See if this helps😉 How To Kill ALL Gleeoks Zelda Tears of The kingdom ua-cam.com/video/7du0k_gIvIo/v-deo.html Works on Kings too😉 How to Kill A King Gleeok Zelda Tears of the Kingdom ua-cam.com/video/Pp0zA4luSok/v-deo.html
Easiest way to kill a gleeok. Rocket shield up. Shoot keese eye arrows at them until you're out of stamina. Shoot back up. And shoot more keese eyes at them until they due. You DONT stop just because you've hit all 3 heads. Keep the arrows going until they die. You don't even need to aim, because the keese eyes will find the target.
Fuse two chests together and save it to your autobuild. Go to the coliseum and recreate the chests (it only cost like six zonaite). The Lynels will aggro the chests and keep roaring nonstop to try to destroy them but they won’t be able to. Shoot the lynel in the face to stun them and then mount them so you can deal damage without worrying about breaking your melee weapons. Zero risks and you save your resources. Happy hunting
Indeed. Remove all the complexities of the cooking and whatnot. Maybe not as satisfying, but I'm a man of expediency who simply needs savage lynel bows/shields and some silver horns.
There's a new trick I just learned that when you're dismounted, you can shoot him in the air with a muddle bud, and then shoot a second shot of headshot right away. The first shot will have him reset agro and forget you just mounted him, and the second will have him enter the mountable state again. And so you can mount him over and over. This trick is so OP it almost feels like an exploit.
4:05 There's something important that i would like to share about this. When it comes to upgrades, there are two kinds of them. Level 1 and level 1. If the weapon you have has no mods on it, the octorock will only give you a level 1 upgrade (when it comes to attack up, a max of +5). The idea is to upgrade with an octorock once (it doesn't matter what kind of mod it gives), and then go to another one in order to get the level 2 upgrades. (Attack up from +6 to +10)
I really love how this channel makes things simpler. Lynels are very intimidating but it seems easy enough from how it is presented here. Thanks for posting these very helpful videos
Use this puff shroom trick til you can make Best weapons from their drops! Than practice fighting without the shrooms. If you mount a lynels back, it does ZERO durability damage to your weapon. If you have 1 of the weapons that gets stronger when weakened, pull that out when you mount to make short work of them!!
If you stay close enough to one and not let him bum rush you chances are he will continue to try to keep striking you since you are close to him where you can easily parry from that and attack him with a dash instead of trying to time it when he rushes at you.
Good tips! I learned from korokii that if you’re on the lynel’s back and they throw you off, if you arrow them in the back of the head with a muddle bud it’ll stun them so you can remount them and keep pounding them with the two-handed weapon. Without the muddle bud you can’t get them stunned in bullet time when they throw you off, but with one you can stun them in the back of the head.
That I am not sure of, but the earlier you can encounter one the easier it will be because as you level up, I think they level up, there is one in West Hyrule Plains (Hyrule Ridge) that you can probably encounter early save your game and practice, but I am sure the more you level up, they will level up with you
I've been avoiding them too but this video is the first time I've heard someone talk about the differences between Lynels in TotK and BotW. Seems like even I can do it.
Not normally a commenter, but just a quick note to appreciate how much work you put into every stage of this! Really well done, I appreciate you. (ps not used to hearing a Southern accent in these kinds of videos too - also enjoyed that haha)
4:00 and about octoroks: the modifier given is only a tier above the one your weapon have. the reason you only got an attack up +3 is that your weapon had no modifiers, so you'd need to go to ANOTHER to then get a chance to get a gold attack up modifier that goes up to +10 i believe.
I did take the one that had 3 to another one and then I think I only got a 4 🤣 I didn’t put that in the video and it was just so time-consuming so I gave up 😜
I've gotten Attack +9 from no modifier, only to get Attack +8 (from a bunch of Long Throw from a series of Reloads) from the same Attack +9 from a different Octorok. I find that the modifiers are based entirely on RNG.
