The big metal is off a heavy horse collar called a braffin and it went over their heads and rested on their shoulders Maria was more right the hoop end points upwards and the long reins went through them to the carriage driver, the other horse piece is a spur which fits onto the back of the riders boot at the heel the tiny little wheel wheel is missing on the pointy end,
the leather strap would go under the boot just in front of the heel and fasten across the front of the boot.
Great finds as always.
Thanks June x
Hi Marie thank you for showing the church. x
Thanks Anna x
The metal item for horses is called a Hame (aka Haines), they went on the collar which hung around neck near shoulders. Used by heavy Horses (Shires, Clydesdales etc) for pulling wagons, canal boats etc. If you google horse collar or Hames should find item.
Thanks Rosalie x
Cool fined
That looks like a Lea Troy ounce weight that goes on a set of scales
Love the key Glenn found and the lick steve found. Love the boat plaques❤. Those sculptures were so beautiful
Thanks Real Deal x
Love the old one penny..... have a few myself. Great piece
Marie thank you for saying some thing about Glenn's new tattoo. I had noticed it and asked my husband about it this is Peggy by the way, I noticed he had a new tattoo. I did gymnastics in the living room trying to contort myself to read it and couldn't. It's a beautiful sentiment to say family because it sure is important. Tell Glenn I said good job! Looking forward to getting my river Thames plaque because I know I'm gonna win one! My family is originally from England a few centuries ago L O L. Look up John Hawkins. Captain John Hawkins. Love to you both.
Thanks Thomas x
You all are so awesome. Thank you for all the videos of where you are. I get to see the beautiful places I can't travel to. Love to you all Peakys.
Marie, I have mentioned this before, your editing is so professional, would love to know the name of song and singer, the music you find is so beautiful and meaningful. This song I can relate to, been a fighter not by choice, most of my life, taking something positive out of it. I use what I have learned, to help others as a Social Worker and advocate for the vulnerable, elderly, children and the disabled. We need to respect one another, showing kindness, while guiding and helping others that cannot do it for themselves, nothing more rewarding. Rusty what a find, colt revolver, how exciting to find items like this

That "horse" item is known as a hame. They are used in pairs with a horse collar for draught horses.
Lae's was I believe also a very old recorder..... sure I remember seeing it at an auction site years ago
I love the boat plaques and the old keys. The boat plaques I like to guess what boat theyre from, and the keys, I love wondering what lock they're from. I think that horse item is what's used to attach the horse to a cart
Thank you Marie for sharing the history of the church. Beautiful job and the choice of song was most appropriate. I don’t always understand what is being said but it’s not hard to understand the fun, friendship, laughter and commitment to history and cleaning up your waters. Best wishes from Indiana, USA.
Thanks Lynn x
lynn - turn on the CC and read what you can't understand. If you want :)
Besides shoes, I found a Lea's Patent Antique Recorder, I assume a recording machine. That's all I could find. Nice~ great show!
Wow Awesome find's Rusty
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your spanner is called a podger its for aligning holes on steel girders
The thing with the hole in the end that resembles the bottom of a shell almost looks like a giant breach plug out of an in line muzzleloader almost
The big bar with the ball on the end was Tack for yoked draft horse
Well done Steve 👍
Great work Rusty for giving away the boat plaque
That part of a harness fora horse theirs one one each side, goes around the collar. Great finds guys. Loved your video, and they metal thing is part of a spur.
I think the horse harness piece could be a hames. which is part of the harness for a draught horse - one that pulls a waggon or similar,
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing this with us all it’s fascinating. Can’t wait to see what comes out. Have great weekend 😊
to block the magnets on a metal plate, try unblocking them with a cooking grid style grill
It's off the neck peace for a horse drawn cart. There is one either side of the leather collar
A brilliant video guys. I so love watching you all get some great finds and have such a laugh. Beautifully composed video Marie and wow what a great end of the day for Rusty 👏👏👏

Might check Lea Recorder Company for you Lea's Patent Just a guess. and your equine piece is probably from plow tack, or team tack.
The bridge you fished from next to All Saints Church both appear in an episode of the latest tv drama series Great Expectations.
Me and my wife are mudlarkers, we get to the Thames foreshore about once every two weeks. We live in high Wycombe and know the places like reading, cookham and Marlow where you went fishing, FFS we wish we knew when you were there!
Great vids guys, great job guys. Keep on keeping on! ( even though I need an interpreter to understand you) 🤣 well done ,👊
Terry ,
We'll be back down there as soon as the weather is good.
Lovely places to magnet fish
@@PeakyDippers please let me know when you guys are this way again, thanks
Great video just love you guys hope rustys back is better take care x
Thanks Susan x
Sculpture beautiful 🤗
I have dug up some of those Horse things in the past they are called Hames and there would be a pair of them, some were covered in a skin of Brass and would be polished up along with the Brasses and was part of the arrangement to the sides of the Cart Horse, the Stirrup looking thing is, i believe, a Spur which would have strapped across the Instep of a Boot and, sorry about this, the front of a Coin is the Obverse which shows the Head, the reverse would be the back....be lucky!
Thanks pointyfinger x
Beautiful photography Marie
Thanks Whiskey x
Marie, could that unusual nail at 12:19 be used to upholster the coffins buried in the background? At 18:50 looks like half of a neck harness for a small horse. There would have been two of them, one for each side.
Keep it up nice finds !!
Thank you x
Take the blank boat plaques and paint your logo on it with a date. Use as give - aways.
You go Rusty, how do enter content? I love Pecky Dippers, and all of you! Look forward to the mag fishing every week.❤
If you come on the live on Sunday and comment you'll get entered but any comments after the live don't count. We normally go live about 3pm uk time. Hope this helps. 👍
Thanks so much 😊
grolsch still use they same bottle tops
It's part of the harness for drought horses
Thanks Alan x

