God, imagine a cutscene in which Link is on his way to a dungeon near Kakariko or Hateno, or maybe even Lurelin in which he runs by and a certain name on a gravestone catches his eye, and when he goes back to inspect it he realizes it’s that of his sister’s. That would make the game darker than Majora’s Mask like Miyamoto said 100%.
DachKing even better, his own grave
@Mason Mackinnon
Oh... oh god no
@@masonmackinnon952 oh dear god you're right. His family probably wouldn't have known what exactly happened to him, and would have to have a funeral without a body or explanation. That is, if they survived the Calamity itself.
And what if his memory still isn't complete so he gets flashbacks of people he doesn't remember, and you get 6 memories in total to collect. 3 at places his family used to live, and the last 3 being their gravestones...3 cuz what if his grandma from WW is in his memories too...
( ._.)
Theres an exit in Kakariko that has tonnes of stone pillars that look like traditional japanese grave markers. Maybe he'll be overlooking the cliff and one day realises a knows a name on one of them...his sister...dated 4 years after the calamity
Imagine if they hid a picori in the reveal trailer and we just never noticed because they're too small.
Jump On Everything it would make sense there not there the hylians are hiding and the minis have nothing to hide
Could have some on the rhino thing
The Picori can only be seen by children, they’re prob there but since only kids can see them they’re invisible to us.
@@marie-camilleschaap2708 it's possible that time travel will make it possible to visit them. But obviously Nintendo was trying to change the lore a bit because they had an adult link visiting them. That and they are a bigger than the picori. So maybe they are new tiny people
@@xXdarkdekuXx true but Nintendo did not state that they were picori they could also be a different race that's similar to the picori.
If anyone still has any doubts about that photo with Link, young female and the grown up male (7:56) being Link's family, in the upper part of the photo we can see 家族 which in japanese literally means 'family'. There you go, hope I helped c:
The item that seemed like it had a purpose , Had a great hidden "purpose" intentionally or not it being that letter being in the game makes it one of the coolest Zelda items that does nothing. I feel like it would be totally omitted if it didn't have"some" purpose like some lore, or something to make you think.
I noticed that text as well and was gonna say something, but you beat me to the punch. Lol :P
@@kage2395 Same
He said the girl looks like Arel from Wind Waker, but am I the only one that thinks she looks more like Malon from OoT??
@@John-X yeah
She look kinda like a combination of both of them actually...
"I think we should have a race of tiny creatures"
Koroks: "what am I, a roach!?"
Korok's suck, they should Leave.
geddit?
ngl tho I LOVE koroks, we need more.
If I remeber correctly: yeah kinda
@Kamagrie Last Name who is this?
There is a Korok that is bigger than Link, so they aren't entirely a race of tiny creatures.
@@MinishMoosen there is a fool bigger than me , so i am not alone here
Just imagine how heartbreaking it would be if Link met the children of his sister
That would be wholesome
It would be cool if Link could do a quest with them.
The great-grandchildren would be a safer bet.
@@ilikeceral3 it's 100 years. The average (healthy) human lifespan can go up to like 80-90 years. Practically a whole century, so he could theoretically meet them but they'd probably look a lot older than him.
Owlame 22 hyllan is a sub-species of human, from my knowledge they can live for longer than 120 years.
As much as I call myself a big zelda fan, ive never played through Minish Cap. I never knew theyre why theres rupees in grass. Thats just fascinating to me.
Jungle_Twist it’s the best 2d zelda hands down from the level of content alone. The amount of sword skills might even rival Twilight princesses’
@@Fanatic_Foremem Link's Awakening, Minish Cap, & Foursword Adventures are my favorite games.
Don't worry Jungle_Twist, I never got past dungeon 1
Play it, it's an amazing game
I've imagined how the Minish would participate in the war:
Their champion, piloting Vah Ant, an army of ant-sized sheika beasts (or insects) that are responsible for the maintenance of every guardian.
It's funny enough to me.
LOL. 😂
Ooooh, the tiny divine beast hanging from the ceiling of an ancient lab (unsure which one) could be an easter egg to the minish! A minish divine beast!
This is silly and weird enough that I can c it. I really like the idea of a squadron (or several) of chosen Minish warriors with tiny flying divine beasts(like a Minish sized flying variant of Links motorcycle) in charge of repairs for the other divine beasts and guardians.
Vah Ezlys after your hat Ezlo.
@@amandaslough125 Perfect reference
I wanna swim in the sequel. There's a ton of potential for exploring underwater civilizations and temples, and I really wanna explore them all. Also, you have no idea how annoying it is every time I lose an item or non-metal weapon and it falls into a deep body of water and I can't swim down to retrieve it.
Uhh, Magnesis?
