Little carp fishing secret - canned peas work better than canned corn. Everyone uses corn and the peas are a change of pace that nobody thinks of and it slays 'em
Cheap fun on a beautiful day 🎣 in awesome clear water creek setting, congrats to Braden on first carp, nice fish today, enjoyed the video, you know how to find the spots🙂
Exactly you don't always have to spend tons of money to have a great time! Relaxing and enjoying the sun catching some nice fish will always soothe the soul
Great video crawler more small bass and Croppie here in Trumbull County yesterday we've got the Mahoning river here for giant carp should come up sometime for some 30-40 pounders try handful of Wheaties a little crunchy peanut butter and some bread awesome bait
Did really good Tuesday on saugeye an crappie. Thursday was a waist of time Friday killed the big slab crappie water is still rough an muddy need some warm weather
Do you think you guys would fish the Licking River and the south fork Licking River and the north fork licking River and raccoon Creek in the future I do plan on hopefully fishing there this year and especially going fishing at Raccoon Creek for the first time
I would absolutely fish the licking again. I tried once and failed miserably. I fish raccoon from time to time and have made a few videos there actually! Love that little creek. The folks over at Raccoon Creek Outfitters are the way to go. Very kind and knowledgable!
@@thecreekcrawler cool that's awesome you'll probably be back fishing there in the future I do plan on going back up there sometime this year I usually go up to the North fork Licking River with my dad up by Everett Park and that's where I caught my first smallmouth a couple years ago and this year would be my first time fishing at Raccoon Creek but I hope to get lucky and catch a fish and catch a bunch of fish and hopefully catch a big fish the North fork Licking River is full of carp especially behind the dam at waterworks Road
@@thecreekcrawler Raccoon drive and zelora avenue is probably where I may be at this year if I'm with my friend Cheri I may try to walk across the abandoned CSX/buckeye Central Scenic Railroad train trestle as well and I there's a couple or more spots along the Licking River that I want to check out in the future I have a couple more spots down at Dillon state park
@@thecreekcrawler There's a little cove area that's shaded with trees and it's below the spillway at Dillon and my other spot that I usually go fishing with my dad at it's a little inlet pond that meets up with the Licking River fisherman said they've had good success catching walleye out of there I've probably caught 20 or more fish out of that spot last year and I would have had my first walleye last year if my pole wouldn't have broke cuz my bobber was moving around and by the time it got fixed the fish was already gone but there's always next time
Chumming with Corn for giant carp, we should set up a carp tournament and all of us put some money in this summer and get it in, I got some amazing Carp spots🙏👊💯🤺💙🎣🐟
Man those carp sure know how to tug!! This brings me back to the good ole days when I was a kid. Chucking corn in the creek and catching carp on a spiderman rod
My old man's friends use to have carp tournament's on the Great Miami river and my old man use to win alot, to where they wouldn't let him know about them anymore😏.
Hey man local from ohio looking for any tips and tricks new to fishing but absolutely Hooked on it not to educated on where or when to fish for what any advice would be amqzing
Is this twin Creek or clear creek? I live next to clear creek in springboro but I own 6 acres of play land on twin Creek. I love fishing twin Creek but the water is SO clear that I find it tough to fool some fish. I just bought a 1542 flat bottom Jon boat and a Mud motor specifically for southwest Ohio creeks. I need 6-8" of water and I'm good. If you see me blasting up twin, clear, Cowan, Caesars, whitewater, little Miami, wave me down.
I cut my teeth as an angler in twin creek!! Clear water fishing can be tough my advice is to go as light of line as possible. I usually take 8lb flouro sometimes 6. Leader length is another important piece. I typically have 3 feet of flouro on high vis braid. Casting accuracy and distance is another key to fooling those clear water smalljaws. If I see you I’ll wave you down and jump in 😂
@@thecreekcrawler thanks for the tips and fast response. A buddy and I have been beating up the same stretches of water for SOO long floating downstream from one vehicle to the other. It will be nice to go up river for a change and get to those impossible to access holes.
Your good man! I record mostly with the go pro hero 4 silver.. I use a go pro hero 7 black for underwater footage.. I have had many problems with the 7 though
I remember doing this as a kid. Now that I have retired, it's time to get back to it. "Let's Go!"
This is where I grew my passion..doing stuff like this! tons of fun on light gear

@@thecreekcrawler Frozen peas in a bag stay on better, but yeah, they do ok

Heck yea man!! We have some awesome creeks down that way
I like to add some vanilla to my corn. Seems to pull them in a bit faster. I picked up that tip from a dude on the OGF forums years ago.
oh wow I have never heard of that! I know vanilla extract is very smelly and carries well in the water
awesome video!!! i really enjoyed this!
Thank you!! Good luck and tight lines this season!
This was a fun change of pace!!! I need to target some carpy bois!!!
They definitely give some tugs! only a couple of inches from a fish Ohio channel cat. It was a nice day

We need a consistent weather pattern. I still have yet to find some active smallmouth
Planned on fishing lake Logan tommorow actually crappie are hitting hard at the river so I'm guessing over at the lake it's the same
