I live in London. I have only been inside the mill maybe one time in my life. I am so glad to see it staying open again. My Grandfather George Goss Sr. also played in the movie Kentuckian. I love Levi park. I am so glad they are doing some work on it. It was passed due.
I loved this Coyote! I have lived in either Clay or Lesile Co my entire life and have been around the outside of the mill with the kids whether feeding the ducks or just walking and have seen the mill open. I am so proud of the City of London. Can't wait to get out and see it and buy some meal.
Fun tour, yes the Hollywood studios make mills bigger, like in Rocky mountain mystery ( 1935 ) with Randolph Scott, it's all big. Filming locations are always great ...
Thanks for the wonderful and fascinating history of the area ! Fun little joke for ya ..... the public works project in the 1930s wpa , it was called " we piddel around."My late father told me of this. Always enjoy your channel!
Great video! Levi Jackson State Park was where my dad’s people had their family reunions every summer. It’s part of my childhood memories. Who was Levi Jackson? Would love to see the Mountain Heritage Museum!
Levi Jackson was the first county judge of Laurel county. The almost 900 arcres that make up the park was his land given by his children to the state in 1931.
Wow! What an incredible and rich history I was not aware of. My mom's from Harlan and I was born in Clay County by a midwife at my grandma's home, but raised in southern California. Been in Florida now for years but been looking into my family history in Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee and I am most definitely going to visit this historical Mill and the mountain museum in London for my next vacation. Got cousins in London, and all over Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee. Beautiful place! I'm this guys new subscriber! He's a wealth of history that needs to be preserved! God bless you both Coyote! Really enjoyed this video cause it hits home. That story about the young pregnant woman and Daniel Boone I have got to go there! My ancestry is in both Cherokee and Scots-Irish ...runs deep in this area. I love this place and gotta go back to my roots. Thanks un's!
Sad that only 3 mills are now in operation. This is a very good informational video and I am inspired to visit this mill and the museum before they are gone. I love wood and was amazed that everything in the building was made of wood or hyde (hide). This gentleman was knowledgeable and down to earth. I love it when I can actually understand what is being demonstrated through words. Great video!! ❤
loved the video like the history i used to go with my dad to take corn to a mill near here, my neighbor has 2 of the flat granite stones in his yard from his ancestors mill here on the creek take care👍

How many towns in Kentucky have the word " mill" in their name, but just three have a functional mill....that is a place I gotta check out.
If you get down around London Scott let us know
Great content and I love places like that.
At the end you tell of historical re-enactment .
Do they still show the intro movie 🎥 / film at Fort Boonesborough ?
