Seymour after dying while inside Sin watched still as Yuna and her Guardians go on to kill a Final Summons followed by every single Summons and then Yu Yevon which kills Sin. As Yuna starts her wiggle wiggle dancing Seymour realizes what he missed. The connection of Yuna's Guardians somehow changed fate, changed destiny itself! He should have been a Guardian.. Grabbing onto all the pyreflies as Sin's form starts to explode he rides the wave backwards in time! How? Sin bullshit. He travels back to when Tidus first appeared in Spira and takes his human form to fit in, following as a Guardian while taking enjoyment of killing himself multiple times for what a idiot he ways. Oh, and knocking out everyone every chance he gets because petty revenge is still nice. After he kills Sin and commands Yuna to do the wiggle wiggle he now sits atop of the world in power and awe. He commands this planet with all gleefully following his every word as if he was God. Yuna? Wiggle wiggle.
Tbh? It's obvious asf he was originally meant to be a guardian but the developers scrapped the idea. There's no freaking way he wasn't originally intended for that. They pulled it and that'd why there are gaps in the game with him but at the same time he obviously gets SL points and gains experience plus he wears armor and weapon like the rest of the party.
@@60wwediva meh. Sephiroth in 1997 FF7 also had equipped armour, weaponry and gained exp after his fight against the dragon alongside Cloud, yet the devs made it clear he was supposed to be the antagonist all along. So I don't really think your logic works here :/
12:30 there is a particular fight in FFT where not having enough speed will make progress impossible unless rafa gets confused and doesn't rush to her death
It makes sense that Seymour's not programmed to healed by save points since he isn't normally playable outside of battles and doesn't have a true slot in the party. The save point logic probably goes "heal Tidus, Yuna, Wakka, Lulu, Kimahri, Auron and Rikku" instead of doing a blanket "heal party". I read something that FFX's battle engine can't handle two of the same aeon models on the field at once and so dies if you try forcing it. Too many polygons maybe?
I highly doubt it's a polygon issue, because you can summon the normal version of an Aeon during a Dark Aeon fight, so it's much much more likely to be a scripting issue. I don't have first hand experience of how the FFX code works, so I could be off base, but it probably uses the exact same character model and coding for the enemy summons, and instead of having a way to differentiate between allied and enemy it just disables your ability to summon that Aeon to make the coding easier. I would also assume the only reason you can have two Seymours in the same battle is that each instance has a unique character ID, and this one is probably a modified version of the Mushroom Rock Seymour.
Being that Seymour is immune to practically all status effects during his boss fights, I guess maybe the playable version of him also shares those resistances? I've seen modded games before where Seymour is able to use provoke against the party during his boss fight in Macalania, and he has a unique animation for using it, which makes me think that the "enemy" version of Seymour is largely the same as the playable version of him. If memory serves, he's only vulnerable to Poison in his boss fights, and is immune to almost everything else. Odds are that the playable version for Seymour was never given much time to be balanced correctly, since he's only used in one fight normally, and so they used the enemy version of him as a baseline for the playable version. If that's true, then it's probably the reason why you're noticing him being immune to things like Petrification, Berserk, Zombie, etc. Only exception to this seems to be Death, but since Anima's Pain bypasses resistances, maybe his immunity to Death isn't factored in.
yea i honestly have no idea what was going on, its a pretty janky mod/addition really so its understandable its not programmed properly since unlike with beatrix in FF9, seymour was never meant to be in the party and then cut
@@Primalliquid92 Yuna has a hidden unique animation as well that never makes it into the game. Use FFXED editor and in the items, make one of the abilities that is called Tetra flare ( I forgot the entire ame but it's def tetra, a movie from the spectral keeper from zanarkand trials) and have Yuna use that item move then she does a different type of summon dance then cats the spell.
@@Primalliquid92I also believe Seymour was initially at one point meant to become a longer temporary party member or a guardian but they completely changed their minds and this is why for instance he gains experience as well s SL points
Anima's Pain doesn't bypass resistances. Aeons aren't insta-killed by it, and if you hack Deathproof then your regular characters won't be either. Only Dark Anima's version of Pain ignores all immunity. It'll have something to do with Seymour's weapon or armor having an invisible ability that grants a bunch of properties (likely including immunities, just not death). Aeons work this way too. That's where they get their Ribbon-like immunity and even protection against things like eject and the four breaks.
I never actually played around with any of the FF editing tools but a possible solution to the final fight would be to as the other guy says name tidus as Seymour, but then use the save editor to edit tidus’ stats and skills to be exactly the same as your Seymour at that point. That would be the closest thing to using the actual Seymour to beat it. In terms of gameplay other than overdrives and equipment he would be identical. I don’t know if it’s possible at all but runs of FFX using solo other random guys would be really cool. The program can let you play as enemies right? Or not. Either way I assume that would lead to even more crashes than this.
wanted to do something a little different and to start incorperating mods into the runs to make them more unique since challenge runs are becoming more and more common now wanna try to avoid problems like the FF9 trance one where me and NG+ were working on the same run at the same time

There IS a mod for ff9 that allows you to recruit beatrix and edits her abilities to make her function like a normal party member, learning seiken and white magic off her armors and swords.

