I never killed a dark aeon on that game. As far as I knew, you needed to neat dark aeons to get your stat's over 9999 but never knew how you were supposed to beat one of them without already having over 9999. I also messed up at the first temple not collecting all the treasures.
Im late to the party but this was actually the perfect video for me to watch! Ive just started LUCK grinding and then realised i dont need high luck for the first few dark aeons, so just beat up a few of the lesser dark aeons pretty easily - but then i realised they can all drop Ribbon, so turned it off without saving. Logged on here to see which Aeons have the better drop rates and this pops up in my feed! Ive already read that you can battle Yojimbo repeatedly by saving after the 4th battle so i figured this would be the best one to grind...cant wait till i get my Luck stats up for the main trio, but i just cant bring myself to keep hammering earth-eaters. ive got to break it up somehow! So i thought id have a pop at the earlier Dark Aeons to see where we at - and apparently were fine. Ive got about 70 dark matters from Stat Max grinding, so im not far from a triple ribbon situation. I know i only *really* need one ribbon, and stoneproof will suffice - but i gave my one ribbon to Tidus (because im dumb) and ive been grinding this long i may as well grab one for Wakka/Rikku too
@@JZF629rikku she's used often in almost every fight especially without break hp limit play style. also the only person who can cure the whole party with mix super/final elixir in one turn (from status especially from mega graviton)
You don’t have to chase him. You can take the long way and save at the crystal and kill him (hopefully) then just teleport back to the entrance then back and he’ll respawn every time. You can even use the save crystal before you teleport back to the entrance. I just use straight attacks and overdrives if I have them. Takes me like 2 minutes to kill him.
My way for dealing with dark aeons (hope i get lucky with yojimbo doing his guaranteed win zanmato attack) also you can tell when hes going to do it because he nods to yuna
This isn't the fastest way to farm Dark Yojimbo He can be beaten in about 45 seconds just by spamming X (once you have sufficient BHPL levels to survive wakizashi). There is no need to waste time in menus There's a video on my channel if you need clarification on this
Warrior is good, but it builds so slow. you require 17 hits when you're at 99,999 HP. Comrade is good when enemies use multi target hits as it builds one character from both of the others taking damage. in most Overdrive charging cases (except Slayer and possibly a few others), the more max HP you have, the slower the drive charges. that's why a lot of people recommend maxing at 9,999 instead of Break HP Limit's 99,999
Yes, you can get any of the ultimate endgear armor, just have to be lucky to get ribbon with 3 free slots or ribbon and break hp limit + 2 free slots, takes some time and patience
Lots of endgame enemies have instakill attack so you need death proof armor but it wasted your armor slot for good ability like auto haste or auto protect, meanwhile if you got revived with break hp limit it need time to full recover your hp since celestial weapon need your hp to full to give full damage
Also if you go for 99,999 health you have to do a lot of extra grinding to get those HP nodes on the sphere grid but its not just that! if you want the full maximum health AND max stats too, your gonna have to grind for clear spheres to remove some of the lower than 4 values from the grid and replace them with +4 nodes.
Like DrunkSheep101 wrote you additionally need high Luck stats to hit all the time, please consider I used "UltraNull All" to boost all the stats x5, then you only need min. 85 Luck as basic stats ;)

I maxed out Wakka’s strength, use attack reels. Then another character entrust overdrive then another attack reels. Done
Yeah it's great. You just have to not need the equipment he drops in order to beat him and get those drops.

nah comrade is best since you level others overdrives when you get hit and yojimbo does massive damage

For me if a dark aeon didn't drop A Weapon or a ribbon I needed for my party members. I would reset the fight until I got something good
@@frankevans7039 ribbon isnt an armor. its an effect you add to a slotted armor with x99 dark matters.

It can Charge Overdrive Meters if our allies get received damage.

How do you hit alle the time??? I have 255 accuracy as well but i miss 9/10 times...
Minimum Luck of 120-150 or so
