@@detectif1061 imagine thinking one good season from kalen deboer means he is the next nick saban which had a team of players that he didnt even recruit at washington not counting those wins at those lower level schools
I drove 5 hours to watch this game at the Rose Bowl. One of the best days for a college football fan. The Bama fans were respectful the Texas fans not so much.
We got so close to Alabama & Texas in the national title game this season. Unfortunately both got taken out in the playoffs. That being said, in an alternate universe both Bama and Texas did make the national title game this season. Not only that but Alabama wins, plus Nick Saban still retires. He would have came into Bama winning the natty and leaving Bama winning the natty, against the same team, Texas. That’s what could have been, we got so close to that, that’s how it should have happened.
The birth of a dynasty and we had to get through that dynasty to win the first playoff and he won his last championship by destroying us it not going to be the same without Nick he was the big boss , the last video game boss , the old man who doesn't give you the candy you want but instead give you butterscotch candy just to shut you up
It's no mystery or conspiracy why those 2 teams were put in over FSU. No assumptions needed: #1. Loss of starting QB. #2. Scored 16 pts vs #14 Louisville #3. Strenth of schedule 55 vs 5 ...FSU were left out for the same reason 13-0 Liberty was left out. The bowl games were a reflection of that in both cases.
Nah it’s cuz of favoritism, first of all if fsu went in they would’ve been absolutely obliterated by any team they went up against. Bama deserved it more for sure. College football isn’t scripted of made up, if anything is it’s nfl football thats rigged.
Alabama was only up 24-21 with 3 minutes left against a true freshman QB and Texas had the ball. Also, Saban is 0-1 vs healthy Texas QB’s that have played the full game.
Texas was gonna beat bama starting in 2023 several times even if Saban was still gonna be there but now that he gone we might not see bama beat an elite team ever in most of our lifetimes.
That’s not it. First, there is more pride in college football as opposed to the NFL. That is one reason. The southern states are also better at football for a number of reasons which causes the southern schools to get the best talent. This causes a cycle of good players to gravitate towards the southern schools when being recruiting. If all of the other schools could catch up, other parts of the country would care more for college football. USC, ND, Michigan, and OSU are all teams not located in the south that are very popular within their region of the country whenever these teams are good. The issue with other parts of the country is that they are fair weather college football fans. They only care if their team wins. Look at Michigan. Their fans only started caring when they became a good team. No one was screaming “Go Blue” when they had Brady Hoke or Rich Rodriguez. It’s the way college football is. Do not be upset just because the south is better at something than others. It only makes you look feeble minded and petty.
@staygoldpunnyboy It's a school why would a National League team fail there when it can use that school as an academy after the draft picks of course...your system seems mad in ways but do love the draft system gives the weakest players the best pick of next year's college players...

This hurt so many people remember this is Texas last time playing in a National Championship.
Wish I could go back in time and re live this inspirational run Saban had. We was so spoiled as Alabama fans.
I remember watching this live, I was 11 years old at the time. Had no idea I was watching the beginning of the greatest dynasty in CFB history.
I was 19 and having the best party time of my life. Saints won the superbowl this year too. Good times
Nick saban and his career needs to be studied for generations to come.
Nick Saban: this is not the end, this is only the beginning.
The beginning of a Dynasty for Alabama Football
Yep, what a ride it was! Roll Tide 🌊

Nick Saban always finished his story
Yes he has🏈

I was 10 years old man this was the beginning of the greatest dynasty ever
can almost sense it in his voice & demeanor that he’s like “can we get this over with, I have a dynasty to build, & I got recruits to call…”
The Crystal Ball is so much cooler than whatever they’ve been using the past 10 years or so
They still get the crystal football
but its so small, it would be more right to make it bigger
I know, right? It looks like a giant lipstick container or something!
This trophy is so legendary and should still be the same.
The sad part was seeing McCoy go down early with that injury.
They still give it out (The Coaches Trophy)
Watched this at 29 palms 😂
I can feel Paul finebaum’s tears in this video ESPN, well done
I was a Young 20 Year Old Student

Im really happy about this....texas=trash and they'll get many years of beatdowns in the SEC

Actually Nick Saban's first national championship came when he coached the LSU tigers which came prior to Alabama.
The dynasty started after this I remember this
I think everyone knows this game would have been different or at least a lot closer if Colt didn’t get hurt

It’s almost like the analyst & everyone else didn’t know how to feel about Bama winning it
Saban started his career with beating Texas and end his career loosing to Texas.
No he didn't. He ended it losing it to Michigan. Washington is who played Texas.
Julio jones is still in the nfl! lol
And he got his career ended by two 5 stars in the rose bowl
Easy to win when you cheat the game 😂
I hope Saban sends a fat thank you paycheck to McCoy someday.
It wasn’t Saban’s fault that McCoy was a puss boy.
If Colt McCoy doesn't get hurt I think Texas wins

Colt McCoy going down in this game cost Texas the NC

Why is there a delay in the commentators?
Alabama got away with one that’s for sure. That would have been colt and Mac holding that trophy.
Still can't get over how school football is so big...I take it has to do with some southern states do not have any NFL team....Roll tide????
Even if Alabama had a pro team it would fail because college football is so popular here.
I dont think that's it. There are NFL teams in GA, LA, TN, TX, FL, and NC. That's (9) teams among those six states right there.
