QGIS has grown on me lately. It took me sometime since I have been a captive of ESRI for so long. The nudge to jump ship came with the new learning curve that came with then ArcGIS Pro. When forced to learn it I first stopped and said to myself: come on, you are learning an almost completely new tool; you might move on to open-source as well. I did and I never looked back since then. I was gladly surprised by how easy it is to integrate R into QGIS workflows. I was afraid the GIS field is dominated by Python but I now have a feeling we, R users, also have a place here.

Hi. I would like to say "Thank You" for taking the time to make this video. I have not watched it all (as yet) but I will. What I have watched has been great. I needed to know how to digitize a line layer and this provided me with the information and I was able to create both a line layer and a point layer also. Thanks again - appreciated :-) Harry Buckley
Thank you very much for the workshop! I have question about rule-based filter(video 2:17). You sorted only Canary Pines from the whole data with the codes. I want to know that if I can sort trees on certain locations, such as trss on free-ways, with rule-based filter.
Right a geopacakage for creating a geospatial data ,can we use the raster format file foe creating a cartograph of the technical locations or buildings close to the seismic hazard zone and then to classify and do the sort of labelling or can it probably be used for a data like the hospitals and govt buildings.can we use the QGIS for mapping the underwateer and underground sites like the mines and gas deposits and then controlling on the contrast and getting a clear view of such locations ,i mean spotting them out on the map.
are the versions of the QGIS available for getting the spatial mapping of locations like the underground pipeline and plumbing sites ,underground sewerage sites or locationbs .or possibly for the space data mapping.
hi, I have a county size group of 1000 lidars (.laz's) that I had to break up into 3 projects because QGIS kept choking on any group larger than around 500 layers. How would I go about merging all 3 of those groups of layers into one project/tiff file. Also tried layer/group merge, copying and pasting and nothing would work. Thx in advance for any help. ....Dan also having trouble registering for the QGIS forum site. keeps going to a blank screen after completing the form. no email sent to me.Any way to let them know?
