Maria is going to be so missed. Such a talented and wonderful person. Her personality reminds me of Isabelle - incredibly caring which is balanced with being level-headed and practical as well. Lancelot is adorable.

@@carolweaver3269 I so hope so, because not only has she soooo satisfied the paying customers who've chosen to book at LaLande, she's also satisfied all of the regulars, the extended family members of Stephanie, Philip, and Nick and Michael as well (which she surely has become) too!!! And as she has done all that, she has made us all fall in awe/love with her...I hope she returns soon....she is soooo cheeky/snarky...I just love her!
Stephanie said she won't be coming back to work, only as a visiting friend.
@@lisamcbarron6047 Not sure if it is just to 'visit' (which may be the case) or to stay for time? Not even sure if she knows herself yet? But the door at Lalande is open and think she knows this, But, she is a true chef, and Stephanie has so many people watching Chateau de laLande, that someone can just pick her up for new horizons>? But she said she "will be back to visit" From that on, I am not sure? We can hope for the best for her and Chateau de Lalande, and the guests and patrons of course, that are able to take part with going to Lalande !
@@carolweaver3269last winter she left for the non-guest season and then came back in the spring. Stephanie said that this time she is not coming back to work for them. She will only be coming for visits. It is possible she has found a position that can keep her on year round.

When we got our pup he was 5 months old and our vet said to only walk him short distances initially or too much strain would be put on his joints. The same applies to going up and down stairs
Lancelot will like his walks more when he's older. It's all new for him and he's very tiny so even a short walk is a lot for him. He might also like a warmer sweater for under his jacket. He's a single coated breed and they feel the cold more.

What a wonderful dinner. Loved the walk in the woods and foraging with Maria Cam. Let that dog learn some independence so he doesn't get separation anxiety and get some work done.. he needs a play area and lots of chew toys - that is his job while you are working, play with toys.

In our house if the puppy is on our laps we call "puppy rules" and everyone else has to take care of the holder's needs.
So thats why my sister always pinched the baby to make him cry when it was time to do the dishes.🙄🤔💗I knew she didn’t like holding the babies that much.

Earlier I was watching an older Cadeaux at the Chateau. You’ve had so many employees and volunteers come and go, I’d love if one day you gave us an update on some of the wonderful people who have graced the Chateau De LeLande.
I enjoyed the earlier vlogs the most. Wonderful mix of people - visitors, friends and volunteers. There was such a wonderful cameraderie and Stephanie was much more hands on. It has changed as all things do but I do miss the old familiar faces and curious about what they are doing now.
Loved the foraging in the woods. Marie has been wonderful, I do hope she enjoys her adventures. Puppy is just so cute.
Remember, YOU are the master, not the dog. Take charge!

The best solution for excessive pulling is training. This is the time to train the dog to walk at heel - so that no lead or harness is necessary at all; and come when called. This is how you will save the pups life if you need to do so in an emergency. The harness may be the reason he is reluctant to go 'for a walk'. Walks should be joyous. Harnesses shouldn't be viewed as a fashion 'accessory'. These harnesses restrict proper shoulder movement, and by doing so limit the amount of pulling, but also negatively affect their normal gait patterns. These harnesses sit on top of some very important muscles, the biceps, brachiocephalicus and the supraspinatus, which help to extend the shoulder joint. This compression and lack of appropriate motion of the shoulder can lead to shoulder pain, arthritis, inflammation and bursitis.
Dogs carry 60% of their weight on their front limbs and 40% on their hind limbs. In dogs who wear harnesses, studies have shown that the begin to shift their weight to the hind end so that they do not have as much pressure on the front. This finding tells us that the discomfort they experience in a harness is enough for them to alter their gait and posture. Amory will give you the right direction.
In my family when one finds himself trapped by a sleeping pet it is “canine paralysis” if that is a dog or “feline paralysis” if the sleeping pet is a cat. I enjoy those names. Both are easily cured as well. Usually by standing up lol❤

Please watch your little pup closely in the Chateau. I pet sat once for a tiny chihuahua who ate anything in sight on the floor. Ended up at the vets for surgery/ not sure if all tiny dogs do this but just say’n keep a close watch. I’m so sad to see Maria leave -she’s so talented as a pianist and a chef/cook.

Crate training is a great tool for dogs’ safety and security in cars, when left alone, or when construction is going on….NOT for punishment though. Lancelot is still a baby, and there are developmental things he still cannot comprehend. But because primitive dogs love caves, a kennel can be a place where chewier and favorite toys, fave blankets are kept. My dog disappeared one day, and in a panic we finally found him curled up in the kennel. Ideally they sleep there until they mature and can sleep at foot of bed, etc
Kennel training is the best!

I am loving the Lalandecelot diaries. He is such a cutie. I wonder if anyone has suggested that you change your lead because retractable leads do not give you the best results for training a young dog.

How wonderful of Molley to teach Lancelot that the paths and roads are not covered in hot lava. Coaxing out of his comfy chateau with cheese seems to be working today, but tomorrow may require medium rare filet mignon tomorrow and then lobster WITH melted garlic butter aftwards. Yet I would insist 'til my dying breath that he is not spoilt. He is just a very lucky boy, full stop. ❤
Cheese is a very effective training tool for Miniature Pinschers. They will not grow to expect roast duck.
When you cut to Philip with Lancelot on his head my life was complete. lol I have never seen such a happy Philip and sweet little Lancelot seems to be finding his place in everyone's hearts. I can't believe Maria is leaving. She is a real gem and no matter what path she follows in life she will be a success. She is so good at everything!

When you explain the dinners i am totally at loss on what you are saying most of the time, but yet it all looks simply divine, so would gladly sit eat it any time at all.
Lancelot is so small and cute, and Molly now want to be the mother, she is trying to teach this little baby, how to live at Lalande and not be afraid of large spaces. Showing Lancelot how to walk in the woods, without stepping in mud puddles, was so cute and giving him the strength to 'carry on with the journey!' Philip just loves holding him tight and keeping him warm and safe.
So glad now Stephanie sees Lancelot as so loving too, and she now knows just what to do at all times with him, He could not ask for a more loving home with so many to love him. Molly too is so very loved! Molly looks like a Golden Retriever or at least half perhaps? They are very smart dogs, and mild mannered.
Like Rachel ( Our dog) used to be. She was part Collie and Shepherd though, but she was mothering kind of dog and really could tell you many stories of how wonderful she was.
Wait until Mummy and Percy gets to know Lancelot! Will love seeing their expressions and how they will feel being grandparents. They are truly family to be honest!
I hope we get an update about where Maria is going, and what job she has? She's so talented and I'll miss her!
