Once upon a time, this magical cottage in Sweden was bursting with life, as it was being lived in by August, Nanna, and their lovely child.
But regrettably, not every fairy tale apparently ends with And they lived happily ever after... as their home got forgotten about after its residents deceased and it has since been dematerializing in time. All their treasured items are just disconsolately left to vanish in dust.
The severe frost and winters have now taken their toll on this sheltered home in this idyllic Swedish commune.
Yet, I will turn a fairy tale into reality today, as I wander through this wondrous little site and explore the aftermath of this imaginative couple and their life.

Abandoned Sweden Series: Abandoned FAIRY TALE Cottage in Sweden | LOST FOR 40 YEARS
#abandoned #urbex #sweden
The big photo on the floor is not of the owners of the house and their baby. The photo is of the swedish king and queen, and their first child. Princess Victoria. ;)
You are right because the foto I am thinking is around 1970 for the kind of clothes and haircut style
Amazing

Very sad none of their kid(s) wanted this space. Cute little cottage! Thank you!!
I'm very happy to get to see this! Its a true treasure! The pictures on the floor is of the Swedish King and Queen. 👍❤😀
This video brings tears.. over 40 years of abandonment.. such a humble place.. I feel the love that they shared. Great Wall paper in living room.. that hawk was awesome., thanks for doing a respectful explore. Sweden has been great to explore..
This Sweden series is so unique and untouched! You need to do much more from Sweden. I love it!
Greetings from Norway.
There's something so special about these little cozy homes in Sweden. They are still my favorite to watch. Thank you
I can wonder since the big invasion to Sweden, that their are empty houses at all......
Those swedish stoves are so beautiful. Have never seen anything like them anywhere else before. This little home goes to show that you don't need a mansion to be happy. 👍❤️
Thank you for being so gentle and respectful as you explore these homes.
Your series is fascinating! You have such respect for the homes you explore and just the right voice......so pleasant to hear your narration. Congratulations on your good work!
You are a sensitive and delicate person,
Your videos are inspiring ❤️
Actually the picture upstairs is the king and queen of Sweden and they are still alive, thank you for the brilliant exploring!😍😊
Awwww so sad, a proper family home. Felt so emotional. Loved it. Thank you for sharing.
I'm really, really loving the Sweden Series! Such quaint, lovely homes. This one was a gem!
@rasem... 🌹 So amazing

The cat-quote says in swedish: Vart katten (katt=cat) tar pengarna vägen? It means: Where the heck do the money go? In Sweden we say sometimes: ”vad katten” (What the heck) when we don´t want to swear. Nice video and beautiful home! ❤️
thanx from libya 🙂
So it's a polite way of saying " where the f*ck does the money go ? 🤔😕😂.... Much peace and happiness from Scotland 🏴
Yep! 😂
I really love how respectful you are for the people who lived here.
Hello from France.
The angels in the wooden box at 2:14 are actually part of a candle chime. I had one just like it! It had 4 candles and when you lit them the heat caused the angels to spin on a spindle and the little wires hanging down touched other metal parts and made a delightful chiming sound.that’s only part of the whole thing. I love mine!
All those figurinesare are nice, and I see old radios. Another awesome explorer💕👏🏼👍🏻
This is mind blowing! It is like being transported back in time. I was a young adult in 1973. My eldest child born in 1974. So many items are reminiscent of that period! Unbelievable time warp for me lol.
Thank you for filming, wonderful place!
And when we watch this kind of videos, we feel that we will leave this life forever... and yet we say: This is the nature of life.
Poor little cottage! I don't think it's long for this world - so sad! Gill 🇬🇧
Maureno and Ramon LOL It takes me HOURS working on Google translate to be able to read all of your comments. It is just amazing seeing how well loved and adored you are from around the world. It makes my heart burst with joy seeing some of the places you take us to. I Thank you so much for showing me how the rest of the world has lived. I have not been as mind blown lately to discover that other people lived as I have been all of my life. It is something I never had thought about before but have now discovered so many things were parallel to my life. I love the really old places the most because they bring back childhood memories LOL I am not that old lol I am 58 but I think I am hyper memory on things in my life because I had lived in 12 different states by the time I had graduated high school. My mind absorbed every detail because I got where I never knew where I would be next and wanted to remember it all. Thank you my sweet dear young men.