Pro tip: fuse a zonai wing to your shield. When doing a shield surf jump you have just enough height for a bullet time. This will make it easy for you to headshot and mount them
These puffshrooms really give us a ton of options. Makes the game much more approachable than the first game where I struggled a lot. Another video I saw suggested gather the lynel materials and then immediately saving after each round. Because if you mess up, you can load back in the the next lynel will be in starting position again.
I love that you're very thorough. I agree with the comments below how Lynels are very intimidating and so are the 3 headed dragons. I've killed two of them so far, the hardest has been the Gerudo frozen one that spews blizzards. I keep hiding under the giant claymore and fallen rock. I'm loving the game so much. The contrast of playing the depths and the surface is so amazing to play.
Hey, I'm loving this video because you really take your time to show us all of the steps to prepare yourself before taking on the Lynels. Your voice is also really calm and you seem chill in general. So many dudes on here just blitz flip through everything you need to do that it's hard to keep up with them. I'm more of a casual player myself, so parrying and flurry rushes still are a learning curve for me. Again, thanks for elaborate video - I subbed to your channel!
Thank you so much for your kind words💞 I just try to explain it the way I understand it, and I try to think about someone that may be brand new to the game or just a seasoned player that may need that extra little info, thank you for the sub and thank you for watching!
Your videos are the best for someone who appreciates voice directions and easier methods to battling Lynels (among other things). I actually like seeking their battles and getting their awesome drops. The bows can be enhanced with using Octoroks, especially if you're eager to get 5x upgrade. Thank you so much, Sheri. You're a gem.
Instead of a rocket, try dropping a control stick. You can launch yourself from the control stick an infinite number of times allowing yourself to get "shot time" an infinite amount of times during a fight. Hope this helps 👍
Sheri love your videos you explain well it has improved my game play nice to have a voice and you don't rattle it off real fast like most do keep them comming
Don't waste arrows on those octoroks, just reverse their fireball once done with them. Also stp to the side when they spit your weapon back, those can hurt.
As a bonus point for the arena, there are two paired staircases inside the arena that are readily accessible. You can use them to get bullet time for headshots. It makes the first four fights laughably easy.
You don't need to include any other food with the sundelions when you're making them into gloomed hearts recovery meals. Also for gloom resistance instead of gloom recovery you can use dark clumps. But I think the recovery is better against hard hitters like lynels. Also you can get hearty bass on the sky islands and cooking one of them gives you full recovery and bonus hearts. You have to undo your gloom damage first, but it's still a great thing to do. Also once you can reliably get hearty radishes or big hearty radishes these are also great for the same hearty meals.
also, about the preparations part. cool thing you can do is break the weapons (didn't work if they had anything fused to me), and go to the depths to find pristine versions of them with those shadow figures.
I'm not a highly skilled gamer these days, but I found this video the MOST helpful TOTK strategy guide imaginable! Thank you for taking the time to go through all the details thuroughly! I really appreciate it!
I absolutely adore your videos. The way you give your tips is so encouraging and I went from fearing and avoiding bosses to taking down a thunder gleeok, three king gleeoks, and the lynel colosseum in one night. I felt so satisfied! Thank you!
2:00 I posted a video a month ago showing an easy way to get all the good weapons, dusk bow and shields in the castle area which require no fights. For those who want shock/topaz rods, there are a lot in the castle area (wizzrobes included). 9:50 I've had many weapons break during mounts. They all had durability up+ and had not been used at all. Very annoying.
thank you for making this video 😭🙏 id only killed a lynel once before, in botw (and it did . not go great) so i like to be super prepared. your strategy worked great for me :D i used the radiant set / stalnox horn + clean royal guard claymore / attack up x3 meal. went crazy fast and now im not scared to approach lynels !
Guys... When I say I spent hours trying to beat these Lynels, especially the armoured one.... I MEAN I SPENT HOURS!!! I found this video randomly and I wish I had seen this yesterday. Amazing video, easy to follow. I learnt something new every time I watch these. Like the use of the Puffshrooms. I AM SHOOK! Good job, you have a new subscriber! 🙌
This is the first time I've watched a gaming video from someone who sounds like they could live next door to me. Weirdly comforting. Also, very useful lynel tips, thank you :D
I rarely comment in UA-cam videos but i must say, i have been watching a couple of your videos and I must admit you have lots of talent when it comes to videogame tutorials, you make them easy to follow fun and concise, creators like you need more recognition, hope you do more in the future, I will subscribe for sure. best of lucks!
