So glad you are open-minded towards the black suit. Many say it is a no-no, which I totally disagree with. I love the black suit and wear it the majority of time. Having dark hair it works at least for me. I don't understand why some sartorial people dismiss the black suit under all circumstances as if this was some dogma or higher truth...
My current go-to shirt with a black suit is a white twill that's got a classic tattersall pattern in black. Really allows for a formal and classic look, but with a little more style, without being ostentatious.
I live in Japan. Black is required for funerals. Summers are hot and humid. Winters are cold with light snowfall. I own a lightweight wool single breasted with peak lapel for summer. For winter, a wool cashmere blend double breasted. Unfortunately, at my age, I am wearing them more and more often.
Colin Farrell would look good in a hessian sack! Black doesn’t look good on me! It drains colour from the complexion & makes me look washed out (even with a tan). As a result my dinner jacket colour choice is midnight blue!

My tailor actually refused to make me black suit. He is totally against them. I know it gets worn badly by so many but black is cool when done right.
@@ForTheLoveOfSuits Thanks for having an open mind, that's very encouraging to hear, i.e. a nuanced, differentiating view.

Farrell looks very handsome. ( a female's point of view) I'm learning so much about men's clothing styles. Thank you!
That's great. Always great to hear a woman's point of view. Glad you're enjoying it.
You should do signature style video to the black only suits of John Wick

Im dressing a navy blue pinstripe double breasted suit as my daily driver/signature style
Fabric looks dark charcoal grey instead of black.
Why does it sound like Collin Ferral is narrating 😂
Haha. I'll take it as a compliment.
He can beat humphrey bogart style of his suit

Nice choice. Dark blue suits me too. Must be a good alternative for us low contrast guys.
Nose ring lady makes me not want to watch a otherwise interesting series.
