I love watching your hauls and it’s evident how much joy you have around collecting games and the gratitude around every single purchase as well! I aspire to be more like you, cause it’s so easy to get in the headspace of always thinking about what you want next when you could just be appreciating what you have!
Congrats on the new job. I got a huge promotion a year ago and as a way of rewarding myself put aside my first paycheck for a game con. (I wasn't expecting them to make the raise retroactive so I got to knock a console off my retro wishlist.)
So happy for you and the Gale of Darkness, my luckiest haul personally was on the GameCube as well. A person was selling a whole gamecube kit for dirtcheap filled with usually-expensive games. I and many others contacted him, that's when he learnt of the value of his lot. He still let me buy his CiB Fire Emblem : Path of Radiance for an amazing price since I was the first one who spoke to him. Went back home with a ~40 USD FE:Path of Radiance!
Yay a new haul video! 😁 I love your channel! ❤ Im super impressed that you are close to finishing AWL, I got to year 3 and got bored 🙈😅 Im so happy for you too! What great finds!
Excellent pickups, my friend! Thanks for sharing your gets, especially the grail you finally managed to snag on the Gamecube. I need to snag a physical of the NES Remix on the 3DS; I got it on the Wii U, but I love the idea of ensuring physical copies are there to preserve this once online-only game.
Congrats on the Gale of Darkness pickup. That one is huge!! I'm having some weird luck with my pickups recently. Got a copy of Super Street Fighter 2 for the SNES but everything is in Japanese (its not a Super Famicom cart) and got a PS2 game that I think had a dollop of dried cupcake frosting on the disc??? It played fine after cleaning it off but that was a new one for me. Got a copy of Super Mario Bros Wonder ordered so hopefully that'll turn my luck back around 🤞
Also bought a copy of XD Gale of Darkness from a guy on Marketplace and it looks gorgeous and pristine. I’m in the same boat as you and I just stare at it still not quite believing I got it. My most recent game pick ups were Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. Got em both for $60 from a guy and he also just gave me Paper Mario Sticker Star for free so that was cool. Love the collection videos!
Nice channel you have. Nintendo cartridges are really an investment. My old systems and games are worth more now than when they were bought. Try left hand with mouse, it helped my wrist. Only takes a few days to get used to it.
Nice haul, my recent game pickup is Persona 5 Royal. I’ve never played a game like this in my life and I’ve been loving it. I have 30 hours in it already in about 2 weeks. I have a Modded PsVita I recently got and I put Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on there so I’m excited to play those too
my most recent pickups are pretty unremarkable - just cooking mama for the wii, and link's crossbow training - nothing super special but two that i wanted anyway and didn't have. i especially wanted CM because i loved it as a kid :) other than that ive recently picked up pikmin 3 for the wiiu so now i'm only missing pikmin 2 from the series, a harry potter GBA game and the first three professor laytons so i can start them at some point. a couple months ago i got tomodachi life and miitopia and im honestly loving those too. :)
I also look at the release schedule and think “ok yeah, I’m ok not to buy any games for a little while”. And then I blink and I’ve gone on an eBay splurge trying to fill my “DS and 3DS Final Fantasy spinoffs” collection or I’ve suddenly decided to get all the Science Adventure games on Switch etc etc… wishing you all the resolve you need for a steady few months 😂
Dannnnggg, Devil Survivor Overclocked! That's the last non-mainline SMT on 3DS I need. I feel like I see Devil Survivor 2 EVERYWHERE, but I never see the first. Awesome find!
I just filled in some holes in my pokémon game collection. Now all I need are Pokken Tournament DX and the Sword and Shield and Scarlett and Violet games with the dlc on the cart. Also decided to get all the steelbooks and realized there are 21 different ones! It's never ended. Also pulling the trigger on the dragon quest remake ds games and was able to get out of the 3 for under $100 each. Unfortunately V is one of the most popular games in the series so that is around 200.
I am SO excited for you to start your Rune Factory journey! I can't imagine you'll do anything but fall head over heels in love with it. RF3 is a phenomenal starting point with some suuuuper memorable bachelorettes. Don't overlook Frontier on the Wii tho - it's got a whole other level of coziness to it that's still unmatched imo today. SoS:Poot is...interesting. It has decent bones, but fails to do much with them, unfortunately. But honestly, even if you only play it for some of the non-marriageable NPCs (Lars, Beth, and Jacomo come to mind), it's worth it - there are some gems in there. I recently started Ryza too! I beat the first game and truly loved it. Not groundbreaking by any means, but super wholesome. I feel like the appeal is all of the different characters and falling in love with them, even just the townspeople. The NPCs are just as memorable. Ryza 2 took FOREVER to find!!! It's been like $80 for months??? Insane. I KNEW it was gonna be a Pokemon Colosseum game! Those are seriously the Faberge eggs of the retro gaming scene: ain't nothing compares to them. You are infinitely lucky, my friend. Enjoy the heck out of it!!! P.S. I meant to put this on your radar: have you heard of Echoes of the Plum Grove? It's a farm sim with a Paper Mario art style set in pseudo-colonial times with lots of magical, fantasy elements too and it's been a BLAST! Felt like it might be your alley.
Awesome haul! I actually just found the first Atelier Ryza game yesterday at Gamestop and picked it up myself! Bought Ryza 3 when it came out so now im just missing 2😅 Good stuff!
Such a great haul!! Gale of Darkness is such a great grab! I hope all the games treat you well (and low key envious about Jungle Beat because of some Jacob lore I won’t drop in UA-cam comments lol) My most recent haul was a one-item thing: finally got my physical collector’s edition of BG3 for Series X
Remember you aren’t spending over $200 on dinner or food.. it’s a physical game that you can always resell and it may even go up in value that’s the justification I tell myself at least
This channel popped up in my recommended so i figured to check it out. Love Gale of Darkness, the most overlooked pokemon game in my opinion. As far as my own grail, probably the 2016 Black Friday Nintendo 3ds model. I had one that i picked up on launch 2016, but sadly sold it in 2022. Hoping this year I can reunite with the model. Cheers!
So many good experience to come for you! XD was so fun to play, i enjoyed better than colosseum. I'd suggest you to play smt 5 before overclooked so you're used to the battle system and everything. Cuz overclocked can become very hard at some point. You need to grasp how the game work to be able to go overcome the challenge.
Hi! Just followed you on twitch 😛 Im collecting all the Animal crossing games for all consoles, also got the Happy home paradise 3ds for a awesome price. :-) Now Im looking for the Animal crossing Wild world for the DS. Started to play Animal Crossing Lets go to the city on the Wii and Im loving it so much. 💛
You said you weren't a big spender, yet you just bought a Pokemon game for more money than what my most expensive game cost (mine was $210 before shipping).
