Right at the end you reminded me how much I've grown to dislike bright red ties. Even when you asked your viewers to state which of Irons's final two suits you preferred, I was so distracted by the tie I didn't notice his suit at all.

As someone knowledgeable about suit style, you may have insight into this: I don't understand the need for or the interest some have in ticket pockets. I don't see what could be put in them that couldn't be put into a regular jacket side pocket or into an inside jacket pocket or pants pocket. A ticket pocket also interrupts the flow of the line from jacket to pants. In any case, I enjoy your videos.

In that alleged Armani pinstripe suit, the buttoning point is so low, maybe even past the belly button. What do you think of that lower buttoning point? Along with the lower gorge, it creates a distinctly 1980s louche look.

Brosnan was the last real James Bond

I love a paisley tie. But paisley is so powerful a pattern, that it really only works with a solid (or near solid) color shirt. (Just checked my tie racks. I found a silver on black paisley tie I wore with a black shirt and a black suit)

In the Brosnan era James Bond regained lost popularity, but at the same time became mostly action focused movies and ads for international fashion, watches and cars. And in some countries, probably guns as well.

I own about 35 neckties. Only one of them contains a very subtle paisley design . I haven’t worn it yet. In fact, I almost gave it away. But after watching your video, I will consider wearing it at some point in the future. Funny that you mentioned James Bond because his choice of neckties has really influenced my choices. When Sean Connery played the role of James Bond, he mostly wore solid dark color ties that were knitted. Roger Moore introduced dark ties with stripes. Because of that, I tend to associate those two types of ties as being the most masculine looking. Some people consider them to be boring. If that’s “boring,” then yes, I like boring. I see paisley designs as a softer, more playful, fun, young and artsy looking design. Of course, these are not hard rules. But that’s how I see it.

There is this show called 'Ballers' . When you have the time you should really check out the suits worn by Dwayne Johnson throughout the show.

A BMW is a nice car. But it seems so common and ordinary compared to the Aston Martin. PS In my opinion, after Sean Connery left, the Bond franchise struggled with finding a suitable replacement until Daniel Craig showed up. Between Connery and Craig, there seemed to be a slew of pretty boys.

I was a bit upset that Bond got the BMW over my Aston Martin… but I guess they had to since BMW was a big sponsor

The suits of Marks and Spencer are not pure wool suits, as James Bond would wear. M&S suits are mostly polyester.

I’m OK with a DB jacket worn open only if it’s one piece of a two-piece suit showing off some decent paddled suspenders under it _a.l.a._ Leslie Odom Jr.’s look in _Glass Onion,_ especially if the trousers’ pleats are tailored their correct reverse pleats form 👍

Just checked out Herring shoes, unfortunately most are made overseas; India, Turkey, Portugal. I only saw shoes costing £900+ made in Britain.

Always an interesting perspective, much appreciated. IMHO , apart from the obvious non-British items you mention which are unfortunate if you're a stickler for detail, I believe Brosnan was just too 'pretty' in his younger years and Brioni made him even more runway model like for an operative. I would even say Brosnan started to look a bit 'stiff' in his suits which we all know morphed into Craig's stuffed sausage look unfortunately. I wish they could have taken a page out of Patrick McGoohan 's look in Danger Man from the 60s with a slight tweak to update the look but remain fluid like a conduit cut suit!? I digress....enough LOL.

Well Sir Connery was Scottish, Lazenby was Australian, Dalton was born in Wales, Brosnan was Irish, so the only real English Gentlemen were Sir Moore and Craig.

The Herring shoes you are referring to in the video are made in Portugal though. I think Cheaney is a great alternative to Church's (I own several pairs of both brands) as Jonathan and William Church bought the company Cheaney after Prada bought Church's.

Craig was actually the worst dressed Bond when he was wearing suits, he looked so silly with thin legs and badly looking suit. Connery and Brosnan are the greatest dressed ever.

Brosnan wore a 41mm Seamaster in Goldeneye. Not 42mm. It didn’t increase in size until 2018. 🤦🏻