Okay, kidding. I know your pain when non magnetic weapons fall into water.
Bruh just take a metal sword, mag it into the water and push the thing you lost up the wall. Like scooping out that last lil bit of ice cream from the tub
It’ll be a bit tricky though. You’d have to carefully balance the item on the weapon as you’re pulling it back up, and it’s really tedious and time consuming.
If I may, what about going full Majora's mask and allowing the player to play as teba, riju, sidon, and the goron whom I forget. This would allow for new mechanics such as a flight system for teba that in my mind would combine the elytra from Minecraft with the boost from twilight princesses flight minigame, sidons swim mechanics could be ripped from Majora's mask itself since I've heard nothing but good about them, I envisioned riju as an ocarina of Time call back with dual sabers(one hot and one cold) and your only way to defend is to parry and dodge, the goron could be a slow ball and chain user. Please tell me what you think, I really want to bounce this idea around and see what others think!
@@leondyer3855That sounds like a good idea. And I believe the Goron's name was Yunobo.
How heartbreaking would it be if Link found his sister after he woke up and she was an old woman on her death bed? A tearful reunion of siblings just before she passes on.
Even better, what if he watched or learned that she died because of the Calamity? That'd bring a lot of self-guilt, which could be interesting, story-wise.
JMZ that would make sense because hylians don’t live over 100 most of the time
We've only ever known of a precise 100 year gap between events with TWW/PH -> ST (where we do see the character Niko from TWW still alive and well in ST) and with BotW Link's death and resurrection. Almost all other big gaps in the timeline are left vague and are best assumed to be on a scale of hundreds of years. (With the one exception to that rule being the exact 10,000 years before BotW Link's lifetime when Calamity Ganon had first been stopped with the Divine Beasts. That's the only time they've been precise about a larger gap in the timeline.)
Or better yet, before her death he discovers she has children and grandchildren, who play a role in the rest of the game’s story
O-kay Satan you know WHY did you have to do that to my heart? Like how *dare* ...... go work for Nintendo and make it happen lolol
I think it would be amazing and also rather heartbreaking if Link had a little sister and could find her descendants after defeating the calamity. Imagine while you're running around in the new game, seeing a traveler that looks like Aryll.
I would very much like to see Sidon, Yunobo, Teba and Riju as the new champions.
I think Yunobo couldn't be strong enough to be a champion
@Jon Jacob Kiel Planas That could be a really good character development though :D
SIDON!!
Yeah boi
I’d like to see them in the champion’s tunic
Something to note... they brought back Beedle for Botw1. Will we get TINGLE for Botw2??
I want his "thank you" voice line!!!
ohh no
Please no. His suit already turned up, let him stay dead.
I only played one zelda game (botw) but pls n o
Kilton is enough
Oh, I was thinking of Link's family just the other day! His father and sister are both surely dead, but I wonder if he has living relatives... not sure if I'd be happy or sad to learn more about that. Ahh!
Right, like an old nephew or niece somewhere, or something.
"Are you my champion great great great uncle?"
Unless...the maybe the sister had...the Ocarina?
I honestly think link is part the zonia tribe making his backstory in my eyes way more dramatic
Unless part of the game takes place in the past. Which would be awesome.
Hearing about Link's family actually made me sad because I was thinking his interacts with them and my heart couldn't handle it.
Maybe we'll be able to see Link start to recall his memories with them in BotW 2. That'll make for some interesting scenes.
@@CrazyHand7894 I would love to see more memories!
@@kingcandyhorns but i hope there is more to the story than just getting memories
I'm just imagining a side quest about link trying to discover where they might have hide 100 years ago, and recalling time spent with his father and sister now that his memory has returned. Then at the end of the quest he reunites with his little sister who's now a much more aged women.
@@facepwnagewtf She'd definitely be dead. We never see a hylian that's still alive. The kakariko tribe seem to have enhanced lifespans
I want to see a "return" of Aryll. Link should always have an adorable little sister.
hell yeah.
would be a grand-ma by now if still alive. what about some of his descendants? his sister lived on and married and got lots of kids or something. A 20 yo looking link being a grand grandfather would be super cool to see. imagine the interactions with zelda!
His Uncle should be a swordsman and blacksmith, who teaches Link how to repair weapons through ores.
Make the little sister "Linkle" and have her become playable in a new game + mode with female costume variants. The mod for Linkle was super successful, Nintendo could cash in on that (but probably won't).
@@ocarinaplaya wow, no, shut up.
