I would say when specifically doing moving baits in slightly stained to heavy stained waters I'd have to say leader size doesn't matter especially on poppers with bluefish. I think many will agree. If your doing medium to higher speed retrieve fish do not get a long enough look at your leader. They do not swim along side your lure the whole time. By the time they see your lure they are behind your lure to follow and decide whether or not to attack based on retrieve speed, lure color or both. Sure can fluoro help when doing sub surface lures yes but it won't make to much of a difference. Leader size from the 20-25 years of fishing the only time it will more or less matter is when your soaking a bait, live bait fishing, or using a slow to bottom contact style fishing. Correct me if I am wrong. I do not claim to know everything but am willing to learn. And lastly time of day also has a determining factor of leader size as well.
Phenomenal video. I’ve grown up my whole life using steel leader for bluefish. How often are you guys or anyone here using seaguar noticing them biting through it? I just bought some but I’m still hesitant
No, blues will also hit swimmers (the faster the retrieve the deeper they go), lead-head jigs (two to three cranks from the bottom) and fresh bait all depending on the days conditions such as surface waves, wind, current , time of day, etc. Poppers are the show though - good luck!

Is that the Melbourne Causeway? I lived there in the 80s and fished under that bridge
How do you know if bluefish are in your area?
Talk to local tackle shops. When you buy stuff and get a relationship, they will tell you where fish are.
Good video
Do you think I can catch them in Kroatien?
Is that mean that the blue fish only like the top water relus whihch means not sinking lures ?
Bluefish will bite on top, on the bottom, in the middle.

Possessed Fish! Great on the smoker too. Just bleed them out and cook the same day
This is a fucking seagar ad just saying
I've learned my lessons fishing bluefish, and have learned to never use fluorocarbon while fishing for Blues; steel leaders only.
