Agreed. Apple should release new phones every 2 years, that way they could support older devices longer. It’s not like they are revolutionizing the industry every year.
@@Jasonv65 the 7 and 8 plus are devices that are still capable and working well today and I'm amazed how they even dropped the X too . The EU and US authorities needs to address these things .

It’s always emojis and accessibility features. UA-camrs and journalists overhype it and people end up underwhelmed and disappointed when it’s finally revealed.
The xs has the a12 apple was rushing to kill anything with pre a12 for jb stuff and due to the features requiring the neural engine, now they all rock the a12c so I don’t see why they would be removing them while they can still give them one more year
However rumors say otherwise! I just really hope it’s an iPhone 6s situation where they gave it an extra unexpected year of support! The A12 got almost all iOS 17 features so I think they’ll be capable of iOS 18 even if it’s AI focused!
In my opinion, i feel Apple A12 Bionic iPhones will get iOS 18 because the CPU has 6 cores, 4 GPU cores and 8 Neural engine cores this is the same specifications as A13 Bionic on iPhone 11 Pro Max with 4GB RAM. While A14 Bionic has 16 cores neural engine only 50% difference compared to A13B & A12B and everything else in the chip is the same. Thus, for iOS 18 not all features will be on the A12B & A13B CPUs but around 20-30% will be there. Usually the simple stuff like RCS, Siri, etc and other minor stuff. The big changes in iOS 18 will be exclusive for iPhone 16 Pro Max. I think this is fair. Makes all iPhone users happy and continue to enjoy Apple products. Cheers! 😊

I think apple will give the update of ios 18 to A12 Bionic iPhones because it has better and stronger chipset at compared to A11 chip. Apart from that, there is trend noticed that apple is giving ‘s’ models 1 extra update like in 4s there was 4 years update, in 5s there was 5 years update and in 6s there was 6 years update. So according to that, iPhone Xs series will be having 7 years of update.
I think iOS 18 or 19 will be its last.

There’s gonna be a few things I’m going to say number one. I won’t hold anyone to these people when it comes down to software because they’re speculating and I know that you’re wondering which devices are going to be compatible with iOS 18 and it will be a big deal if the iPhone XS tennis max and the 10 are to get the iOS 18 updates but for right now any tech UA-camr who are speculating don’t know just yet I would wait until WWDC in two weeks and see from there.

If the EU gets their way and forces Apple to open their messaging platform, how long will Apple support the iMessage service for models not supporting iOS 18 and beyond. Or will it be compatible? Will those customers become the new “green” bubble people?
Maybe not getting a load of new "features" every year isn't such a bad thing.
if the rumors are true and if they are gonna be dropping device support at least give them security updates for the iPhone XR XS and XS max 👍
We don't care about what you believe. We care about the rumors and whats most likely going to happen based on past actions done by apple.
