Actually he lives is normal life after you beat the game funnily enough enough you should try it out and get on the 2nd floor and observe him after u beat the game.
who here thought the neighbor's AI was best in alpha 1? I mean I like how the neighbor was in alpha 1. he didn't hang out in the exact room/floor, he was unpredictable without the shaking camera warning and best of all he was slower than the player. that may seem bad to you but to me it evens things out because of the neighbor's traps and objects he threw at you. I'm not saying the AI in the other alphas are bad, but the one made for alpha 1 was in my opinion, the best for an intense and fun experiences.
I personally think that, if the AIs across the build were mixed, it'd be pretty good. The pathfinding and reacting from Alpha 1's (actually sets useful traps to stop you, instead of spamming cameras) the speed of Alpha 4's (not faster than the player, but just slightly slower) the absence of the glue-throwing and the general life of Alpha 2's. Of course, there are other things such as the announcement trailer neighbor's AI that would actually be the perfect AI, but this is as close as possible.
Yeah, In Alpha 1 Neighbor Acts More Like A Human Being. If You Enter The Backdoor And Enter The Bedroom In The First Day, He Would Act Like A Human Or At Least A Brave Human. He Would Hear The Door To The Bedroom, Hear The Player Hide Under The Bed And He Would Enter The Room And See The Player's Crowbar And He Would Catch Him. If The Player Doesn't Take The Crowbar Yet, The Mustachio Man Won't See Him And Would Just Leave The Room Turning The Hunt Mode On. It Is Just What I Would Do If I Was The Neighbor.
It would be cool if the neighbor greets you if you are at his door or just near by. But when he goes into hunt mode when he sees you he will stare making sure you don't get near. The neighbor could also let you inside of you knock on his door. Then you could search more with out him suspecting but he might follow you some places and if you do something he kicks you out asking you to leave. This would make it more lively and I think it would be a good addition
What you said is true, the neighbor AI was actually interesting in pre alpha and alpha 1 but everything after they lost interest in AI and focused on the puzzle instead. Wish they could continue the AI
@@elbardelforajido7052 the old story was something about we being the brother, if you see the announcement trailer aka the prototype trailer you can see that the shadow has gloves, thin body and a like pear format head and if you that photo from the neighbor with the other guy we can see that the face from the other is a pear format, so in the prototype pre alpha alpha 1 the story was that we were the neighbor's brother? I personally like that in the announcement trailer, the player is blocked from entering room by the neighbor blocking the path with tables and chairs. I personally think that this should be in the final build or in the next alpha. But only when he is in attack mode, were there are paths blocked that the player isn't in. This would make the Neighbor more interesting and very difficult. It would be better then just blocking the doors with chairs, that would just only stop the player for only for a second. This too makes the game even more mysterious. Please like if you agree.
Why does this look like an updated Pre-Alpha? Like he is using animations that were starting to be used from Alpha 2. And the lighting looks nicer on the bulbs.
Well, since the pre a is free, people could've got the announcement trailer version, and deleted if too much lag. The pre Alpha is easy to run, but some functions, like too many bear traps, lags me.
But what about people that don't lag? I personally get a bit but not major on this build. We should get a nicer version and not be limited by others if you know what I'm coming from.
Why couldn't Pre-Alpha be just like this? Why couldn't this be what Hello Neighbor is today? I just don't understand why they changed it. But I'm glad they kept the alphas free and playable on steam. Edit: Well, Pre-Alpha Is sort of like this, but it just isn't as "properly working" I don't know.
@@shewolfcub3 Yeah, it does in the pre-alpha, but in Alpha 1 it's completely broken, if the neighbor is in attack mode and you go hide in a closet or under a bed in a room on the other side of the house with no indication that you are there, he'll still go to that room and find you hiding.
Man all of us are saying that wanted to get the old story back, but we don't remember that there was a kickstarter and if we helped tinyBuildGAMES and Dynamic Pixels in that moment the old art and story and AI would have been back and the way hello neighbor was before would ended up! So unfortunately the way that the old art and story didn't came back is because of our fault.
Was it as you hoped? Because I can certainly say the final release was a disappointment, even Jacksepticeye couldn't finish his series on the game due to how bad it got towards the end.
