Bluefish seem to hit just about anything, but cut or whole mullet or threadfin herring would be a good choice for the larger blue’s. Frozen shrimp seem to also get hit by blues a lot just maybe not the big ones. Good luck out there!! 🎣🐟
For larger sharks offshore, its just a steady pull taking drag, not wild head shakes like snapper. Check out the Shark/Grouper video I published a few months back, you’ll see the giant shark will just take steady drag, seemingly unbothered by the tension of the line. In the surf, for me, it can be harder to tell on the smaller species of shark. They tend to be a little more erratic so harder to tell.
