The clavichord was the ideal instrument to perform on for organists, even in France, where all organists had a "manichordion" as late as the early 18th century. They were cheap instruments that were often built by organists themselves, and which didn't need some extra person for actioning the organ bellows. It is my opinion that, Bach's trio sonatas were actually not comlposed for the organ, but essentially for the clavichord. They are more convincing on the clavichord, since they display a variety of compositional details that are not idiomatic to the organ.
A majestic performance. My maternal grandfather had a clavichord as part of an antique writing desk but it was beyond repair, unfortunately. I always fantasized about its actual sound...

I was going to suggest that he needs an even larger clavichord, but he's out of limbs, so the only option is an overhead, larger one played by headbutting the keys, which would be extra metal.
QUITE INTERESTING! I think that's the first 2-manual clavichord that I've ever seen. I'm guessing that even the pedal board is "touch sensitive", where the harder you hit the pedals, the louder the notes are. I had experience with touch sensitive pedals on a Technics organ back in the 1990's at Gerrero's music store that used to be in the Ohio Valley Mall (in St. Clairsville, OH). Me: Thou needest not aks twice!
It's not Metallica. It the kinks.
I was going to suggest that he needs an even larger clavichord, but he's out of limbs, so the only option is an overhead, larger one played by headbutting the keys, which would be extra metal.
Bro, that instrument is sick!
ДЛЯ СЛУХА НЕОБИЧНОЕ ЗВУЧАНИЕ __ ОСОБЕННО БАС !!! СПАСИБО !!!
Your GOOD music certainly beats playing (or listening) to a stupid distorted electric guitar!
May God bless you and your music--in the name of Jesus!

Wow, this has opened my ears. Well played! That Andante is sublime.
Lovely to hear this, and I know the clatter may put some off but it is essentially a private instrument. Many thanks for sharing it though, well done.
Bach's favorite instrument!
WOW! This is wonderful! Your playing technique is perfect! This reminds me of our beloved E. Power Biggs and his grand Pedal Harpsichord! You have really made this favorite piece of Bach music come alive! Thanks!
Richard Snyder old Biggs introduced me to the pedal harpsichord, life has never been the same since.
Pretty nice. I wasn't really in the mood for Bach just now, but I'm glad I gave this a go.
I might have appreciated it even more if I Had been in the mood.
Truly incredible. This instrument is a monster!
Thank you and Bach for this wonderful piece, oh yeah, thank the builders of those crazy boxes too!
Very interesting. I’ve never seen or heard one of these before.
Thank you so much for this incredible performance. I'm in awe of your ability and dedication.
Caro Maestro,
lei ha fatto qualcosa di meraviglioso! 🙌💘🕊️
Wonderful Balint, just wonderful, thank You!
Great performance and recording. Sounds like the right tuning for the period. You obviously put a lot of work and love into this. Thank you.
Delightful, to see an accomplished organist, at the classic Organ Practice instrument, which
Bach et al would have understood, and admired - for its own sake. More please -& Thanks.
William Huband I plan to do more recordings but it is very hard to record (and play) this instrument!
I had understood they usually practiced on harpsichords, but I am not an expert on the history.
@@stephenallen1149 Harpsichords were luxury in Germany. Clavichords were often built by some village cabinet maker or by the organist himself. Pedal clavichords must have been far more common than what may be expected today.
@@bkarosi BWV 525 would be perfect to listen, especially.
Las obras de Bach, con clavicordio me crea emociones de recuerdos vividos , se que están en algún lugar dentro mi memoria.