You Guys should make it where there is a game mode where another player can play as the neighbor and hunt the the other player down of course you would also have to make a objective as well if you do this.
just so you know guys, this version contains pretty much all of prototype things included sounds, animations etc. but there are many new more new unused things in this compared to the prototype
Even thought there are unused things in this video/build I think prototype has way more unused things Edit: Just noticed the fact in 0:13 the devgamm house is there
Sadly, the AI in the more recent updates doesn't do half of this stuff. He doesn't do his daily routine, he doesn't even block doors or board windows :/
Alpha 1 had the better AI of all the builds, I literally love how instead of following you, he takes some shortcuts just like what you can see at this video
Also the neighbor does not really do much in idle mode... He rarely even goes into in the main game. He's always doing his main thing - trying to protect his basement and keep people out of his house.
If only the final game looked and had these mechanics, I remember when I was a kid trying to find this version of the game because it looked so much better than the final version. Tiny Build if you see my comment please update Hello Neighbor to look like this.
youll be surprised to figure out that this AI system is not that hard to make. someone needs to make it and put it through the modkit. maybe ill do it sometime
I got questions: Why did Hello Neighbor switch from Realistic and dark to Bright and Cartoony? what happened between alpha 1 and alpha 2? also you maybe did not notice it but there's an player model in pre alpha, in alpha 1 its gone, in alpha 2 and since the player model changed and got more advanced and detailed. Great Game tinyBuildGAMES :D (i would love to get replied answers)
Did you know that Alpha 2 had a development build that was called Alpha 1.5? It features the old art style, and is seen in the Basement Trailer for Alpha 2.
When I got the pre Alpha, and went through the from door, there wasn't a blue lamp, vase by tv room, and cameras(well, except on the desk by the upside down room). Is this a testing ground or another version of the pre Alpha that people can't get, like the announcement trailer? Just wondering.
@@StarseedDev the part when the neighbor jumps through the window is obviously scripted but maybe the first seconds of the chase aren't scripted and are an actual AI
Question: Why wasn't this version if the pre alpha released? Obviously, it had the advanced air in it. The things your talking about are in alpha 1. He sets so many bear traps and cameras in that version. Also, the only time I've ever seen the Neighbor 'physically' set traps was in the alpha 2, which was changed from the better one to the worse. Also, the pre alpha neighbor never got more complicated. It's the same, old, super fast neighbor who goes everywhere. Hmmm what else am I missing. Ah yes! The announcement trailer. That was probably going to be the original pre alpha. Looked like the same design. The only 'good' thing about the pre Alpha is the puzzles. There a bit fun and challenging. In the normal pre alpha, I've never seen the Neighbor wash his hands, or do his exercises. I haven't seen him physically hammer boards on a window, or set traps with an animation in pre alpha. It's pre but the announcement trailer seems like the full game. Also, for the Russian company, I will translate this entire paragraph. This is a big comment. It was only the first version tho you wouldn't expect to be everything in the game. This was just a different version for coding the game not the actual game btw.
He does do all the animations in the pre alpha on steam now, get him to chase you and hide in your home and watch him from the window. The boards are when the player is immediately caught and is in their house lol
Does everything in Russian have opposite meanings? They said the AI got better, it got worse. In the old alphas the neighbour used to cut you off, do daily things instead of always hunt for you, and notice moved objects. They said the art style got better. It didn’t, it looked like a kids cartoon game instead of a stealth horror game, which is what they were going for. They should’ve kept the old art style. Also, where was the really creepy ambient music when you went in the neighbours house in Pre Alpha? They removed that in the final version which annoyed me. It made the game more scarier.
So true, I’ve been saying that for the past four years. In Pre-Alpha he would move the Fridge and the Table in front of doors he would even make a tower of stacked objects in the corner room that connects the living room and his bedroom. Also sometimes a light post in the backyard that would sometimes spawn next to the back door. The graphics got way too cartoony in Alpha 2. All in all the Pre-Alpha and Alpha 1 were the best in my opinion.
The 3 chases themes in alpha 1 were so scary, but now we have a "chase music" that the more you hear it, the more you notice it's just 4 guitar string repeated over and over and sometimes the chase theme is so low that I don't notice the neighbor's chasing me
@@THIAGO_247and the fact they also added a special effect that you get when the neighbour gets close to you makes the jump scares too predictable to the point where they don't even feel like jump scares

1:35 when he can swim?
hes taking a bath
bath
No they probably planned for him to have a pool I mean the neighbors looks wealthy
Why does this look like an updated Pre-Alpha?
