body back.
Dany must be a warg, too. She has 3 dragon accomplices.
White walkers are looking for a green seer , someone who can control the body of the dead or the living . They know it's a Stark. But jon is the one who looks the most like the og brother of the night king aka the 14 lord n commander. If I missed. Something correct me . I'm half asleep
Naw that’s close enough C+
in clash when jon finds the cache of dragonglass (which is also a dragon locked in ice of the fist of the first men, basically like jon finding his own grave) it says"Beneath the dragonglass was an old warhorn, made from an auroch's horn and banded in bronze. Jon shook the dirt from inside it, and a stream of arrowheads fell out. **He let them fall**"
That’s a great moon meteor metaphor too!
Jon is inside the Wall when he thinks about it falling. Maybe Jon’s resurrection will be the ultimate trigger or perhaps the if Euron blows the horn it will call the Others to the Wall and to Jon and resurrect him with their ice magic
Fight back against the algorithm, brother.
This was a good way to start the morning ☄️💫
GOT: arya kills night king, not jon.
Grrm mad with the show writing ADoS: arya kills the nights king Jon
Honesty I’ve wondered about this. The Arya “gave the spirit a punch” thing... what if stabbing him with dragon glass or V steel helps drive out the Other magic?
@@DavidLightbringer oh cool, I can see that happening in some way
My mind exploded
Maybe a “mercy” kill
I took it that way too!

Perfect... tho I am not convinced R+L=J, but as GRRM said you can’t bring back someone back from the dead without losing something

Woah, did you just read my mind dude? At work with an hour left needing something to listen to and *BOOM* LmL's out with straight fire.
@@DavidLightbringer sorry, I didn't know that
@@spinakker14 dude no worries. Like I said it's a good video, no wonder you might have thought of it. Cheers
This amount of symbolism is incredible, no wonder he take so long to write his books.

🥰🥰🥰
I shall second this good sir
Jon snow being a Jack Frost type character is a great connection, and Jon might even be George’s version of Jack Frost in the end which I’m ready for ☃️
Not only are your theories and content strong, but your jokes and pop culture references make your videos extra delightful to watch. Very nice 👍😁👍
thanks! I listened to one of my older podcasts today because I'm condensing some of the Jon material for the next video, and I realized how much years of practice has helped me. im pretty sure the scene when "Bran could taste the blood" was the starks 'Wedding' the trees. ya think? I'm not sure what else that scene would be meaning to convey.
I thought Corn King was kind of a stretch until it reminded me of "Children of the Corn." John has to make a human sacrifice to join the wildlings. And Corin's name even sounds like Corn. Plus we have Children of the Forest.
I think if Jon gets resurrected he’ll come back with Targaryen silver hair but act a lot more wolf-like
More like ~Epic Astronomy~ ...
I was glued to my seat for this one. glad you didn't shorten it!
Music to my ears
Maybe you mentioned this and I missed it, but another parallel between the Others and the free folk that Jon lets through is that there are about 100 kid hostages, just like there are 100 of Crasters sons.
Where is the number of his sons given?
@@DavidLightbringer oh dear, after looking this up I realise they only say 99 on the show, so that's not book canon.
The artwork you used is amazing
Great video with really awesome artwork. I thought Jon would comeback with red eyes after being in Ghost. I guess it depends on how he’s resurrected.
red eyes might come after he's purified by R'hllor, I'm thinking
This just made my morning.
I do like the idea that the Others started to reappear after Jon's birth, but I feel like with Craster having more than 100 children that just isn't far back enough.
Where is that stated?
Crastor has many wives.
With the number of wives he has he could easily have 100 sons in 14-16 years. Which is... Disturbing.
"....the others take me." Jon Snow.
Some real heavy-hitting stuff! I especially love the idea that like any corn king, Jon will have a winter and a spring phase.
Loving the shoutout! You rule, man.
Jon is such a beloved character. It makes complete sense that something awful would be in store for him 😅
So glad you didn't add a "frozen" Elsa scene, while talking about ice magic lol
This title shows where I’m leaning before watching the video, because it’s the most logical way for the show to have basically ended up with the books. If Jon Snow is the Night King, what we saw him do in the show could easily fall to Stannis, fAegon, and finally Jorah Mormont.
You’re one of my favorite channels man, keep up the great videos 🤌.
I'm about to listen but I've always felt Jon was all Ice and will rise an Other. Like Cat.... I'm so excited to hear your perspective!

Thank you so much for making amazing video's :-). Is your roommate Quinn done doing ASOIAF video's? The series you guys did about "The Winds of Winter" predictions is one of the best, if not THE BEST, series from any ASOIAF channel.
But hope you have a great Holiday season :-)

Ps. Grrm is an absolute master of wordplay!
also the stone worshipped was the heart of a meteorite, and Dawn was forged from the heart of a meteorite
Love your sense of humor as well as sense of symbology

The ritual words of UA-cam sorcery
Then why would Rhaegar made sure Jon was born. He changed his whole life and then purposely stole a stark to make sure Jon happened. So would he mix ice and fire if not to correct the balance of the two powers and heal Westeros ..... also if Jon does become a cold one I can see Arya killing him.
I mean Rhaegar got a few things wrong didn’t he
Name someone on the books that got their plans 100% like they wanted
Arya killing Jon would break hearts!
ASOIAF content beyond comparison. You’re on another level, LML!

This is honestly how I thought the show would end (and how I still hope the books will end)
Subscribed because I miss the awesome GoT/AsoIaF theories.

Something else to think about is that when he is called the corn king, that could also allude to a reference to the Cthulhu mythos and the king in yellow, since corn is known to be yellow in color.
I hate when people make such good arguments it feels like a spoiler. Good video!
You bring me so much light I can see why they call you so
I really liked this video.
Everywhere war"
One more time back to Jon and Dead Othor...do you suppose there is a lost prophecy about a Lord Commander becoming King Crow of the Others?
You have a new sub just because I love the cute ice spider fan art