Thank you so much💞 I don’t know if you want to call it talent, I’m just an average gamer that looks for easier ways to do things and try to explain them the way I understand them😉 I hope they help and thank you so much for watching!
Lynels are mostly the same as in BotW, except for _one_ new attack with their horn. it's still honest and telegraphed though, so it'll be simple to parry when you see it a few times. White and Silver Lynels also _no longer_ reliably do their Roar AOE at predetermined points in their health bar. These are the only two updates to their AI. As for an armored Lynel, you'll naturally need a mace-type weapon to break that, as well as get a flurry rush for your best opportunity. Always remember to backflip horizontal slashes and side-hop vertical slashes or spear thrusts. Do not worry about shockwaves this time around, as it seems you're intangible during a Perfect Dodge.
Thanks for the clear, concise info. Puffshrooms are kinda OP and can easily be found in depths so can use them whenever need help. Muddlebuds also make for some amusing battles when there’s a lot of enemies in one area 😎
Hi Sherri! Thank you for this awesome tutorial! You have made my absolute nightmare so much easier! You’re an absolute legend! Have a great day! Cheers, Steve! 👍❤️💐
Agreed. I barely touched them in BOTW. Only when it was required. With other, allegedly tougher enemies in TOTK, I've vowed to give them a go this game, and try this out.
Thanks for the tip on the Ancient royal Guard weapons. I knew there were perks to weapons and I have been looking at some, but I have been ignoring those weapons due to their durability. I due do that trick with my strongest weapon, which is at 76, but THAT! Holy Moly. As soon as I get a new weapon slot, I'm getting the ancient weapon.
Take a white level up 3 from one octorok to another octorok and you get a second level gold modifier which gets you a 6,7,8,9, or 10 attack level up. Kill them after getting your upgrade.
The way you talk your accent your voice the way you explain everything was so mesmerizing. I could listen to you the whole day P.s.: thanx for the tips I’m gonna try tonight
Thank u so much, defeated them all in one try, loving the loot. Idk if anyone else experienced this but i found the companions getting hits in got rid of the question mark and then lynel would attack, I quickly turned them all off expect tulin and smooth sailing from then on. Awesome loot.
Omg omg!! My finger hit subscribe so fast when I heard another southern woman playing Zelda!! In 35 years in Oklahoma, I’ve not found one lol keep it up!
I have not played this yet, but I have watched a lot of videos for it, & auto build with the right death trap looks like the new safe & fun way to defeat them.
Someone probably already commented this but I believe every weapon gets a 2x multiplier on the hit that would break the weapon. So the Royal guards claymore gets a 2x multiplier when it becomes damaged and another 2x is added if it’s on that last hit resulting in a 4x power while hitting the lynel when mounted. With a molduga jaw and the bone proficiency that makes for massive damage. I don’t think I heard it mentioned in the video
I have truly not utilized all of the tools available to me in this game. I still use the "run-in-circles and scream" method. 😂 I mean early on I did that. I have good armor so I can relax a bit. The weapons buffs and barbarian armor upgrades are OP. So many options! Great tutorial!
Love seeing how different we all play this game! Note: when you’re destroying your claymore, stop hitting it as soon as the durability / about to break message pops up! You get the damage buff right then so you have a few back up hits before it actually breaks when fighting. Very fun video.
Actually, you get more damage if you will bring it to its total breaking point basically one hit before it breaks… (it’s kinda like a hidden factor) you can try it both ways and prove it to yourself but trust me you want to bring it to right before it breaks😉meaning one hit away from breaking
wow! you are a real queen! I was looking for such a video with all the new tricks of the game! I don't know how to dodge hits in time, but I have a lot of mushrooms! thank you so much for the details about the weapons 👌👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥

It’s nice to see someone else that doesn’t have five rows of hearts 😂 I really like how well you explain your videos. You don’t leave me to try and guess certain things. Much appreciated!