Like he is using animations that were starting to be used from Alpha 2.
And the lighting looks nicer on the bulbs.
I wish they had both downloadable for low and high end.
Also the announcement trailer house would've been nice.
3:51 coolest part of the early pre alpha
The announcement trailer version has to be the BEST version in my opinion
Hands down my friend.
@@Archfiend_Sushi7746 Whatever
You: *sitting there as you watch the Neighbor wash his hands with gloves on...*
The neighbor used to know exactly where you were... even if you were hiding and not in his line of sight.
Titanic His AI would piece together if you his in a room, if he sees you go in a room and all the doors are closed he knows you hid
When I play Beta 3, he's still like that.
Love watching these old Hello Neighbor videos!
error in subtitles at 2:48 It means, that if you once hide yourself in the wardrobe, the neighbor will *nor* probably
Dude it’s a Russian company
Man, the older builds were so much better.
Is true, that game comes out in Q1 2018?
Hendysovo Doupě Actually, the full release or at least the steam and xbox versions release this summer
Hendysovo Doupě auguest 29th. 1 more month
Hendysovo Doupě December 8th
Sad we have to wait, but if it's only 40% complete that means it's gonna be even better
It comes out December 8th.
In the words of Chuck McGill
“What a sick joke!”
(Wearing gloves)
(Washes hands)
you know the usal
Man all of us are saying that wanted to get the old story back, but we don't remember that there was a kickstarter and if we helped tinyBuildGAMES and Dynamic Pixels in that moment the old art and story and AI would have been back and the way hello neighbor was before would ended up! So unfortunately the way that the old art and story didn't came back is because of our fault.
What was the old story
Impressive work, can't wait to see various UA-camrs like 8-BitRyan,IGP and others play the full version in Augest!
Was it as you hoped? Because I can certainly say the final release was a disappointment, even Jacksepticeye couldn't finish his series on the game due to how bad it got towards the end.
this aged badly
Man nostalgia also forgot the music that plays when he sees you was like that every time
You Guys should make it where there is a game mode where another player can play as the neighbor and hunt the the other player down of course you would also have to make a objective as well if you do this.
FYK1372337 never gonna happen... it will ruin the game and plus an advanced AI does the job better than a player playing as the neighbor.
in the original kickstarter a multiplayer was planned if they reached a certain ammount of funds
Have I got something for you...
Well, they didn’t have a mode for that but you can get Secret Neighbor which is a multiplayer game of hello neighbor
I like the older version better because it looked like a normal house. Which made it creepy
Pre - alpha tge best! 1,3, and 4... He`s very unrealy, pre-alpha and 2 Alpha cool, but pre, the best!!! Простите за мой английский 😊
just so you know guys, this version contains pretty much all of prototype things included sounds, animations etc. but there are many new more new unused things in this compared to the prototype
Even thought there are unused things in this video/build I think prototype has way more unused things
Edit: Just noticed the fact in 0:13 the devgamm house is there
Sadly, the AI in the more recent updates doesn't do half of this stuff. He doesn't do his daily routine, he doesn't even block doors or board windows :/
You should make it so he can place a specific amount of cameras because at one point it's basically impossible to hide
In Pre Alpha Neighbor wasn't so smart like in the video.
Yellow Brilliant TV why do I see you everywhere
The early Pre-Alpha AI is so smart, even smarter then Pre Alpha to Full release.
Alpha 1 had the better AI of all the builds, I literally love how instead of following you, he takes some shortcuts just like what you can see at this video
@@THIAGO_247 yeah fr
When the AI was actually extremely advanced and not spoofed and dumb like the full release.
I love playing this game and watching how the neighbour works is even more interesting
After watching this video, beating Hello neighbor looks impossible.
Also the neighbor does not really do much in idle mode...
