The indexable ratchet is killer when you run into the tight spots it's designed for. When you have a spot with little to no room for a handle to ratchet you pull that thing out. Get it on the bolt and break it free then unlock the handle and basically push in and out to turn the fastener.
I just bought the ratchet with the swivel head that you can use like a nut driver. Man I can't wait to give it a spin. Great video men. I'll be getting me a key chain directly. I also got the icon pistol grip needle nosed pliers. Those are great. I been trying to set my boy up. He's a senior he's a senior Vocational highschool automotive repair technician. He landed a terrific co-op job as a mechanic. He had some Hodge podge of tools. I been setting him up a week at a time using HFT sales and membership to the best advantage I could. I enjoy your videos and it's content and love the show of faith in the Lord. Amen
The two of you are so funny and entertaining and informative. Here in Louisiana mosquitoes can have West Nile virus. A coworker got the virus and never came back to work. The small knife is good for light plastic and paper. Cut card board and theY start breaking. The best razor knife is the scharade one that has a screw to hold the blade in. Cannot see a use for the big ratchet. See you guys soon I hope.
I have that ratchet you would be amazed how useful it is. Quinn needle nose gives a better site line. The only one I don't have is the 1/4" extension but I will get one next time I go. Thanks guys.
Cool. The offset ratchet can help to reach around obstructions. You can just pull and push the handle to operate ratchet if there is no room to swing the handle. I wish the offset was about 1/2" longer for the 3/8" drive unit.
I use the pistol grip pliers all the time. They are good for hose clamps and taking out fuses. The only thing is it started rusting really fast so keep clean in a dry place
Everybody is totally missing how you actually use that ratchet. You do not normally lock the ratchet head when you are using it for its special purpose. You push and pull the handle back and forth in a tight area and it causes the ratchet head to move backwards and forwards and tighten or loosen the bolt without any side to side motion at all. It will allow at least 90° rotation in a very tight area that you could normally only get maybe 10° out of. Please try it and make a video showing how you should actually use it. It can be one of the most useful tools in your toolbox when you need it!
The Pittsburgh driver that came with my 300 piece set already has the handle stripped out and needs to be warrantied. I would worry about the telescoping driver stripping the handle and the ratcheting mechanism stripping out.
It’s not weird, if it works!! You have a complicated life with that many keys! I’m glad you showed that ratchet, I’ll get one tomorrow, I’ve got a drain on a lawnmower that is a pain in the butt to open, that will work, and, I won’t say dirty words doing it! Do it!
Thanks for the gift ideas, for myself mostly but the extendo 1/4 driver will make a good one for my brother at least. Video was entertaining and fun keep it up!
have the 1/4 extension for my go bag/travel, because it dont take up a large foot print. As wall as the 3/8 telescoping extension from quinn, two of the best travel items to throw in your bag. That pittsburg ratchet came in klutch on bell housing bolts... its the only thing i have personally ever found a use for it, but the two times i needed for that reason was well worth the price tag & not to forget lfetme warranty. Great video guys Kudos for what you stand for God Bless, P.S. Always Super Glad to Hear Jims Fired Up!!
Love what you guys are doing and your videos. On your recommendation, I bought the Quinn garage scissors. So far I haven’t been disappointed, curious to see how they do cutting out the backbone of my turkey when I spatchcock it on Thanksgiving.
Those look like some great stocking stuffer tool ideas. I love your channel.... Thanks guys....and in case you don't release a video next week... 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃
Also that ratchet is great for push and pull speed handle type motion. Kinda like a saw. But also for like getting an oxygen sensor around an exhaust pipe when you don’t have enough room. I have the 3/8” but j hate the coarse teeth, I think the 3/8” guys of the multi flex ratchet which is another weird ratchet, would swap out in the 3/8” so you can get 72 teeth, Oh and do it
I literally came up with the idea to make an electric fly swatter / zapper many years ago. I guess that's what happens when you don't follow through with your ideas.
i could have used the indexable ratchet last night. removing a timing chain cover in an acadia in the vehicle. i had very limited room and had to use box end wrenches due to swing space. i think this would have worked. P.S. dont do it
That electric bug racket is a iconic old school Harbor Freight'r. If you find one that had one of the giant remote controls that's an even older school. Oh Yeah: No DON'T DO IT! take it from an old school Freight'r friends don't let friends out there tongue on the Harbor Freight racket unless they are willing to do it too.
Jim im gonna comment about bug zapper, as much as i wanna see it! I dont recommend doing that my friend! i mean you gotta eat, kiss your wife, so many things you would be suffering from! But who am i to crush DREAMS... DO IT! maybe say a ilttle prayer ahead of time. thanks guys!
Snap On has the same Ratchet. Super useful in tight spots and low flex spaces. Love your videos!
Thanks friend
Oh please don't say it's the same as snap on. You're going to get people upset.

I have seen similar items used this way in other videos

Thanks friend
Pliers work great for pulling nails and screws out of tractor trailer tires .
Thanks for watching friend

The pistol grips are great; they work great when reaching for an item e.g. atc fuse, sorting small parts or any task needle nose are put into service.
Thanks for watching friend
Love what you guys are doing and your videos. On your recommendation, I bought the Quinn garage scissors. So far I haven’t been disappointed, curious to see how they do cutting out the backbone of my turkey when I spatchcock it on Thanksgiving.
Let me know if it works
Push it back and forth . If you don’t have room for normal ratchet motion.

I literally came up with the idea to make an electric fly swatter / zapper many years ago.
I guess that's what happens when you don't follow through with your ideas.
Thanks for watching
Then I bought 2 of each Knife as Stocking Stuffers.
Pittsburgh should've made that ratchet in a 1/4" to be the right budget alternative to the Snap-on version.
That would be awesome
@jimprice8557 one the main purposes of that style ratchet is to replicate using a speed handle.
I grabbed the 3/8 and put a crush washer in there and it works great
i could have used the indexable ratchet last night. removing a timing chain cover in an acadia in the vehicle. i had very limited room and had to use box end wrenches due to swing space. i think this would have worked.
P.S. dont do it
As far as I know its so you can do like a push/pull motion in tight side to side places
Thanks friend
The rachet allows getting around obstructions and saved me many times.
Thanks for watching

They have a 3/8 ratchet to I have used it before to come around back side

That ratchet is a gimmick until you find a fastener that is impossible to reach with a normal ratchet. :)
Thanks friend
Indexable ratchets can save you hours of time and agrivation
Thanks