I havent been able to play nearly as much as i want because of life. Right now im in the exploration stage and trying to do Shrines for hearts and stamina. The list of enemies i just run from is long and hilarious. Also spending time trying to build crazy things.👍
I enjoy your videos. They are helpful and your voice is a treat to the ears. My method for dealing with Lynels was the same here as in BotW-Arrow to the face and ride its back. Weapon durability wasn't dropped then and still isn't now. I had grabbed one of those Royal Guard Claymore and intentionally broke it so that its pristine counterpart would have a chance of spawning in the Gerudo Highland Depths. Hard part was finding a shadow soldier that was holding two handed weapons as I had only found one so far.
At timestamp 3:00 in the Castle, collecting royal weapons, lite the two torches on the sides of the throne and the wall behind it opens up. There's a chest wirh a royal bow behind the throne.
Not sure if you saw it, but at 1:58, there is a royal guard's bow on top of the fireplace, so if you want, you wouldn't need to reenter the castle if you don't need to royal guard's shield and sword. :)
@@WTF-Gaming Oh it really does come in handy. I've accidentally broken mine more than once. I've learned since then, and keep an extra one in my Tarrey Town home at all times.
Nice tutorial! thank you! Also I would have never thought to hit my weapon on the ground. I may go with a more traditional way but this is great to know
You are a badass ❤ Love this chanel. I've been avoiding these posts so my game experience isn't spoiled... but I've gotten a good feel for the mechanics now and want to see how others are coping with enemies.
I just parry them and call it a day. There are certain attacks they do that are iffy on the timing but it feels way more reliable than trying to find the flurry rush timing. Also, you don't have to worry about any weapon breaking. i can use my silver lynel horn scimitar of the seven with like 138 power on them without issue.
Great video. The royal claymore method is good, but I found the Scimitar of the Seven with a molduga jaw much more flexible and fun to play with. Base damage is strong, and upgraded radiant set and attack food can each add stackable multipliers. It is a hammer so it can break armor and it's a fast weapon so you can wield a shield and get lots of fast hits with it. Biggest advantage is you can use it as an all purpose weapon for all fights and not worry about only using when on the back of a lynel. It is not strictly the highest possible damage, but the damage is still massive, and the extra usability definitely made it worth a couple extra swings for my playstyle. Just for consideration, thanks!
When modifying weapons with the octorock use recall to send your weapon flying back at them to kill them. Since you need to kill them anyway (or reload a save) after they modify the weapon there is no reason to let them live and it prevents any chance of getting hit by your weapon being shot out. A better attack modifier is to use 4 mighty bananas and a dragon horn (guaranteed 30-minute buff) or use 4 bananas and a monster extract. When you use 1 monster extract it randomly adds 1, 10, or 30 minutes of buff time to the recipe. Just save before you cook so you can reload if you don't get the 30-minute buff.
Great video. I have a routine for the Sanctum. I get there by way of the shrine in the back of the castle and use puff shrooms to easily take out 3 black moblins (their horns have pretty decent fuse attack power) then climb up the wall by the 3 dead trees near the moblins, climb up a couple more short walls and I'm in the sanctum, I get the items you describe and then use a combination of the ascend ability and climbing to get to the highest spire where the Dusk Bow is located which respawns every blood moon. Also if you look around in the little towers circling the sanctum you can find other decent weapons as well.
Going to the castle, you can go to Zelda's room from the second exit after you fly there and collect the first claymore and bow, there's a second bow in Zelda's room above the fireplace also
Thank you!!! I cannot stress this enough! This is so helpful for someone who is a casual gamer and avoided them like the plague while playing BOTW. This seems possible now! 😂
@@WTF-Gaming UPDATE: I BEAT MY FIRST LYNEL!!!! TALK TO ME NICE!!!! lol, thank you so much!! I've NEVER liked, commented, and subscribed so fast in my life! I found that a lynel bow + gibdo bone fuse really cuts lynels down while in midair. Once landed hitting a it a few times with a 50+ sword did the trick.
I used ancient blades attached to arrows to get rid of all 5 of them in order to get Majora's Mask, but I'll definitely use these techniques for farming.