I love their wallpapers and the wallpaper and the lightning in the bedroom was very special.
By the way, that cupboard with a sink is a "potty cabinet". The sink on top, and inside it you store the potty. A very useful and popular furniture before the water toilets and bathrooms became common in every household. On the Swedish countryside, many people got water toilets installed in the late 1960s and many country holiday cottages still hasn't got any "proper" bathroom.
Very well done. Thank you! Your persona and manners add so much😀
WOW That tiled stove is just gorgeous, When I was in my 30s (lol not last year lol) I went to stay a weekend at a friends new cabin in the mountains, he was so proud of his Swedish Kakelugn tiled stove. I think he designed the 5 room cabin around the stove lol. I remember that night going to bed and he only put 5 small 5" logs in and I was prepared to be frozen to death by morning hahaha but the fire was out but it was still putting out heat.It was so beautiful and had a square fire box at the bottom. I guess in my mind I was surprised to see it in this cabin. My friend paid a bit of money for his and for shipping, he found the stove when he went to Europe to holiday.
The clean lines of the furniture is just gorgeous. The mid century beauty, simplicity and quality are just amazing.
The tigerwood maple table probably was beyond gorgeous under the table cloth.
The Phillips tv is early 1970s color tv I think ours was like that one LOL but my memory aint what it used to be lol. I remember watching the first episode of Seaaame Street, all the Mr Rogers Neighborhood and Captain Kangaroo on it growing up lol. Just think lol that used to be the "Large Screen" tv hahaha Phillips had been making TVs since the early 1950s.
8:58 That is a pump organ, you have to pump the black petals to move air
over the pipes to produce the sound. They are so amazing and all of the
stops are still there. WOW.
The taxidermy hawk is so amazing.
EVERYTHING in this room is all good quality, No penny pinching cheap stuff.
Thank you for all the info! 🙂
Wow 👏👍
Queria eu aqui no Brasil ter vivido o que você viveu que lindo momento amei sua história
@@veravalentim1842 To me every place else is more exciting than where I am. No place is perfect. But we can learn to love where we are and flourish if we work hard enough.

I like this old house so much. Thank you 🙏
The cabin is adorable, I loved it. Thanks for showing🙏🙏🙏
Спасибо Вам за видео. Слушать и смотреть, так завораживает. Хочется даже всё руками потрогать. 👍👍👍👍👍
Such a sweet little old home. Love what the pillow said. ♥️♥️☺️ It does seem like a Magical home. I enjoyed it. I'm sure they are still there in Spirit. ♥️
I love this little house. Thank you for sharing.
The house really looks like a fairy tale house . I like the living room. it is so cosy .Love the Swedish stove, so beautiful.
I admired this tiny cottage, you said that it was abandoned nearly 40 yrs. but it's amazibg that their living room is still prestine and the other room, and the piano unfortunately don't work anymore, they have a nice oven, thier decorative figurines are small and cute, their cabinets and furnitures are also small but sad to say that the kitchen is in advance decay, the Chandelier upstairs is unique, i enjoyed this video, good luck to your next venture👏😇🙏🇵🇭
Oh Maureno, I’m crying 😢 since my mom passed in April and now im an orphan 🥺It brings such sadness that all their cherished items are left to decay. You’re so compassionate and caring and i love your videos. 🙏🏻😍💙Many Blessings
My deepest condolences Ernest, may your mom rest in peace and thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful compliments :D 🙏🏼
My deepest condolences Ernest, may your mom rest in peace and thank you so much for your beautiful and thoughtful compliments :D 🙏🏼
Mis condolencias Ernest, te acompaño en tu dolor por la pérdida de tu mamá, ella ya descansa en paz y ahora es tu ángel en el cielo, ánimo. Un saludo afectuoso desde Chile 🙋♀️🙏✌️
Dear Mr. Ernest I know how terribly sad it feels, because my mom also passed away this year in the month of May, and I also have
moments of deep grief and tears, because I am missing her painfully. - So I sincerely wish you also from the bottom
of my heart my deepest condolences, and may your mom rest in peace! - Kindest regards.