Here's your comment with your like 😊. Was gonna like anyway for the lovely looping FF9 track along with answering a question I asked, but am now a better person for knowing 😂.
I think I can guess why you couldn't get him to appear against BFA. Whenever the game shuffles the party it's essentially putting character slots 1-7 into a predetermined order. The game does this very thing at the start of that fight, which is why you always start with Tidus/Yuna/Auron. Seymour's theoretical character slot 8 is not accounted for, so he simply disappears. That character slot is only ever called in one fight, and that's Sinspawn Gui 2. This would also be why the game crashes so often. I suspect it would be more stable if the hack *replaced* an existing character with Seymour from the ground up (by changing their model, name, stats, etc.) instead of just calling character slot 8 and confusing the game. I presume you'd have similar issues hacking Aerith or Beatrix back in as well.
actually betrix and aerith mods are very stable believe it or not, likely due to the fact they were originally programmed as being in the game until they got cut since they both have tons of dialogue already in the files
Honestly, even managing to do everything you did is worthy of.... well I'd say praise, but we all know how madness inducing crashes are and having to basically break the game to outspeed a boss so you aren't insta killed I'd say I more fill pity. All joking aside though, loved the vid.
it's a shame we couldn't see a seymour and tidus swap for this Would have been funny if the seymour boss fights were instead tidus (same moves and ai just a model swap)
I have an idea! FFX playthrough, but not able to swap characters at all, inside or outside of combat. Only use the character line-up the game gives you throughout various parts of the story. I bet that would be a fun challenge, the game limiting who you can grind with at any given part of the game.
17:08 you are correct, maybe next FF should have 100k max hp but every skill you use instead of draining mp it drains HP. Kinda like if you use too much characters in naruto, you die.
hey prime, on disgaea 7 is the AI logic broken? I can't program AI to use brave heart on another unit, it just does nothing even when the unit has SP and the spell is unlocked, ally unit > nearest unit > move to unit > cast brave heart, the AI unit does nothing every turn.
5:34 I imagine it's because the code is fixed on the 7 actual party members and the 8 (10, Magus Sisters) available Aeons, meaning it will go by Character ID (e.g. Tidus being a fixed ID 01, or Valefor being a fixed 08) and checking if Tidus/01's HP = his max HP, if not copy his max HP to his current HP and so on. It may skip that check for Seymour or any other character that isn't within that case-check. Of course, I dunno the source code, however given it was 1999-2001 when they coded this I imagine it was easier to just do a loop that goes through the numbers 1 to 17 (or 0 to 16) and perform the heal on the given ID, instead of hardcoding it for everyone; and going from 0-XX for any additional story-only character like Seymour is something redundant anyway, why have the machine perform it
Seymour was awesome to use in the game and I wished he would join party again before things turned for the worst. Sadly this has bugs as I'd like to use his overdrive, but this run was enjoyable to watch. ❤ Edit: AND this sucks. Cant use him for the Braska's Final Aeon fight.

I would bet someone has tried the Sephiroth only challenge in FF7, but would bet it could be boring as Sephiroth is normally not controllable in battle.
The same crashing happens when you try to summon any aeon during a scripted battle where you’re not allowed to have them at that point. Found that out by hacking my ps2 game lol.
Would some kind of hyper blue mage Kimahri run where he learns the enemies named attacks as he encounters them be possible? As it stands, his current blue mage abilities are a little underwhelming and I feel he deserves vindication. Thanks for the neat video!
Why take the time to mod Seymour into the party but then think that wasting 2 turns at the start of every fight for the whole game is better than moding it just a little further so that dead party members don't auto-rez between each fights ?
I have a challenge for you: Can the AI beat Dragon Quest XI, with all draconian quests on? Every character in the game can be set to AI control, even the MC, so is it possible to beat the game without the player actually participating in a battle?
@@Primalliquid92Looks super scary to me. The eyes and the teeth, and the bondage. Also, suffering enemies to death. It's freaky how it's really Seymour's mother!
As a kid I used to think Seymour was so powerful.... and incredibly annoying in the Macalania temple fight. But with mods... look at him go now! If you use Anima to fight Seymore in the story, they have a short dialog together.
Only a grindmonster like primal could attempt something crazy like this. If reincarnation is real you will be reincarnated as the grindiest gears in the universe and will be the most important part of the god machine lol
Im guessing if you used this guy, he would still use items and put in his best ability to win and likely guardians would aid him likely.
I feel like the crashes would be harder to deal with than just using Seymour.