I've had many weapons break during mounts. They all had durability up+ and had not been used at all. Very annoying.
thank you for making this video 😭🙏 id only killed a lynel once before, in botw (and it did . not go great) so i like to be super prepared. your strategy worked great for me :D
i used the radiant set / stalnox horn + clean royal guard claymore / attack up x3 meal. went crazy fast and now im not scared to approach lynels !
I am so glad I could help and thank you for watching!
Thank you💞 I am so glad it helps. And thank you for watching!
This is the first time I've watched a gaming video from someone who sounds like they could live next door to me. Weirdly comforting. Also, very useful lynel tips, thank you :D
You are very welcome 💞and thank you for watching!
Very calming voice! Listened to this while already read the strat! Keep it up!
Thank you and thank you for watching!
I am so glad that I can help and thank you for watching!💞
Agreed. I barely touched them in BOTW. Only when it was required. With other, allegedly tougher enemies in TOTK, I've vowed to give them a go this game, and try this out.
You got this💪
Thanks for the tip on the Ancient royal Guard weapons.
I could listen to you the whole day
P.s.: thanx for the tips I’m gonna try tonight
Thank you, you are very welcome and thank you for watching!
Girl I love your accent so much lol it makes your tutorial and hunting tips so much more enjoyable in a way 😂 keep at it 🙌🏻
Thank you and thank you for watching!
Thank u so much, defeated them all in one try, loving the loot. Idk if anyone else experienced this but i found the companions getting hits in got rid of the question mark and then lynel would attack, I quickly turned them all off expect tulin and smooth sailing from then on. Awesome loot.
You are welcome… Yes, it helps to turn the champions off, I did fail to mention that, thank you and thank you for watching!
Omg omg!! My finger hit subscribe so fast when I heard another southern woman playing Zelda!! In 35 years in Oklahoma, I’ve not found one lol keep it up!
My favorite part of this video is your Southern Accent! Makes me feel like I’m learning a valuable life lesson lol
😎
I have not played this yet, but I have watched a lot of videos for it, & auto build with the right death trap looks like the new safe & fun way to defeat them.
Pack yourself a lunch...most adorable explanation of that ever
😉💞
You taught me for my first time and here we are again!!!
😉💞
I hope it helps… Happy hunting!
So I’ve watched multiple UA-camrs TOTK videos and yours is byyyyyyy far the easiest to follow!!! & I definitely prefer your voice lol
Thank you so much, I hope it helps and thank you for watching!
Just watched an "easy" video and OMG it was not easy.. using the puddlemuds is practical..and the recipes help. This is great!
This was SO USEFUL! Also I'm loving your accent
Thank you, I hope it helps and thank you for watching!
🤣 Love the screaming method😂 💞thank you!
LOVE this video! You're a rockstar for doing this. Definitely liked and subscribed!
Thank you for the sub, I hope it helps and thank you for watching!
Thanks to you and your video, I had the confidence to take this on tonight and got through it first try!! You're the best!!!
You are very welcome, I’m so glad it helped 💪…thank you for watching!
wow! you are a real queen! I was looking for such a video with all the new tricks of the game! I don't know how to dodge hits in time, but I have a lot of mushrooms! thank you so much for the details about the weapons 👌👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you💞 I hope it helps… here is a breath of the wild video on exactly how I taught myself to kill Lynels … The mechanics here in tears of the kingdom are exactly the same, it may help 😉
I Prefer to Parry How to Kill A Lynel in Zelda Breath of The Wild

It’s nice to see someone else that doesn’t have five rows of hearts 😂 I really like how well you explain your videos. You don’t leave me to try and guess certain things. Much appreciated!
You are very welcome, thank you for watching!
Thanks!
Thank you!💞
Her voice reminds me of like a gamer mom and it’s so comforting hear her talk about totk (my latest obsession lol)
Thank you! 💞
Thank you, I did fail to mention that, but I was really looking for the Royal guards, Claymore, I think it comes in handy to have more than one😉
@@WTF-Gaming Oh it really does come in handy. I've accidentally broken mine more than once. I've learned since then, and keep an extra one in my Tarrey Town home at all times.