@@willyegger4488 thank you so much Willy🙏🏻 I pray for peace and light for you and may your Mom sing with the angels 👼🏻
God Bless my friend 🙏🏻🥺💔
Wonderful and interesting. Your voice and your narrative adds much colour to your videos as usual. Thanks bro.
Gracias desde España,, me encanta que seas tan respetuoso dando las gracias a las personas que vibieron ahí y en otros lugares que visitas.
Beautiful video, I liked seeing the zwerg couch and all the small decorations. You're very respectful of their home.
Thank you Maureno for sharing this beauty with us. Great video as always!💖
The photo on the floor = King and Queen of Sweden. The bit of newspaper at 17:50 is about August funeral, she thanked people for coming and for the flowers.
A wonderful!💓explore! Love all the little trinkets , probably gifts over the years! A true time capsule! Thank you Explomo!💓👏💓
They must’ve lived a very magical life. What a quaint cottage filled with pristine items.what a wonderful explore.
Hi Maureno and friends of Explomo, don't take what I'm going to say badly. The urbex is often sad, with all these memories, these people gone, but since you visit Sweden, I am even sadder! I can't imagine living in the middle of winter in these isolated, now abandoned places. For me, this is not "fairy tales", I do not feel happy life in these houses that are all similar in their sadness. But I hope that people have lived there happily, that these homes have had a joyful soul, but I don't have that feeling. I'm sorry to say that, but I can't wait for you to change places. In any case, thumb up anyway for good work always as respectful. Charles, from France.
I feel sad 😭 watching it too but, it is life enjoy while you live and be happy. I wish you all the happiness of this temporary world
Such a nice little time capsule when the world loved wallpaper and made their own music.
So so sad to see, brakes my heart 💔 This have been a beautiful and loved home once upon a time, that’s easy to see. I don’t understand why the kids or relatives don’t take care of those personal things. If there ain’t nobody still living those people maybe had friends that could have taking care of the things. This is the kind of house I would love to have.
Another dear little house. You find magical and special places. You video them with such great care. Lots of love and Blessed be always. 💖💖
I’m really glad I found your videos! It’s awesome that u give background on the past families and their lives, it creates an even better snapshot into the homes history.
I love how you can make a story from the past come alive again.
I love that we get to see your explorations. I enjoy that you show us details and the smaller things. So many interesting things to see.
Hi maureno.Wow mind blowing. Love Sweden series.it was once a beautiful house how sad so many memories. Now decaying and nature taking over great video stay safe.👍🏻🥰👏🏻🔥❤️
I loved your comment, and the house is also beautiful, excellent work.
Maurano this was beautiful!! So sweet. The old pump Oregon was in mint condition and would play you have to pull one or more of those little knobs out and also pump with your feet and then it will work. I totally love this place. What a beautiful tribute. To August and Anna. Looks like they had a long and happy life together there. Thank you for your storytelling as always. With love from me in California 💜🎃😎😘🇺🇸
A wonderful cozy nice home ! Such a shame to see it going to ruin! If only the roof had been repaired!
Thank you for another great exploration. I really appreciate how you respect their belongings. Even tho they are not coming back, they deserve the respect you show.