There was an interview with Miyamoto and Aonuma way back when BotW was still known as Zelda Wii U where they said that the game would feature massive labyrinth-like dungeons on a scale the likes of which this series has never seen before. I remember them saying that a dungeon in the game could be comparable to the size of Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time. There was also the footage at the 2014 Game Awards where Miyamoto said that the owl statues in the Faron region marked the proximity of a dungeon nearby (which we know now to be false as there is no dungeon or divine beast in that region). We now know that those statues were connected to the Zonai which seem to be of importance in the sequel. Could these massive labyrinth-like dungeons return in the sequel and could one be located in the forest of Faron perhaps even at the Dragons den?
I would love that!
Hopefully; that would be awesome to see!
I feel like those ideas were still used, though. Maybe not as dungeons as was said, but maybe reworked into shrines. I mean. There’s three massive labyrinths throughout botw that could fit his description. And in terms of the dungeon in Faron, my idea is a little shaky honestly. But there’s a shrine quest in Faron where you have to see the landmarks to find your way to a shrine that was in the mouth of a dragon shaped body of water in that area.
Also will the dragons play a bigger role in botw 2? The only major role they play are 2 shrines and freeing one of them also a shrine
That dog I guess they could give Link a item though they seemed almost mindless just reacting. Like they have lived for so long that they lost their mind and they are just going along the same routine because they did it for so long.
I hope BOTW 2 is creepy and dark like Majoras mask
Its supposed to be darker than Majoras mask, making it the darkest zelda game yet to come.
Aonuma confirmed it would be "A little darker than Majora's mask". So if we had a game where we are literally stopping a moon from destroying the world and the inhabitants cower in fear, and considering the devastation Calamity Ganon brought upon hyrule 100 years ago, I can't imagine what Ganondorf will do to Hyrule in the sequel.
I mean, BoTW is already dark, they just dont shine a light on it. I'm hoping they dont shy away this time
@@ZeldaLore Hm... Think about it, The Actual Calamity Ganon is just some little Energy which Vapor out of his dry Body and this happend a few times in the past.
I cant imagine how Powerful he himself must be
Twilight Princess is way darker. Why do you people forget about it? lol
I just thought of something. We've always assumed Link's memory loss was because of his 100 year sleep in the shrine of resurrection. What if that isn't it. What if he subconsiously shut out all his memory because all the trauma was just too much to bear. Think about it. He was under all this pressure from the whole nation of hyrule to BE the hero and slay Ganon. So much so he decided to not speak so he could bear it easier. But not only did he fail, not only did he not slay Ganon. But nearly everyone he ever knew, ever loved, his family, his friends, and Mipha who he loved, all died because he couldn't fulfill his role. In his mind, he failed them. And he couldn't live with those memories. That would make Botw, in some since, an adventure to heal Link, rather than simply save hyruel.
Nah. He didn't decide to speak to bear it easier. It's also confirmed in game that it's because of the shrine of ressurection. Plus he's the embodiment of courage.
I don't think so, he completely died which is the reason he lost his memories, but that is a good thought
Nah
in the memory where Zelda is speaking to the great deku tree, she says something like, "although the shrine of resurrection will most certainly deprive him of his memories.." so it's understood that the process of the shrine itself is what wiped his memory.
I DOUBT that Link actually LOVED Mipha though 😕 as he NEVER showed ANY kind of attraction to her on any of the memories. Also I have the feeling that Link will be paired with Zelda during the events of BotW 2 as she also has feelings for him plus she is STILL ALIVE.
I really want to see a cute memory of Link and his younger sister. Especially because he could probably be seen talking to her since he most likely lived with her *before* he got the Master Sword and became the Hero, which was likely when he decided to remain silent.
Or meeting her in the present day, as hylians can live up to 120 years
I love how Zeltik doesn't give a shit about tactical upload times, like once every week or something, but just uploads videos when he has an idea. Maybe three times a week. Great.
They could introduce Redeads in the game since there will probably be Old style Dungeons
more nightmare fuel for little kids
I would love to see old style dungeons instead of the shrines.
Imagine ReDeads appearing from beneath the ground during a Blood Moon... 💀😱
@@javiervasquez8995, you may be onto something!
@@javiervasquez8995 more loot at least
Man i really hope we get it in 2020. But something tells me we're going to have to wait till early 2021. I really hope im wrong.
Amrit Sodhi late 2020 is a possibility but I think 2021 is more likely
theres almost no way that we get it in 2020, it got announced that people were working on it in like early-mid 2019, and it takes around 3-5 years to make a game, so maybe we will get it in late 2021, or somewhere in 2022
@@okshawny 2022 is impossible man. There's no way they're spending 5 years on the sequel.
Sean Kieth Okay ill split the difference and assume they started development in 2018. I mean, come on, you dont think they just took the whole year of 2018 off do you?