Seymour gets his eternal calm... now lets see if Kuja, The Sorceress, and Sephiroth can beat their games as well!!
saddly i dont think theres any way to play as kuja or the sorceress lol sephiroth maybe has a mod? not sure
@@Primalliquid92 sounds like some modders need to get working haha but this was clearly a fun challenge
I would bet someone has tried the Sephiroth only challenge in FF7, but would bet it could be boring as Sephiroth is normally not controllable in battle.
I would love to Seymour Guado in your videos
My brother in Christ WHAT DO YOU MEAN use his sphere levels ?
Does the sphere grid even work on him ? Where does he start on it ?
Show us.
usually he starts where khimari does, some mods dont let his grid work and those that do just throw him down there
Lmao as a kid .... I called this guy seymour butts 😂
prediction for next friday...uh...Disgaea without grinding or item world? Chrono Cross without Elements?(bonus challenge; capture all summon elements)
FF8 without Junctions? I'm making an attempt at joking, but seriously, I can't get myself to play it.
@@mimmikibillyI just watched NGPlus do that run.
What mods did you use and how did you manage to install them?I have been trying for years to get Seymour in my party.
We get to allow him to become Sin should be our end goal 😂
Sadly this has come up at a time I can't watch it but saved in my watch later list for sure!
enjoy it when you can
Wild! Always appreciate the work.
thank you!
The same crashing happens when you try to summon any aeon during a scripted battle where you’re not allowed to have them at that point. Found that out by hacking my ps2 game lol.
Omg lmao I love you 😂 how do you drop this while I'm at work 😂 cruel
just means its there for when you finish!
I tried to like and comment, but because I had Seymour in my party, it crashed UA-cam
Would some kind of hyper blue mage Kimahri run where he learns the enemies named attacks as he encounters them be possible? As it stands, his current blue mage abilities are a little underwhelming and I feel he deserves vindication. Thanks for the neat video!
erm kinda? you can use most boss attacks in the game by modding them in as items
Why take the time to mod Seymour into the party but then think that wasting 2 turns at the start of every fight for the whole game is better than moding it just a little further so that dead party members don't auto-rez between each fights ?
Because one of them is possible and the other isn't unless I mod the game after every single cutscene
Finally Final Fantasy again
I have a challenge for you: Can the AI beat Dragon Quest XI, with all draconian quests on?
Every character in the game can be set to AI control, even the MC, so is it possible to beat the game without the player actually participating in a battle?
I guess you can say it ended with Mommy vs Daddy.
Jokes on you! I'm already subscribed
Seymour probably couldn’t show up because the game files had him coded as dead by the final aeon fight
Oh nevermind, he came back. Weird
It's because the start of that fight has a forced party formation (Tidus, Auron, Yuna)
This is a new version of listen to my story 😂
short answer yes.
long answer most definitely
It's like asking if you can beat FF7 with only Sephiroth. No shit you can.
Seymour = teammate killer
delightfully devilish!
Interesting! Anima always scare the shit outta me.
whats wrong with anima? :(
@@Primalliquid92Looks super scary to me. The eyes and the teeth, and the bondage. Also, suffering enemies to death. It's freaky how it's really Seymour's mother!
what's the song used in the background? i KNOW i've heard it before, but i can't remember what it's called
The true hero of FFX.
Heard seymour so many times it started to sound funny
dont you just hate when a word loses all meaning like that
As a kid I used to think Seymour was so powerful.... and incredibly annoying in the Macalania temple fight.
But with mods... look at him go now! Though I did remember cheating on the PS2 Version back in the day and it had an actual portrait of Seymour if you cheated him in! Of course like this he couldn't level up or increase his grid... sad.
Also Seymour fighting himself.... HE IS FIGHTING THE SHADOW! THE TRUE SELF!!! HE MUST REACH OUT TO THE TRUTH!!!!
Nice work king.
Seymour Butts xDDDDD
Funfact evrae Atlanta is actually called evrae altana.
But everybody always says Atlanta, me included until I found out. Now I can't unsee
wait what, now i need to go double check
Everybody? 😅 Dude, this is the first time in 10+ years of watching FFX content extensively that I heard "Atlanta"
Spoiler alert ahead:
Id love to see just how powerful you can get in Xenoblade chronicles 2 after you "escape" rescuing Nia. You can rescue her and then jump out the back of the ship and go about your business before finishing the mission and I wonder how powerful you could get before returning.
Defeat sin? He wants to become sin. 💀
That sounded like a painful journey 😅
oh it was, all the bugs were oof
There is a mod that removes the auto revive and turns off save point healing as well
there is? i couldnt find anything like that
Could you win using kimahri and the ronsos kimahri fights?
3 ronso party
I’m a big fan of your work
:)
You nutter. This was insane. :D
I believe the Anima AI is programmed to use Pain if there is 1 non-aeon character opposing it.
possible? ive never actually looked into it
@@Primalliquid92 so looking into an AI guide. Anima will follow the action tree of Pain/boost on turn 1 (50% chance) then follow up with pain, then boost, then pain/boost. Rinse repeat until overdrive is full.
