Have you ever put flat wounds on a Stranberg? How did it sound?
I haven't mate, not something I've ever tried. However, my dude @andrefludd and I believe @mathew_dale have? Might be worth checking some of their stuff out. Sorry I couldn't be of more use mate, hope you get some answers 🤘

You should try the HILS HN3 guitar then (they are imported by Andertons), it's a Boden-like guitar but less than half the price. I had the Boden, sold it and took an HN3 and I'm sooooo happy with it, from ergonomics to the sound! Only real difference is that, obviously, there is no Endureneck, but it's very nice anyway. Boden's pickups are slightly better, too.

The Future Dusk Essential has been calling to me, but I'm trying to hold out for a GOC since their specs are more my vibe. IDK if I can go back to rosewood from the richlite on my Boden Prog tbh 😬

Strandbergs always seemed a bit excessive in price for my humble needs so I always sort of admired them from afar. Now they go and release this and it lives right at the top end of what I'd spend on a guitar. I'm both pleased and vexed at the same time that this is available. Anyway, I need to find a grand from somewhere ffs.

I have been wanting a Strandberg for some time now.
I have a Ibanez qx 52, wich i love. Would u say the Strandbergs are better guitars?
What is your favorite strandberg model? I like the new metal nx and the sälen (jazz/plini).
But i have no chance to get to try before buying. Do u have any suggestions? Boden vs Sälen(jazz)? I play mostly rock/metal.
Hey dude, thanks so much! I'm really glad you liked it.
So, yeah dude. The Q series are great for the price point and sound really good but I think Strandberg are on another level entirely. I know I said it in the video (kind of) but I am a massive Strandberg fanboy so take this for what you will. To me, they're peak headless guitar design and I don't really play anything else when I'm writing or playing. They're ideal for what I want from a guitar.
My favourite model? I'd have to say my Boden Prog NX and Original NX are joint top. I love them both. If I was picking between a Sälen and a Boden I'd go Boden but only by a little bit. I prefer how they feel to sit with and their sound, there is a slight difference to my ear.

I emailed Strandberg and they messaged back say the pickups are the same for the Essential, the Standard, and the Resq:d which is really fascinating to note. So the question for a cheaper 6-string strandberg is do you want fanned frets and which color

I tried an Essential out last week. I love the sound of them, but I found the playing experience underwhelming. I then tried a Standard and the playing experience was so much better. I'd assumed I wanted the Essential for the straight frets as the fanned frets had previously confused me when trying a Standard. But this time it gelled, and the zero fret really helped with low action. So now I'm saving more for a Standard, or maybe a 2nd hand Original.
Would be funny if I ended up with an Original but swapped the pups out for the same as an Essential.
I think you've summed it up perfectly man. To me, the choice between straight and multiscale is going to be the big deciding factor for a lot of players and you'll definitely prefer one or the other. If you like the OEM pickups see if you can get a RESQ:D dude, all the playability of the standard and above but with OEM pups. There are a few floating about used too. Thanks for watching mate! 🤘

Secondly I have no idea where you're going to store all the guitars haha ! but I have also purchased quite a few guitars that I perhaps shouldn't have bought. ( I currently have a few too many Ibanez quest guitars including an Ichi100 . I sadly don't play that one because I didn't gel with the single coil pickups. It works for Ichika but not so much for me.
Also I love the " This is why I drive an old banger" XD comment. I shall watch the rest of this and report back! I'm stoked to hear your opinion on the essential. If the essential is as mind blowing as people have made it out to be.. I might have to find one . But I can't do that at the moment because guitars are expensive haha.

Ah man, I don't have **that** many guitars right now. Keeping the channel going, the 'old banger' that I had when I filmed this video trying to do me in so I had to change it, life; I sell a fair few to keep stuff going unless it really resonates with me over the long term. Doesn't mean they aren't good if I sell them, it just means that I need to keep money coming in somehow.

I'd put money on lefties coming dude. I think the initial release being so successful shows the desire for it. Put it this way, if they don't drop a leftie essential I think they're missing out but they seem to be one step ahead at all times. 😂 I already have dude, not much space here at all now! haha Unfortunately I don’t end up keeping a lot of them, kind of comes with the territory of running the channel out of my own pocket atm but I’m sort of using the buying and selling as a means to try and find the guitars that really gel with me.