@@amritsodhi99 uhhh, it said it in the Nintendo direct in mid 2019 that "development of the sequel to botw is now in progress". why wouldn't they just tell us in 2018 if they were working on a sequel??? and why would they use the term 'now in progress' instead of 'has been in progress'
Hyrule Castle is on the back of that giant guardian and the castle rising up in the trailer is the guardian waking up?
THIS
please
VAH CATACLYSM
The giant guardian fortress is a dungeon in itself. That would fit the divine beast "living dungeon" narrative and it would make room for fully-resurrected Ganondorf (rehydrated or otherwise) to still be the BBEG.
Alternatively, the great plateau is the head of a giant guardian

"Yes, I can see Arryl. And obviously the father-figure looks like Gonz- Oh c'mon, the granddad from Minish Cap?"
I can see both, but the guy stands in the same manner and has the exact build as Gonzo. Otherwise, top notch!
Yeah, I thought of Gonzo too at first. Didn't Spirit Tracks also have a Gonzo looking relative?
@@mah1na Alfonzo
Anyone else notice that the minish in the BotW screenshot is that kid from SS?!
Looked like they were reusing assets to test concepts.
@@AlexysRM Yeah, so maybe if the concept is used we might see more SS style characters
Good old gully
They probably used a child model because that would better fit the minish stature
Yeah,the bug kid!
Why did link have to go into the a 100 year sleep he could have just used a fairy
Damm you right smh why was link so dumb
@@Kiru_Kahl I mean, link was out for the count. It was Zelda that put him in the shrine of resurrection.
Also, I think it's because fairies can't work on someone who's a really dead. They save you as you're dying. Since they didn't have one, I think link actually died, considering the name "shrine of resurrection" which would imply it would bring you back from the dead, not just heal you when you're injured. Would make sense as to why it took so long, and why he had no memories, because the chemical reactions that are memories would have stopped when he died, and... ok I don't know how he got them back then, but... magic. Let's say magic.
Can you tell I like this game? I think about it too much...
William E R/wooosh
Tegan Thrussell r/wooosh
@@Kiru_Kahl That would be Zelda's fault though. 😏 Not so smart for the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom. 😒
Imagine somewhere in botw2, link finds where his family lived after the calamity, if they survived
Perhaps the story of their lives without link could be told through a diary by his sister, telling of how they survived the calamity and all the events that transpired until she died of either old age or of some guardian or monster attack
It would be pretty sad, but also very wholesome if done right
I'd love it
would be truly amazing
What if nintendo is reading the comments right now
Generic are you part of Nintendo? Maybe your hinting that you are in Nintendo and reading this comment
Consider also: his sister survived. Finding either her children and grandchildren (Link's grandnephews!) or even finding her as an old woman.
No offense but reading the diary of Links dead sister doesn’t sound very wholesome
Stuff I need in botw 2:
-More personality for Link, im still frustated that only the japanese version kept the "Link writes his own stuff in the sheikah slate thing," it gave a whole different sense to the whole journey, Link wanted to do all of his misions by pure heart ans wasnt just following his duty as hero. I know it wont be the main focus of the plot since its tloz but at least some more memories about his family and life would make everyone happy
-More exploring on the relationships, If Zelda turns out to be a companion this would be perfect. Even tough we still wont hear Link talk we can explore his ability to communicate with someone close, nintendo has some good potential concepts with this
-return of some traditional zelda mechanics like objects or dungeons, instead of getting rid of conventions try to refresh them. More variation in the puzzles and battles
-more mayor glimpses to other games so we can get a clue to where in the timeline are we
-return of ganondorf as ganondorf ganondorf, and get to know where the calimity was born, you know all that malice stuff
@Meme Man heart pieces are in botw
I have one problem with your idea the timeline thing in my opinion they should just scrap it, it's to confusing and it famously doesnt make any sense
@Meme Man a heart peice shows up when you get 4 spirit only thing that's changed is you find them in the wild
The Shiekah Slate is pretty much just a fancy iPad, it's got like a Notes app and shit
Also yes, return of human Ganondorf, and for gods' sake Nintendo GIVE HIM VOICE ACTING, YOU MISSED SUCH AN OPPORTUNITY
If we do get the Minish, I hope it's actually the minish. The race they showed was a bit mediocre imo. Too big too.
Ricky yes. I want tiny bug sized villages that we need to shrink to interact with
It’s actually pretty close to Minish Cap; I compared Link’s sprites in the game normally and while shrunken-and looking at the screenshot from BOTW, the sizes are comparable if you were to scale up those sprites to the size of the characters in BOTW.
The new Picori are bigger of course, but they have to be, or else people might miss them in BOTW’s huge map.
