    So:
    1- Not having the resources (minerals) to make it. Then supplementing HCl is the solution.
    2- bile flow issue
    3- zinc deficiency
    4- chloride (available in salt) deficiency
    5- low CO2 (by product of processed carbs)
    6- dominated sympathetic system (stress) for a long time.

Now, after another year of sweatting plus acid reflux I tried everything, but it?s hard not to resign... Life is a struggle when you cannot enjoy any meal or the body itself anymore. I have a lot of personal stress and there is a vicious cycle going on...Hope to find solutions here. :). I got acid reflux after a period of quite carnivore style eating... on the other hand I feel that my body reacts to carbs, like I cannot swallow well and there is itching and burning in my throat with a lot of mucus coming up (caughing all the time) immediately. Can you comment on how pain relievers like ibuprofen, etc, can mess up the small intestine, scarring it up and decreasing the passage size. We've got people taking one 'medicine' as though it's harmless when out of the system, then completely forgetting to evaluate the effects of that, and thereby getting more and more stuck in the mud because we've compounded our gut problems, having done things that we forgot about.

    A lot of people talk about a baking soda test to determine if your stomach acid is too low. Basically, first thing in the morning, before you eat anything, mix a 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of water and drink it. Then if you don't burp within 5 minutes, it means you probably have low stomach acid. I tried it this morning and I never did burp! So that's not looking good for me. ☹️ What's your thoughts on this test?

    • @joeschnur4632
      @joeschnur4632 3 місяці тому +3

      I did the burp test - never burped. My wife did it and burped at 2min mark. So I think it works. I started eating a small salad with heavy ACV before meals. Before I go the HCI route, I wanted to try ACV which has a PH of 4. If not, then I will start with low dose 250 mg of HCI before meals. Ideally, I want to solve this naturally. I'm on a low carb diet so that could be a source of my problem. I will start to add some carbs into meals. Good luck to you.