Contact the Amish about that horse bar thing I'm sure they would know.
Steve , That's a nice find , Are you aloud to keep that colt for your collection
No unfortunately any gun in the uk has to be handed in , even bullets. Xx
Insane find's Peaky Dippers
Thanks Eric x
Your Welcome Marie💖😃
Marie, your history moment was delightful, as always. I love that style of church, and the modern upgrades are not intrusive.
It was lovely of Rusty to present the young girl with the boat plaque. I'm sure she won't forget that any time soon, and I hope you've gained a new recruit.
That Lea’s patent thing you found. Could it be to do with a Lea’s Patent Recorder ?
Marie- at 19:48 that is part of a set of horse harness, a hame. Used on draft horses or mules to pull a wagon or cart. Not part of a bridle. IIRC. Nice old spur Glen. I do not believe it is a stirrup. Wrong shape.
Thanks FK x
Marie how the hell did they build that beautiful church with the gear that they would have had back in the day they had to be very intelligent people to work it out
Amazing isn't it. X
Hello I love to watch your videos. I think the piece that you were showing that has to do with the horse is part of the attack for when you have like a pair of them that pull a wagon. I'm not sure though Just an idea. Take care stay safe and God
Peakys 👋
Hi Magnetic Karl x
Hi Marie and Glenn!
Hi Thomas x
It looks like a printing plate for a letterpress printing press
looks like it could be part of the horse cart does the bar not straddle the horse the hoop is for tying the horse to the kart my guess lol
Could "Lea's Patent" be something from the Lea Recorder Co Ltd Manchester ?
Was just going to comment the same. They made scientific recording equipment.
Marie that horse thing is out of the collar of a horse gear
Thanks Helen x
pour les aimant bloquer sur une plaque metalique essayez de debloquer avec une grille style grille de cuisson
I will have to learn how to spell its draught horse
I think rusty is nice!! Love watching peeky dippers x
Thanks Barb x
Just caught the last few minutes will watch it back later 🥰
just found a 1910 thames boat badgeon caversham bridge but no clue what to do with it
the gun Rusty found, if it is clean up carefully, you may be able trace the history by the serial numbers.
are there any laws that would cause a whole lot of trouble, for him.
if it was cleaned up, to near or to working condition.
If you had two of those horse thingo's is a type of bridle the reins go through the rings back to the driver and to the horses bit mouth piece usually for a work horse and cart to get a better idea of what it is check out horse and cart rigs you'll find it. Hope that's a point in the right direction . Cheers Mates 👍👍👍😎💨🏴☠☮☮🌈☕☕💡🔧
Thanks Tim x
Colt 45
Look like old heal for shoe boot number 1 could be old size
Hallo met erik uit Utrecht is top video gr Erik 👍❤💋🇱🇺💋❤👍
Marie isn’t your Mr Peaky just the best looking man sitting there in his white shirt? You are one lucky girl!
Thanks Diane x
I think the LEA’S Patent is a weight to measure Yarn.
Thanks Richard x
That looked like a spur?
Marie instead of a nail do you think it could have been a hair pin it looked way to thin to hammer on and to long to be a tack so I was thinking hair pin there's usually 2 of them and a piece of leather.
Thanks Mabron x
🤗❤️
The metal thing you were holding had got nothing to do with the horses bridle on his face, more likely to do with harness or driving shaft on a cart/wagon I think, also, you were holding the spur which is worn on your heel when riding.
Aw wish I knew about the raffle I missed it 😞
Was it a "Water Bed?"
Could be off a “the lea recorder co ltd mancester
Hey guys I loved your video as always I am from Valdosta Georgia a long ways away from you what I want to ask if you guys have stickers or little trinkets you can send to people with your logo on it I would love to have one if you can send it to me
That has nothing to do with a horses bridle! I used to ride and teach riding many years ago.
It's a carriage rig
Steve your new girl is definitely steady, you could say a permanent fixture in your life!!!
🤣🤣
Defo a Horse Yoke.
japan ktaibaraki masahro hyoudou GOOT REAK
Hi all ❤❤
Penny 1919
That has nothing to do with horses! I used to ride and teach riding, many years ago.
I have been sent pictures of it on the horses by subscribers Rob, it is an early peice that was used by horses to pull stuff.
It doesn't however go on the horses head as I may have said on the video
I would like to know if my name is on the wheel ,John E.May from USA 🇺🇸 ❤
No John. Only those who were on the actually live Sunday. We go live about 3pm uk time.
I was on Sunday live with you guys. John E.May from USA 🇺🇸
Remember John, the video’s & Sunday lives are a week out of sync. Everyone, from that week, is on the wheel, I know they’re very careful about it. Good luck 🤞 😊
Hopefully genie in a boat plaque, rub harder
Could the LEA'S PATENT piece be a mold?