POOR LINK, I NEED HIM TO SEE HIS FAMILY
But he's Link, because he's Link he doesn't get to 😥
Yup
Oh man i would love to see Links family added to the sequel. I Imagine it as a multi stage side quest about discovering what happened to them after Calamity Ganon's attack 100 years ago. Trying to piece together where they might have went, and recalling his relationships with them now that his memory has returned. Ending with Link reuniting with his long lost sister who is now a much more aged women similar to Impa. That could add a ton of emotion to the story and some much needed character development for Link himself.
It says 家族 on top of the picture which literally means "family", so yeah, it's definitely a family picture.
Thank you shin!
Imagine kilton seling cooler stuff and link finding a picture of his father
That would be cool and also hit right in the feels. Also what’s the theme playing at 6:04?
That idea about Link's family really is heartbreaking. I just imagine a scene where Link returns to his old house and examines a family portrait or something, and regains memories of his family in the same manner that he regains memories of the champions and Zelda. Then it cuts to black, and we return back to the present with Link exiting the house and wiping his eyes, or something subtle like that. That would be a really nice touch of humanity for him.
... that is really heartbreaking...
I always wanted to know what ever happened to Link’s family during the Calamity. And when the Ritos started calling Link “his descendant”, it build my curiosity if Link has any distant relatives 100 years later. Maybe there's a possibility that his sister survived the Great Calamity and made a family of her own at some point a decade or two later.
What Her? Link is a He but yeah If Links' sister did have Children Yeah it should be a main quest called Childhood Memories
I have an idea for the scrap link’s family idea maybe the sister and maybe the father too survive the great calamity and the sister married someone to have a child.100 years later link wakes up and as a side quest you get to find the descendants of links original family. (It’s an idea I just come up while watching this video)
It would add so much emotion and character development to Link if at the end of the quest he reunites with his sister, now a much more aged grandmother.
@@facepwnagewtf Ooooh that would absolutely break my heart!
@@facepwnagewtf It could be a chance to introduce Linkle as her granddaughter. Incidently, I hope crossbows are in the sequel too.
Silver Strider413 I thought they said he died?
Well.. the memories in BOTW are all about Link's relationship with the other champions, I would love to see some kind of memories in regard of Link's origins and family in the sequel, because he surely doesn't remember all of that. And what impact would it be if we learn about his father and other members of his family, especially a younger brother or sister, hope we see more of Link's thoughts in regard of his family and relationship with others instead of staying back to "allow the player to feel being the hero".
i would love that... i want to know so much about link, and maybe how much he cared about his sister, father, (and maybe mom)
A mega fortress like guardian sounds HORRIFYING
and I wanna see it!!!
I saw another comment above that said "what if the guardian is the thing the castle is sitting on top of" and I just thought "what if the giant fortress guardian is actually a dungeon." It would fit the "living dungeon" Divine Beast narrative, and it would also allow for zombie Ganondorf (rehydrated or otherwise) to be the BBEG.
Links childhood and family is one thing I kind of felt missing from his memories you recover. The memories you get only covers his time as Zelda's appointed knight and as a champion. But what about before all that? aren't his childhood memories important as well? It would've been nice to discover hidden memories of his childhood that doesn't have a picture to show where they are located but only hinted through some clues to hint to where they are like maybe some journals or diary from his parents or siblings hidden in some house ruins that tell a bit of his life as a kid growing up and mentions places where these childhood memories is located. That could make searching for memories more meaningful
True i wanna see Young Link Memories
Man, I'm so hyped for more Botw 2 information. My guess is at the game awards more will be shown. As always, I love your theories Zeltik, keep up the great work.
Oh man, imagine a new trailer at the Game Awards... holy shit
I hope we get a title soon so we dont need to be calling it botw2
@Sofie Gullberg the name will change, 100%
Soooo are we all disappeared?
You’re the best Zelda theory youtuber
True
[TS] Zylander not just the best the most awesome
without a doubt
[TS] Zylander I never pictured UA-camr as two separate words. you've shined a new light upon my brain
its youtuber but its ok everyone does mistakes😊
I was thinking about how the luminous stone's glow was basically souls glowing from inside the stones and i thought about how link's arm was covered with this same green energy. Then i had a thought. What if that green power allowed link to look into the memories of the souls inside the stones? If we assume the mines of luminous stone are below hyrule castle, what if we got to see the great calamity attack hyrule castle and castle town in much greater detail through the memories of the dead?
That sounds both AWESOME yet CREEPY at the same time. 🤔😁😱
Jeez, that'd be extremely dark! Especially if you could actually use those to relive the very last minutes of life people had left before they died during the Calamity...
New Rune: Mask of Truth
Added thing for the family idea - the Kanji above the picture says "family" in Japanese I believe :)
yup!
Yessss duolingo Japanese is finally paying off!
