Great review Sticky!
Great review. I'm just getting started with digital art and there is much to consider. I was thinking of getting the paper-like and I think I will stay with that decision. Thanks.
cool info sticky on the review
Wow if I ever try digital art I have this vid amazing work sticky
I enjoyed watching this review.. big like !
Nice! Thanks so much that’s really good to hear! Hopefully it was helpful :)
Can you try Bellemond Kent paper screen protector? Would be interesting to see
Awesome my friend,so beautiful😃👍👍
Hey there, could you maybe try the paperlike screen sheet with a Artist glove for digital drawing? Would be interesting to me how well those perform together, and if the glove wears down or not
I use titanium tip on my Apple pencil. (And it's also on my Wacom pen and previously surface pen.)
Titanium tip itself can bring some friction, but it might still be more slippery than many people would prefer. Still, for artists, it might be just enough even for using on a smooth screen protector or bare glass.
But those that need some more friction can use paper like screen protector on top of that. It's probably better to use a finer grain one on iPad (since titanium tip is pointier than plastic tip), and it seems to be affected by finger oil a bit more (comparing between my cintiq and my iPad), which could be solved by wiping the screen often or simply just press a bit harder.
And then I find the iPad surface feeling smoother than cintiq when using both titanium tip and paper like screen protector. My theory is that since I don't often lay my iPad Pro flat to draw on, unlike the cintiq, the almost identical friction is a bit insufficient. I'm okay with that, but those who doesn't should probably aim for either a stiffer screen protector or use stiffer tip cover. Though got to say, it's not like having more friction is always better. On real paper you almost always get too much friction and that can make your stroke look rather stiff. Aiming for the least friction you can handle can actually maximize your drawing quality, but at the cost of your hand writing can look weird, especially if you are writing Chinese (since you need to write tons of tiny strokes).
Lol I was so confused when the thumbnail said “paper like vs paper-like”
Can you please give us a quick review of the bersem paperfeel protector
Thanks a lot for the in depth review. I am thinking of buying one for my iPad mini which I use for reading ebooks (only text), because the reduction in reflection looks awesome. For my iPad Pro I would not like the reduction in display quality. But I am no artist.
What of a screen protector you would recommend for someone who just takes notes in university with a regular basis, but doesn't necessarily is an artist who needs to draw 6 hours a day, and also uses the iPad for media consumption without scratches interference?
glossy screen protector
I am trying out the moshi matte removable screen protector now
Buy a small box of HP LaserJet overhead transparencies and use the matte side. Removable, clear, nice surface, cheap.
I'm in that exact same spot, which do you prefer? Or what did you pick?
thanks for the review, would you recommend the ZOEGAA for daily user? for note taking and light digital painting. Thanks!
It’s not bad! Definitely worth the price! ($12 for 2) I will post my 30 day review for it tomorrow
Hi was just wondering if it's worth getting a silicone case for the apple pencil to help with gripping while drawing/ writing? Thanks for all the info about the screen protectors!
I like the simple silicone sleeve/case I got! There are also grips similar to pencil grips that I have heard are super comfy (just have to remove it to charge the pencil)
@@STICKYArt ok, good to know. Thanks! 😊
I am not an artist but like the Zagg products for iPads
Should I get this if I will be using my iPad heavily for note taking (high school) though also for watching lots of shows and movies. I would be getting the M1 with the many miny pixels. Thank you, please reply
If you want a more paper like feel when writing then yes
Could you compare the zoegaa paper-like to watercolor paper? It’s known to have a more grainy feel then normal paper.
Watercolor paper has a natural texture uneven/bumpy if you look close up or feel. Zoegga is more even texture. Writing on it feels close to reg paper and pencil feel. However touching it it feels like wet dry sand paper 600 grit (smooth sand paper if that makes sense :)
@@STICKYArt thank you for the detailed explanation! I got it yesterday and am VERY pleased with it. Feels so much better
Almost all paper screen films will reduce the look and feel of the screen while improving the feel. Fortunately, haolocm has developed a removable paper screen film, which can be installed during use and removed when not in use. I feel very good.
I have been hearing more about these style films, I need to try one out soon!
@@STICKYArt You should like it ,like an upgrade
@@gallen4123 Just wanted to say thank you. I just tried the haolocm and it's night and day compared to paperlike imo. Thank you again.
@@PlatinumAdventures Are you still liking it? I'm thinking of getting one but I'm concerned that it may slide while drawing and/or lower the resolution, color accuracy, create a heavy 'rainbow' effect, and wear out the pen nib quickly. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have the zoegaa it chews through pen tips every few months
I already noticed a decent amount of wear from my first week of use!
Did I hear you right. That the actual iPad screen gets scratched when this is used ? Not just the Paperlike the iPad screen gets scratched? Also, why cant one put on an actual screen protector and then a Paper-like product?
No, the screen protector l/Paperlike gets small scratches from normal use. The actual iPad screen does not. I have heard of people applying a glass screen protector and the Paperlike before but I have never tried it personally.
Will you ever make paper puppets again sticky art and also you inspired me with your idea of making paper puppets and that's what on my channel
Thanks that’s Awesome ! I have been thinking about a new paper puppet soon! Let me know if there are any characters you would like to see! I have some in mind too :)
I’d probably take on phone and do art on tablet so I will get the cheaper one.
Can you do my name pink and purple is Imar

Hi
i like how he uses affiliate links
Yes absolutely, and I’m very transparent about. As a creator it is a way that if someone decides to purchase an item from a review I am able to get a small percent of the sale go toward funding making more content (at no additional cost to the buyer). It takes a lot of time to do these thorough reviews and give my honest opinion and experience the goal is to help others make informed decisions with products.
Someone just gave up on checking his emails.