That Wooden sofa is beautiful,I'd love that in my home x
OMG What I wouldn't give to have the tile heating stove, the sofa, the chair, the organ lol okay all of it but the sofa and chair are such beautiful condition mid century pieces, they have to be quality to hold up that well abandoned. LOL We have such great taste lol
Awww this was once a very lovely home. So much History. If the walls could talk, what beautiful stories they could tell.
beautiful places full of story. the one behind that camera dear storyteller you tell that story about that house with a voice worthy of a true storyteller detached from story books. Every time I look forward to a video to hear from you the story of that mansion house mansion. Hi dear friend Maureno from fabulous team explomo, Wonderful introduction in a very good English! I admire your way of
describing and introducing a new location. - Some parts of this house were beautiful to see, like that living room, which
reminded me very much of the 1950-ies or 1960-ies. Of course the decay traces are already very dominant, but you managed
so nicely to show the beauty behind the decay! - I especially loved that wonderful stove in the living room. - Of course all these
many small decorative pieces were also nice to see. - I loved seeing the pump organ, which still looked functional. It is also
called "Harmonium". But you do not only have to operate the pedals for pumping. Additionally you have to pull at least one
of these levers, which are the registers of the organ, where you can create different sound effects in variant volumes, and then
you can press the keys for a melody. - Some rooms really have a time capsule vibe in this traditional Swedish house.
What an other amazing explore in Sweden! - Thank you for taking us viewers through this cozy cottage and telling the
background story of the former owners. Very interesting to see and to listen to you, dear bro!
Wishing you all the best, stay safe, peace and kindest regards from sunny Switzerland.
Say also please heyy to Lesley as well and wishing you both much love and fun on your phantastic trip!
Thank you so much… many safe travels to you & Lesley as u continue to explore new places…. Thx for sharing as always…😊 Bravo
My old auntie had an organ like that. She had to pump those pedals to push air through to get the sound. Love your videos, your voice is perfect for them too. This truly seemed like a sweet old family, with a beautiful cozy little home. Thanks for sharing.❤
So Sad 😞 to leave behind mysterious clues of a personal past. Only to be forgotten and reclaimed by time. Thank you for sharing 🧡
Ahh me fascina el que seas inmensamente respetuoso y adorable, realmente irradias amor por lo que haces. Gracias por lo que haces, eres tremendamente generoso al compartir con los demás tan bellas aventuras. Te saludo desde Chile.
Yes, those chimes with the angels and the candles were a popular import to the U.S. in the '70s. Our family had one, and another with horses instead of angels.
I have never seen a bathroom sink with a cover like that before!
Thank you for sharing this lovely story about this beautiful couple before it would have been too late to do so. Much appreciation .
i just discovered these abandoned places on youtube. after jumping around, i have gravitated to your style and soothing voice and now binging on yours. thank you for bringing these to us. i have always wanted to do what you are doing.
I love this series risking your life to show viewers this wonderful treasures as you journey back in time! This is what antique dealers stories are made of and I wish more young people, like yourself, invest their time and energy as you did and record stories of the past lives into view! This is a gift for GENERATIONS to come history ,before the internet arrived! Thank you for this treasure an exciting past of this little cottage!
Wow What a sweet cottage. Love it.
Not a lot of cob webs or dust. Amazing place. Even the balloon atlas is still blown up after 40 years. The kitchen ceiling is just a breath away from coming down. Each abandoned home was once alive.
Wow hebat Explomo ... Rumah tinggal keluarga yang luas halamannya rumah yang cantik warna cerah ... Rumah unik ... Tempat tinggal keluarga yang indah di masanya ... Foto keluarga, ada piano, tempat perapian besar cantik, perabotan rumah vintage tahun 80an ...keren... Hebat Explomo ;--)))

That was awesome... I love how you take care to preserve there home as a guest.
Explomo I’ve been watching your channel for years now and I really like how you are telling the stories of these families that have been lost in time, you obviously have done a bit of research into the family’s of the homes you’re exploring. KOODOS to you guys for immortalizing these families and their homes 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Maureno, the music goes well with the videos, because abandoned houses are mostly sad.Sometimes I feel like crying, thingking of the lovely moments these people had in their homes.😢
You are a very talented young man! Thank you for your appreciation and respect for those who have gone before you and the lovely presentation of the objects they have left behind.
wow so adorable home. Thank you for lettin us being with you while you are on this adventure.😀😘😇😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤗😷😷😲😲
Actually the couple on the floor with the baby is the current Swedish King and his queen Silvia and their first born daughter, the swedish crownprincess.. Not August and Nanna :D
You are such a "ROMANTIC" when you are talking about the homes and family!!!