Yacoma thank you! 😄
It does.
Link finding the graves of his family...imagine it all just setting in all at once.
Having Link actually show that crushing survivor's guilt and have to deal with it would be a really incredible insight into his mental health. Imagine he battles with that guilt and we see it during strategic points in the game (like right after an important boss fight) and it just gets him down, but by the end of the game he's realized that what happened wasn't his fault, and he ends up healing from it and just letting the trauma fuel his anger towards Ganon, like "how dare you tear my life apart" kinda rage. That would be fucking awesome if Link just savagely beats the shit out of Ganon at the end of the game just because he's been through so much hell and at that point he's just so pissed off and done with his shit.
Consider: At some point in BotW2 Link finds an elderly woman. Bedridden due to being like 108 or so years old. This elder is his younger sister, and this is what opens up the memories of his childhood with her and their father.
I really want them to bring back Sidon in Botw 2. He was such a fun character and I’d love to see him interact with Link more. Maybe even join Zelda and Link on a few of their adventures
pretty every ssuccessor is obviously coming back as a champion
If Link met his sister/her descendants, that would mean she survived the Calamity, so that would be suuuuuper bittersweet. It’s heartbreaking to think that Link and Zelda probably had to RUN PAST his home during the Calamity, and he couldn’t stop to help. He chose Zelda, whether through duty or love or a sense that she was the best shot for Hyrule.
Great job guys! Really enjoyed this and there is definitely some good shouts in here, my favourite being Link's Family, I'm hoping to do a video covering them sometime soon!
Nice one!
I like to imagine that after the defeat of Calamity Ganon that some people move back toward Hyrule castle to try and reclaim the area, so maybe the great hall gets opened up during efforts to clear rubble. would be cool to see some trying to rebuild Castle Town at least.
Not to mention there's the Guardian deployment system under Hyrule castle, so maybe we'll get to see that too.
Zeltik: "[...] such as the ability to climb nearly every surface in the game."
Rain: Let me introduce my self.
I really hope we learn more about Link’s family & explore him as a character in general in the sequel.
Also, if his family DID manage to survive the calamity, they would have lived out the rest of their lives thinking Link was killed. (assuming word didn’t get around about the shrine of resurrection.) Then, by the time Link wakes up 100 years later, he wouldn’t even remember his family, nor be able to mourn their deaths properly. Just living with the knowledge that he did once have family members that are long-forgotten strangers to him now. :(
I wonder if you will be able to Meet Link's sister's grandchildren in Botw 2
I'm not ready for that
Omg imagine them saying “great uncle link!!!”
I'd rather find a diary entry from her, maybe when Link reads it he can have a unique distressed animation and the screen fades to black if it's day time when the screen fades back to gameplay it will be night time after reading it, and vice versa.
That Minish you can see in the picture is actually one of the kids that lives in Skyloft in skyward sword.
I unknowingly skipped all that stuff in Hyrule Castle and beat the game. No wonder it felt anti-climactic. I need to go back now.
Pooooooooooooooooopppp
There's really just so much they could add! those last few ideas sounded so cool to include! Like imagine a divine beast sized guardian roaming akkala! It could have been the 5th dungeon (not counting the castle) and you could have climbed up the legs! Or that alternate glider, you could maybe craft/buy/achieve them and they could have different attributes!
I WANT THE MASTERSWORD TO HAVE ITS OWN SPECIAL MOVESET WHEN YOU DONT USE A SHIELD. Just like how link is depicted doing all these great feats, and he doesnt even have a shield.
Once I saw the memory for Link’s knighting ceremony, I assumed that Link’s father died protecting a young Zelda, hence why she see’s Link as symbol of her “personal failure.”
Getting the father of someone you either knew or met afterwards killed could make you feel rather responsible for them.
I would love it if the Minish became a mainstay race like the Rito just did
With a fun sized champion
@@fezlsezl the Minish champion is just Ezlo
I would LOVE to see BOTW2 explore Links past more!
SAME! I hope we get the explore more of his memories the same way we did now
If they include memories of his family, or even his family's descendents, that would be a neat progression of information. First it started with telling you how much of an impact his father had on him, now it tells you about his sister and shows you the memories he has of them, like maybe he had forgotten them and needs to remember them again to go back to being the person he was before his amnesia (if he changed at all).
I just wanna see dark nuts make a comeback as enemies in the sequel.
William E same with the minish cap ones you just roll around them and spam
Dweisparce imagine link doing a flurry rush on em
Why not the Iron Knuckles? Those things used to hit almost as hard as a Linel and protected ancient locations, so it makes a touch more sense imho.