He rarely even goes into in the main game. He's always doing his main thing - trying to protect his basement and keep people out of his house.
ngl, this ai is better then the first and second games.
this video helped me with my own game-play in hello neighbour i realised some of the AI has changed by some of the explanations here are still valid
They need to go into Beta, it's starting to shape into a full game
Alpha 4 is the most closest to the full game. And the full game is out on August 29
nope summer 2017
hello neighbor jamal August is in summer bro lmao, also it was confirmed this game is coming august 29th
No betas. Alpha 4 is the last alpha. But who knows, mabye
It was confirmed there will be a new build at E3
Now we are going to talk about the attack mo- *dies*
I never knew it started like that.
After a attack mode neighbor will block the door with a chair trying to catch him
If only the final game looked and had these mechanics, I remember when I was a kid trying to find this version of the game because it looked so much better than the final version. Tiny Build if you see my comment please update Hello Neighbor to look like this.
I agree bro best neighbor is pre-alpha
the sounds were way better in this pre alpha then the one we got.
Hey TinyBuild I Built Hello Neighbor Pre Alpha In Minecraft On My PlayStation 5
They don’t care
this version of the game was much much better than the final release
I wish they kept the old art style
yes
The old art style and the old ai is so much better
5:23 should we call that hardcore defense and analyzation mode (HDAA Mode)?
Hello Neighbor blew me away! Love your game!❤❤
I wish the AI was this good in the final game.
youll be surprised to figure out that this AI system is not that hard to make. someone needs to make it and put it through the modkit. maybe ill do it sometime
@@thatchannel3032 Good luck.
I hope that the neighbor will only discover you more often in a spot if he catches you there.
Pre Alpha has character model?
Yes,it has
Did you know that Alpha 2 had a development build that was called Alpha 1.5? It features the old art style, and is seen in the Basement Trailer for Alpha 2.
@@Vaati456 Yes actually its used in the first trailer for Alpha 2 and has a lot of paintings and drawings from alpha 1
The bear trap design in the little preview near the beginning was really nice.
The video with pre alpha, after alpha 4)))
Whos watching this on 2021 and just noticed the grave behind the player house?
When I got the pre Alpha, and went through the from door, there wasn't a blue lamp, vase by tv room, and cameras(well, except on the desk by the upside down room). Is this a testing ground or another version of the pre Alpha that people can't get, like the announcement trailer? Just wondering.
I think this version is build for TinyBuild.Exclusive.
as thay said...The house changes depending on what you do
The neighbour put sofas up against doors in this version, and is much more idle.
in my opinion i think the ai rundown is better than the prototype
Yeah, especially knowing the prototype didn't even had an AI, all the prototype was scripted
@@THIAGO_247 there were some parts of the prototype that were scripted but it actually has ai at least i think
@@THIAGO_247 It has ai when he starts chasing you but after you look back he just deletes itself
@@StarseedDev the part when the neighbor jumps through the window is obviously scripted but maybe the first seconds of the chase aren't scripted and are an actual AI
@@THIAGO_247 Thats what i mean but right after you go to open the double door the neighbor vanishes so you dont get caught
Pre-alpha is my favorite alpha.
Vopros: Pochemu eta versiya ne byla vypushchena do versii? Ochevidno, v nem byl peredovoy vozdukh. To, o chem vy govorite, nakhoditsya v al'fa-1. V etoy versii on ustanavlivayet tak mnogo lovushek i kamer. Eto tot samyy, staryy, super bystryy sosed, kotoryy idet povsyudu. Khmmm, chto yeshche mne ne khvatayet. O da! Reklamnyy treyler. Veroyatno, eto budet original'naya pre-al'fa. Pokhozhe na tot zhe dizayn. Yedinstvennaya «khoroshaya» veshch' v pre-al'fe - eto golovolomki. Tam nemnogo veselo i slozhno. Eto pre, no treyler ob"yavleniya kazhetsya polnoy igroy. Krome togo, dlya rossiyskoy kompanii ya perevedu ves' etot paragraf.
Also, never seen him do the look around animation in the pre alpha.
It was only the first version tho you wouldn't expect to be everything in the game. This was just a different version for coding the game not the actual game btw.
the whole thing was scripted
That is a big comment
He does do all the animations in the pre alpha on steam now, get him to chase you and hide in your home and watch him from the window. The boards are when the player is immediately caught and is in their house lol
Where was this AI in the final product?! The Neighbor just b-lines towards you he didn’t try to cut you off
Does everything in Russian have opposite meanings?
And the pre alpha we got in idle- he watches tv,watches tv and oh ya watches tv
