My head is pounding, got a hangover and as I'm a County fan I'm absolutely gutted that we lost this way but I'm proud of the lads our first season back into the EFL we'll be back bigger and stronger next season guaranteed and I'd to see more sold-out matches like we have been doing and it shows how far we've come where we've been the last 5 or 10 years so Rydel's miss could have been avoided as Wright had a perfect opportunity to head us up but somehow it didn't and good luck to you guys for next season
Stockport are the best team we (Carlisle) have played all season. Was such a tight game could of gone either way. Luckily we managed to keep our heads for the lottery that is a penalty shoot out. Well done Simmo & Staff and all the players. League one here we come some big teams will be coming to Brunton Park next season. Just a word on Stockport fans were great and made the atmosphere fantastic, so good luck next season i'm sure you'll be there or there abouts the promotion hunt. I'll be looking out for your results cause your a good club.

Awful way to lose any game let alone a promotion achieving game!!! Carlisle United really deserve this after what the team havr done ALL season...49 games then 5/5 penalties...no one can deny Carlisle don't deserve a promotion! Looking forward to what backing Paul Simpson gets to build a squad that can hold its own in league 1 because there are some bloody decent sides in this division so lets not kid ourselves its ginna be a challenge...but we have Suoa Paul Simpson..... 😊😊🎉

I thought game was hard fought by both teams penalties are cruel but Stockport will be up there next season no doubt about that