And Iron Knuckles
Maybe. The new glider has link laying down under it hanging on like aang from avatar the last air bender for better control
cool idea
underrated comment also
I would really like to see link get some actual character development for once. He probably did have family, but he would've forgotten about them right? The after credits scene mentions a bunch of painful memories, and perhaps they will elaborate on this in the sequel. Imagine being reminded about the forgotten deaths of all of your family and close friends. That would be sad.
You had to put the sad ww music come on bruh cried when i was seven playing ww hearing the music
Æ æ same I was 7-8 at the time and that music still makes me sad even now
I would like for Nintendo to include something about Link's family in Breath of the Wild 2.
Link's memory of the family before he becomes the knight of the royal family and the champions of Hyrule would be a great idea to know his backstory of it during the game of the sequel. Plus the glider that the made for the concept would be also a great idea to give Link an upgrade in the sequel too.
I had an idea for a bigger Guardian variant like a "Hive." Like it'd b slower, potentially no offensive abilities on it's own, but it'd have any number within a handful of scouts fixed into slots. I would hesitate to do more than 3 or 4 on a single "mother Guardian" if they're a somewhat common. With the "level" of the "Scout Hive" playing into how many and how strong of scouts there'd b.
I also had the idea of some engineer/scientist Minish living inside the Shiekah Slate. The idea came to me from the scrapped Shiekah Slate "drone" concept. Like what if it was a tiny ship the the engineer Minish flew for Link...or Zelda or whoever was using it. I think the idea of a Minish helping cause trouble and conceptually unlocking new functionality within the Shiekah Slate would b pretty cool.
I really hope glitched like the flying minecart and guardian spaceship are there, they were so fun and I hope to see them again in this new sequel :D
Considering the developers were really impressed by this glitch and kept it is as a reward for the creative thinking, since it's difficult to pull off but rewarding
or what if they became mechanics?
@Roger Loe fingers crossed
You know what would be cool? Being able to play what happened to Link when Ganon took over but like as a nightmare if that makes sense? Like, botw focused a lot on memory collecting but what if now Link is plagued with nightmares from the past? Probably won't make sense, but I still thought it would be a cool idea.
I like how there's just a big turn in the vid like..by the time link has awaken, his family would be long dead.....Now let's talk about customizing gliders!
The picture that shows Link's family literally has the Kanji "family" on that.
I would really like to see more of links past memories. I would like to see memories from before him becoming a knight. Then it could add some to the more dark theme of the game by having him remember all these things from so long ago. It would be great to see some of these memories negatively affect links mood/ attitude.
I wonder if the whole minish portals would still exist
it would because of from the groundup link chopped down so many trees
I think it would be cool is when links eats the food he cooks you could actually see it when he eats the food and definitely bring back traditional temples
8:47 WAIT WHAT i never knew you could hang pictures in your house??!
Theres only one picture you can hang and it's from the champions ballad dlc pack
Only one. My fav thing from the DLC. It’s such a sweet scene.
The mega guardians would have been a cool idea if they were to make them inactive at first, half buried into the ground. Their body would comprise of a mini-dungeon, ending with Link climbing to the top of it. There, he'd press a button and the guardian would reawaken and Link would have to kill it using the knowledge he gained by traversing its body mere moments ago.
8:25 Y'all are focusing on the family but I can't stop looking at that chicken suit on the left.
Yup
that would make an amazing outfit
Just looking at the family image again, the concept art of Link’s father bears a resemblance to an older Alfonzo. The pose and bandana are the two biggest clues
I’d rlly love to see those creepy horror-esque behemoths that were intended to be the guardians in the sequel. It would fit well with the supposed darker tones that the sequel will have :3
Imagine if the newly announced Prequel to The legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, will feature Link's family.
The feels!
If the picori would be included, it'd be cool if (when link is picori sized) you'd be able to ride birds or squirrels
I'm gonna be 20 in december.
I'll never see half the dialogue in The Minish Cap again...
Damn creating something from nothing (links silence) could really be a precursor to how his character developed during and before the games events
Miphas diary details this even further saying that Link in his young days was expressive full of life and energy but once he was chose he changed
Maybe the mega-Guardian wasn't added due to collision or pathing issues. I mean how would it react to the environment and how could they make it fit into areas where there are alot of hills, walls, rocks, enemies, etc. I mean they could habe stuff it into the desert if anywhere like an enemy being awakened from the depths of its inanimate slumber that Link has to stop from destroying the Gerudo Village or something. Lol idk though
Does anyone else actually want a segment of the game where you play as Ganon?
Maybe dlc a alternative timeline where you play as ganon and defeat link
Can't say I do personally
Lol like super mario oddessy
No, not really. I dont see the appeal in that
Nah. Don't want to play as Zelda either. Nothing wrong with more options though
Link's dad was a member of the royal guard so he would've died while trying to protect the king. That would've made for a good memory. When things went bad, we could've seen his father and the king ordering Link and Zelda to try to get somewhere safe after a quick but heartfelt goodbye. You wouldn't actually see them die but you know they are about to.
