👊SlamminUK👊 Yeah, it's not even a joke. We as humans, need something to look forward to in terms of space exploration. This show is also a great example of how humans SHOULD unite as one and work together towards a common positive goal.
@@ArcKnightElite I think they should open a new Star Trek themed attraction at the Universal Theme Parks, American Dream Meadowlands or in part of the former Sears department store at the Mall of America.
I remember I had the Rings of Betazed onion rings at Quark's Bar, it came with 3 types of dipping sauces... ranch, ketchup and honey mustard. That was back in 1998 or 1999. I still have the Tribble I got at the gift shop. 😊 The 'beaming up' to the bridge part of the ride blew my mind. I'd love to relive that again. I really hope this comes back one day.
It was a great place wasn’t it? Did you ever do the backstage tour were they explain how they did the beaming up part? Blew my mind too the first time I went on that ride. 👍
@@maryham6533 yeah there was. It was advertised around a few places but I never did it until one of my subsequent annual trips there. It was cool because it showed you some of the corridors and hidden places where staff rest or discretely got on to the experience floor etc. Anyway, the transporter trick is done by the fact that the walls are pulled up at some absurd numbers of mile per hour by a machine and a split second later the transporter roof slides across. That was the wind you feel as the transporter sound goes off. So when you were standing in the room waiting for the “original” ride, all the walls were basically fake. If memory serves the ride attendant had to stand in a specific corner in order to release the walls or something when the lights were switched off. 👍
@@destinyson23 That's so cool. I always wondered how the transporter effect was done. I do remember everything going black, feeling the wind and seeing silver dots all around. I really hope someday they build Star Trek Experience again. Thanks for telling me how it worked. 😊
@@maryham6533 I hope they reopen too. I always naively assumed that the experience would be open forever because of how much Star Trek was loved and how well designed the experience was. Then I found out after the fact that it had shut and I didn’t get to say goodbye to the places. I am kicking myself for not going there more when it was open and buying tons of their merchandise now! 😆
dawww... and i wish it sitll was there...if it was the case, i really wonder if they owuld have included star trek online (not sure if they would have included it cuz it isnt cannon), but it would have been aweosme, in fact i myself would have tried to get a startfkeet uniform, and modify it so that it would have a United Federation Starfleet style. (United Federaiton Starfleet is a Star Trek Roleplaying group on Secondlife i'm part of)
I went there many times over the 10 year run. My wife and I went there on our Honeymoon (December 2002). I was dressed as a First Contact era Captain, And sat in the Captains chair on the Enterprise-D, Many people were supprised how close to authentic my costume was, I was given a special sticker denoting I was not in the event staff.
@DarthStewart202 Word was that it was going to be relocated to a competing Los Vegas hotel and have the ride updated to feature the 2009 "preboot" Trek movie (apparently in real life the ride was never updated during the 9 years The Experience was running and was very dated-looking and generally behind the times of other interactive rides) but for various reasons it never happened. I think it makes more sense to have Paramount license just the ride for use at the Universal Studios Theme Parks.
WWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!! I want to go and see every little thingy!!! Do they have Klingon, Vulcan, another races dictionaries??? It would be great to make a Klingon and a Borg spaceship, too!! And to turn people into Borgs!!! Lots of fun, as usual, about Star Trek: resistance is futile!!!! :D
I remember when this came to the Pacific Science Center one weekend. Not sure if it was the whole thing or just part that they could build on site at the Center, but it was damned cool nonetheless.
@ROSE911GUNDAM Hell, it looked better than the last 3 Next Generation-era films! They seriously need to bring this back. it's essential to life.
***** Agreed!

"Recognise the strength of the brand" - One of the most pure corporate sentences I've heard in a while.

I went several times to this before it was closed out. I enjoyed it everytime.
This was so cool what a shame that it's no longer there.

Why? They'll keep stupid shows. And they'll trash the good ones.
Star Trek: The Experience, the original "Galaxy's Edge."

i actually had the opportunity to ride this and it was amazing
On "Star Trek - The Experience," I can only say this: of all the places I have encountered in my travels, this was the most... human.
im so glad i got the chance to go to this
I was there 5 times in Vegas years ago. I wish it was still there.
Damn, I wish I could've gone to that.
I went there when it was closing day I really want it back I mean everyone wants it back

August 2000! I knew what was going on, but it was SO well done, that I teared up during the turbolift malfunction. Fucking great!
Reopen Star Trek Experience!!!!
This is utterly amazing! Thank you!
Live long and prosper
How is this no longer there... Come on
Sadly, I never got to see it. They should bring it back. Scale is the hardest part of recreating sets
Why does that no longer exist? It's a dream for every fan...
I'm sad that I was never able to go to this.
I went there back in 2003 :)
I really really wish I could have been to this :(
LukeRM god I know. I am tearing up wishing I could have.
I always wanted to go to this, never got a chance.
Iam still sad this is gone. I still wear my starfleet academy ring that I got in 2001 :(
Take over the ride and set it up for the Kobayashi Maru.
thy should have left the artifacts as a musuem
Well, if they didn't want to continue with this...heck, just send the whole thing to me. I would be happy to live there.

i need this enterprise modell at 0:58 behind him
I would totally want to go there if I could. Too bad they closed it. One would wonder why. :P
Then again everything tastes like chicken to humans I died XD
Looks a lot better than the new Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser experience. Shame this place is closed now.
They have the shows and the funding, bring thus back paramount! #startreklegacy
What... It's gone?! I'm just now finding out about it!
These are not full episodes as claimed.