My strategy has just been brute force.
Yours is cool too.
😉💪
I haven't tried the Lynels yet, but I loved your videos feom BOTW! Thank you!!
Thank you!💞
This just made me realize how little i know about this game lol. Excellent information though wow.
You are very welcome and thank you for watching!
Thanks for the map tip (pressing X to go back to world map).
I can finally watch your tutorials again!
omg this was amazingly helpful and very detailed! Thank you so much!
You are very welcome, and I hope it helps… Happy hunting and thank you for watching!
Nice tutorial! thank you! Also I would have never thought to hit my weapon on the ground. I may go with a more traditional way but this is great to know
You are a badass ❤
Love this chanel.
I've been avoiding these posts so my game experience isn't spoiled... but I've gotten a good feel for the mechanics now and want to see how others are coping with enemies.
Thank you💞 I hope it helps and thank you for watching!
I just parry them and call it a day. There are certain attacks they do that are iffy on the timing but it feels way more reliable than trying to find the flurry rush timing. Also, you don't have to worry about any weapon breaking. i can use my silver lynel horn scimitar of the seven with like 138 power on them without issue.
my favorite part is where she shows/tells you where to find the octopus with the modifiers, it was great!
Excellent tips… Thank you!
Figured out this strategy early on and beat the first lynel I came across with no problems
Because of your accent. Which is roughly the same as mine. It makes following your suggestions very easy! appreciate it
You are very welcome, and thank you for watching!💞
Thanks! I like this method wayyy better than the regular shield method 👍
Lynels scare the crap out of me. But after seeing your method I am feeling confident about trying out the colosseum. Thanks
You are very welcome and you got this!💪😎
Love the details! You got yourself a new follower. Thanks!
Thank you for the sub and thank you for watching!
Thank you for the tips! Apparently there's a lot of stuff I didn't know.
You are very welcome and thank you for watching!
Fantastic video. I love the thorough simple explanation.
Thank you and thank you for watching!
Your back!! Miss ya..look forward to more
😉💞
Going to the castle, you can go to Zelda's room from the second exit after you fly there and collect the first claymore and bow, there's a second bow in Zelda's room above the fireplace also
Thank you, and thank you for watching!
I remember the very first Lynel I killed and the feeling was amazing, after trying for at least an hour and that final sweet hit was so worth it.
💞
Great video ma'am. Your voice is soothing, but I am from Texas. My wife also enjoys your videos. Keep it up!.
Thank you, and thank you guys so much for watching!
first time i've seen your videos, what a lovely accent and voice!
Thank you!💞
I learnt my lynel method from Sherri for Breath of the Wild .... my first ToTK lynel was surprisingly easy! Can't wait to go hunting in the colosseum!
I am so glad I can help, thank you for watching!
Fantastic breakdown! Thanks! I usually avoid the Lynels but I think I am gonna give this a try!
Thank you, You got this 😎💪
Thank you!!! I cannot stress this enough! This is so helpful for someone who is a casual gamer and avoided them like the plague while playing BOTW. This seems possible now! 😂
It is possible, you got this!💪😎
@@WTF-Gaming UPDATE: I BEAT MY FIRST LYNEL!!!! TALK TO ME NICE!!!! lol, thank you so much!! I've NEVER liked, commented, and subscribed so fast in my life! I watched a few of your other videos too and your explanations are so clear and easy to understand! Thank you for not assuming everyone is an expert and using terms like "gumball machine" and "pack a lunch." lol. thank you!
You are so very welcome, thank you for the sub, I am so glad it helps and thank you so much for watching!
I found that a lynel bow + gibdo bone fuse really cuts lynels down while in midair. Once landed hitting a it a few times with a 50+ sword did the trick.
Good technique, I'll try this next time I'm playing.
You got a like and a subscribe. This game is way different that BOTW. Guides like this help alot.
Thank you, I hope it helps and thank you for watching!
I used ancient blades attached to arrows to get rid of all 5 of them in order to get Majora's Mask, but I'll definitely use these techniques for farming.