Regarding link's family, we dont know how much memories link has regained. It was clear at the beginning that link remembers nothing, but exactly how much does he now know of his past. maybe they could add a larger side-quest of regaining his full memories, and possibly finding the descendants of his sister, gaining a family again. they would likely be one of the few hylian family who would know as much about the goings of the calamity as impa and the sheikah. if past iterations are an indication, link deeply loves his family, and would go to the ends of the earth for them, I wouldn't doubt that the wild's link would care just as deeply for distant relatives just as much.
Im hoping for some heartwarming moments with Zelda recalling memories and such. Or with other NPCs! I just figure they might be hanging out more than other NPCs.
Link surely hasn't remembered everything he can. Now that the crucial memories involving the Calamity, Zelda, and the Champions have been recovered, I hope the 2nd game focuses on more sentimental memories that can help build the character of BOTW and the intimacies of all of his friendships.
I can read Japanese and above the picture of him and his family, it literally says "family" in Japanese.
A compelling side story for the sequel (and a good purpose for adding lands further than hyrule) could be a potential reunion with his sister (at least, assuming his father died defending the castle). I remember vaguely that people from hateno are the remnants of refugees that ran away as far as possible from the castle. Well that’s not the only direction convoys could have headed, maybe his sister was sent in one of there caravans to a distant land, and a great and compelling side quest could be traveling to lands beyond hyrule in search for her through rumors.
I ALMOST CRIED!! not only is it posible that that concept art was intended to be Link's family, THE KANJI ON TOP OF THE PICTURE IS "KAZOKU" (family)
Hey Zeltik I got a theory I would like you to look into Revoli is always going on about how link is only a Champion because he drew the sword so if he was the hero why struggle to redraw the blade what if like in wind waker someone that is not the chosen one can draw the sword but they are tested when you draw the MS you loss health why?
What if the one who try's to draw the blade is forced to relive all the past heros hardest fights aswell as their deaths as a way to test their courage to see and know the pain suffering and loneliness that comes with wielding the blade that's why you need so many hearts to draw the blade what if the hearts aren't life but courage
YEAH when you had to get the memory of the fountain area with the guardians around them You GOT THE MEMORY AND THEN GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE!
Or, just shoot at them with an ancient arrow, or parry their laser thrice
@@a.liguria2698 True BUT I FOUND THE parry mechanic hard to do and quite often this was the memory I NEEDED TO GET THE CHAMPION'S SHIRT AT THE BEGINNING SO I DIDN'T HAVE ANY ANCIENT ARROWS~
@@davidfitzpatrick4254 just get the one near The Flower Shrine
@@fristlystupidcraft5362 True we were all idiots eh?
@zeltink good news. you are absolutely right in the ilustration that shows link and those two people, the kanji above them read "Kazoku" which means "family"
I think that maybe hyrule castle rising might be the mega guardian, where it is a giant guardian with a castle in its back.
7:57 - in the Sepia image you show, you can see the Japanese word 家族, meaning "family". So no ambiguities about who those people were meant to be ...
Besides traditional dungeons, I want to see more variety in enemy and boss designs.
i think it’d be pretty neat to add some old mechanics to the game. mostly diving and actual fishing. but i think, going off the glider idea, they could add gliders that have different functions outside of gliding. like one is optimized for speed, one for long distances, maybe even one with lasers on it to attack enemies in the air!! it could really spice things up and make you think about which one you need equipped before jumping off
I think it would be awesome to revisit some of the Zelda series greatest dungeons. I personally would love to see a revisit to a ruined water or spirit temple from OOT, or perhaps a haunted revision of spectacle rock from the original Zelda game. Something that would bring up the seven sages, being that there are already 4 botw champions, 3 of them can be descendents plus Zelda, three dungeons would be a good number, imo.
New mastercycles with new designs and abilities would be really cool to have
William E Considering that MonolithSoft had codeveloped BoTW, I’d love to see Link using Xenoblade weapons. Be even cooler, albeit tricky to program would be if Link got different attack animations when using said weapons.
Maybe they could add even more vehicle runes! Like a Car! Imagine this, a Link mobile! It would be able to turn into a tank and be used for 90% of the game! Or we could give him a jet and have him fly through rings!
In all seriousness I would honestly love for Nintendo to make more uses of ideas for Link to transport himself in Hyrule. Not just by horse or motorcycle but maybe even aerial forms of transport outside just gliding (maybe make the return of Loftwings or at least a Sheikah technology variant of them).