I absolutely love your narration of these abandoned places. You're so good at telling their story.
Excelentes aportes. Gracias! Saludos desde, Tegucigalpa Honduras 🇭🇳

I admire all the effort you put into your videos 📹 and you do an excellent job and I really appreciate joining you on your journeys of exploring time capsules and abandoned 🏡 even tho I can only watch it . Keep all the greatness up guys. Much love from nottinghmshire 🇬🇧
Such a beautiful simple home that clearly brought great pleasure to the owners. Beautifully recorded with amazing respect, thank you ❤️
So magical Maurento, thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us. Love ya!
❤️ Beautiful! My father’s ancestors are from Sweden. I’ve always been fascinated it. ❤️
The unique style you say they had. That style is called the 70's. Orange was the 70's beige. Everyone had orange, bright yellow, harvest gold, avocado green, dark brown in their homes back then. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. They were very hip back then. Especially at their age to use those mod colors.
16:50 FYI These are not the owners of the house, that is the swedish king and queen with one of their newborn childs :)
You put a lot of hard work into these videos and we really appreciate it. Many thanks. 🌻
Благодарю за ваш труд.С вами всегда интересно и познавательно.
It’s amazing to see a house like that. Everything exactly as it was the last day of the people were living there. Thanks for sharing!🌻
This beautiful little home still exudes love and family memories even in its decaying state. It makes me wonder what happened to it former occupants. It makes me wonder why someone hasn’t claimed it. So sad to see it being reclaimed ever so slowly by nature. One day it will be a pile of rubble and dust.😞
Another brilliant video what a sweet little cottage that once been and so mad how the living room kept so well for forty years yet kitchen mainly gone And love how you was show respect and thank the family for letting you explore there home you are a true gentleman xxxx ❤️
Cómo siempre me gustó muchísimo esta exploración debió ser muy hermoso vivir ahí.
Какие красивые люди эти Август и Нана, и дом такой же красивый и уютный!😍
Dear Moreno! The photo of a woman with the child is the photo of queen Silvia and her first baby crown princess Viktoria :) And the photo of a man is the photo of Swedish king Karl XVI Gustaf .
Holaaaa..gracias por compartir esta historia...que bella casa tan acogedora...esperaré tu próxima aventura!!saludos!!🤗
Wow! What a beautiful wonderland! Did you guys find Alice? Lol 😆 It's indeed a beautiful fairytale, so magical, cute and omg the cozinesss! It's true it's tiny, but so cozy and full of love, great memories, and magic ✨ i love how they decorated their house! Honestly i'm a fan of fairytale theme, so i would like to fill my house with decorations like these. And also they have plenty of beautiful piece of antiques! I love the vintage TV, radio and record player 😍😍😍 i bet their life was so adorable in here, and i hope they are resting in peace now 🙏❤ Sweden never fail in surprising me with its cute cottages, but this one especially! So cute and cozy. I love the words of your intros, especially in today's video! You know, you can be not just a good photographer, editor and explorer, you can also be a good poet 😉😌 keep going! And thanks for taking us again, to another amazing place is stunning Sweden. My favorite series now! It's a special beautiful country, special in it's cottages, nature, and everything! I hope it never ends! Good job, take care and much love. Peace out ❤😍😘🥰🤗✌
I loved this tiny place,I think it was quite pretty.
It's really sad to see that everything of all the memories was not reclaimed and left to rot and decay. Thanks for another great tour.
Hello hope you're doing good . Ok being from Quebec Canada , i never had a chance to travel overseas so i want to say a big thank you for showing us part of this country call Sweden and the peoples that had built this amazing country . Keep up the amazing work . Take care
