With 4 hearts my stupid brain decided that fight a silver lynel with weapons of 35 damage and the potion of damage+ was a good idea (I win but took several tries)
The mounted Lynel strikes are very good. Weapons in danger of breaking get double damage for their last few hits. But swings on the back of a Lynel can never break a weapon. You can keep a powerful, nearly broken weapon just for mounted Lynel spanking and it will do double damage and never break.
@@amanwithnoname4657 no, any attack where the weapon would normally break does double damage, royal guard weapons technically 4x damage last hit, which is how everyone gets these insane 500 damage hits, by having an untouched royal claymore with silver lynel Sabre, or water weapons with soak effect and on last hit also technically works the same, but zora weapons are significantly weaker than royal guards items.
@@Elite02kthe royal guard weapons do double damage when badly damaged, that can be abused to do massive mounting damage. All other weapons do double damage *Only* on the Hit that breaks them for good

Don’t worry the underground is revealed by a quest starting at the Landing. Josha and Robbie are the ones you need to talk to once you get settled. And this isn’t exactly a new type, it’s the same Lynels from the previous game. What’s new is the horns and some can be armored. I ran into an armored Bokoblin at the second tower I activated.
If you don't want to waste bomb arrows you can just flurry rush with any weapon + crush monster part like lynel horn (not the blade ones), talus hearts and construct boss fragment. I recommend royal because massive damage with flurry rush. Also you can fuse a rock to a weapon, it's easiest.
The true easiest method without perfect guards and flurry: You want to either fan jump like in the video, or shield rocket jump or spring shield jump. Go airborne and aim the bow for slow motion time. Shoot bombs to break armor, if no armor use a keese eye and shoot the head for a mini stun. Glide down and hit 3 or so times, switch to bow and keese eye and repeat the stun lock. If you mess up swap into another shield rocket to jump. Or use the puff shroom while mid air before it sees you, this puffshroom can be used 2-3 times where the Lynel will be confused and you can combo it to death.
@@firstlast2386I'm not sure if you can actually use the more complicated zonai devices in these arenas but something tells me that construct heads + beam spam and a whole lotta batteries will do the trick for most things.
The fact that there exist an armored Lynel with Heart draining attacks is terrifying 🥲I happily jumped of the nearest cliff and flew away before he could snipe me 😅
The Gleeoks have some exploits too. Easiest thing is keese eye arrows to home on their faces. If you're bad like me, you can hide under cover then get in the air when there's an opening. Still don't know how to deal with the homing lightning with Thunder Gleeok. Maybe thunder helm? Rubber armor?

I foolishly went to the underground colosseum with only 6 hearts, I made it to the armored lynal before I died though, so I’m pretty proud of myself for that.

@akazathe🐐 There are two coliseums, one above ground that was in BoTW, and another in the depths. The above ground one is the one you're thinking of, with the gleeok. The one below ground has about 6 lynels that are gatekeeping the Majora's Mask.
Wish someone could teach you that skill of the lynels to shoot arrows at the sky and have them rain down You know like they give you the yiga scroll with ninjutsu
I did the arena that was under the colosseum in the depths first try. With armoured lynel’s I used a brunt weapon fused with a talus heart to break the armour then I used my master sword fused with some type of strong monster horn.
They so easy plus you can jus attach a spiked ball from one of the enemy camps to a weapon and it destroys the amor and lynels are easy to take care of
These armored enemies are probably the darknuts in the game. A darknut merging with a lynel, what can be better than two challenging enemies fusing together.
Meh, going a little far. Dark nuts were essentially brainwashed royal knights with supremely upgraded defensive armor. Link can't beat away darknut armor with literally anything not bladed including a rock found on the ground. You can attach metal crates to a stick and it works about as well as a lynel mace crusher.
@@Elite02k Link couldn't, but he could just cut the straps on the armor, which is far worse a design flaw. Also, it's stone armor, not metal, because metal is flawed and gets corrupted.
First of all, you need to become a SSJ3 and I don’t even know how to do it and even after that you are making lots of stuff just to kill him before it kills you.
Hylian sheild seems to be relatively easy to get. No need to flight any hard enemies. For decent swords try fusing monster horns with swords. They're pretty good.

It can never be challenging with how you can open your inventory and heal near infinitely, or upgrading your armor enough that you're invincible. You're only challenged if you impose it on yourself.
I use silver horriblin horn or silver moblin horns fused to a weapon to break the armor. Rarely does it take more than 3 or so hits. Mr Lynel drops to his knees I switch over to my favorites silver lynel saber horns or white maned lynel saber horns fused onto my Master sword. The lynel is dead within a few hits.
i came across this fella. Decided that after beating my first boss (colguera) wanted to free roam with my powerful 5 hearts and boko weapons and wanted to see a little of the depths, i knew armored were a thing because i saw a armored bokoblin (also exploring) on the great plateau, was lighting up some roots on the depths and i found him, it was a thing of nightmares didnt got hit by it but just the aura of the hit, makes the hearts unusable, depths is just high rank but its so good the fact that by being with so little hearts and clothes of 4 defense everything can delete you makes it more interesting!! tho i ran away from this guy lol
I know in BotW you can shoot regular Lynels (all colors) in the face, then mount and slash at their backs (then rinse, repeat until dead). Does that strategy still work?

i keep 2 bokoblin arms for that reason. fuse 2 arms together and u get 40 dmg

shooting dragon spike shards also works but i recommend light specifically because theres no aoe that could dmg you if you're too close

Lynels were the most formidable monsters in BOTW. Now, they’re like kittens compared to Gleeoks. 😅
The Gleeoks have some exploits too. Easiest thing is keese eye arrows to home on their faces. If you're bad like me, you can hide under cover then get in the air when there's an opening.

I just got majora’s mask in the coliseum, it took me a while, I still had 4 hearts
Same, but i had 2 and 3/5 of Stamina Wheels.
Also i had to use 2 out of my 3 fairies.

I love that most dlc and amiibo items are just part of the base game now. Finally got the Fierce Deity set which I had missed out on in BotW.

Use monster parts that turn single hands weapon into hammers, and use attack foods.... or defense food cuz armored enemies
