I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖
If you would like to see more of our life at the chateau, please go to our main 'Chateau Diaries' channel:

What an absolute pleasure this unboxing from Catherine was. I so thoroughly enjoyed the story of love and all the illustrations and art. How very generous her gifts were.
OMG, Stephanie, I am so overwhelmed by this vast treasure trove of creativity from Catherine I am experiencing sensory overload! She is so very talented, creative, and SO ABUNDANTLY generous! The fairy art work looks like it was made to hang on the walls. It is so special and evocative of your fairy tale spires, your various color schemes, the patterns in your wallpapers and fabrics, and the whimsy you have created. All the hand made lace, the silk scarves, the coloring supplies, the books. It so inspired me today. I am going to order some things to create some projects of my own!
I think the pictures of the fairies would be perfect in the children's room. Such beautiful detail. The faces are captivating. I love fairies too.
I think a fairy room would do the lovely art justice. Stunning.
I can't believe all of the things she sent you, and she's a fantastic artist.
This video has been the healing I have needed today. You have no idea how much it means to be transported to such a magical place, while knowing it actually exists! You all bring such joy and Steph, you reading that story was mesmerizing. Thank you and blessings to you all!
Well said. I agree!
Philip with the birds in his hair......priceless. lol
Stephanie, You could create a fairy room for all the beautiful pictures! Dress the room with tiny fairy lights and grand pillows full of color! The guests would love it!😍
Or perhaps a fairy turret similar to the pigeonnaire!
I love that idea. I can just see Stephanie in a beautiful gown sitting in a lovely French chair …in a small intimate room, reading aloud a beautiful story for all who would love that. And mine and other Fairy Art gracing the walls.
That would be wonderful. 🥰🥰🥰
Catherine Christenson Stenhjem
I would love that! Yes!
@@catstone8589 your art is AMAZING!!!! You are so very talented and generous! I love the idea of a fairy room right next to a children’s room. There are enough rooms in the attic to do both!!! 🥰🥰
@@rhondathomas7952 Thank-You for your kind words. I realize how expensive it is to have Art framed so I would imagine that framing and hanging my work will be put on hold because there are so many other things to do. I’m just very happy that Stephanie seemed to enjoy my Art and am honored to have it anywhere in the Chateau. ☺️☺️☺️
OMG Catherine is such an amazing artist - LOVE the fairy paintings - just WOW! I think you need to create a cozy reading area with the paintings surrounding the readers on the walls to enjoy. They are certainly not just for kids, I know I love them. To add to it - the rose images are so very lovely. The crafting items I would die for - I love to colour and draw. The story was wonderful and well read Stephanie! Catherine you are so very generous!
The courtyard is becoming a very cozy place to sit and enjoy the day, how nice. Stephanie your cute freckles are coming out in the sun. ❤I needed this kindness and joy today.
Is Catherine on Instagram? Is it possible to know if her art is for sale? You and Nattie are like sisters and such a delight together. Keep smiling.
Another blog, just you reading would be wonderful!!!
This, this is why we all want to come play and visit Lalande. Such a beautiful day, gifts, stories, iced treats, laughter, and generosity in every gift. Lying here, sick with a flu, and this was a tonic!
Hope you're feeling better 🤧
Hi Jennifer, Sending good healing energy🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Namaste . Catherine
Just enjoyed the shade of the umbrella and magic of the afternoon watching cadeaux. The magic really sprinkled when Stephanie read the story by Catherine of Kathy and Thomas and although my name is not Thomas . My vife's name is Kathy Grady. I bring the O'.
She had all the spirit and beauty of the girl in the story .She now carries the burden of Dementia bravely. A raven lives in our neighbourhood who checks is on us from time to time.
Fantasy oft times reflects reality.
Thank you for allowing us to sit awhile.
Dan comes bearing gifts and SMILES..
Dear Eamonn Thank-You for you kind words about my story, ‘Kate O’Grady’,which Stephanie read perfectly. How fortunate to have those lovely memories in you heart , of your own Kathy. Be well and give you wife a hug for me. Love, Catherine
@@catstone8589 Thank you so much Cat for your gifts and talents.
Kathy inspires me everyday and sits with me now as I write this to you drinking tea.
Hello Cat! I love love love your artwork and everything you sent to Lalande!! Do you have a website where we can see your art? I saw lots of comments asking about you too! Big hugs! 💕
@@catstone8589 how generous of you to send such beautiful gifts and share your art with the Lalanders. If you have a website and don’t mind sharing, I’d love to see more of your art. Love love love it!
For the paintings what about the children’s guest room. I think you and Philip would have such fun redoing it is a woodland fairy room. Mushroom seats with a table made of a round slice of one of the trees from the woods. Maybe a reading area with tons of Cushions made by you and Philip with maybe a overhanging flower lamp somewhere in the corner.
When Phillip commented about one of the fairy artwork being like Narnia, I envisioned all the wonderful art framed and decorating Lalande’s very own Narnia. It would make it magical up there.
Stephanie I love chateau diaries, truly delightful, fun loving and heart warming! You would be a wonderful children’s story teller, you put my children to sleep! Xx
Dan will be too, too, handsome with his new smile. Love the little courtyard in use lately. It's so lovely.
Dan has such beautiful eyes and now with a stunning smile, so handsome!
Katherine is a most talented woman! How wonderful of her to share her talent with LaLanders through all those marvellous gifts.
I am binge-watching these this year love them all again
Catherine is an amazing artist and such a generous spirit!😍. I've had the pleasure of working creatively with her, and her imagination never ceases to amaze me!😊. Beautiful gifts, Catherine!❤❤❤
That -You so much Julie! I can say the very same things about your. Your creations are perfection!☺️☺️☺️
Thank you, Catherine.😊
Do you have a website or something where we can see your beautiful work?? I love the pictures so so much.@catstone8589
What a gifted crochet artist! The amount of time it must have taken. They are absolutely stunning!
So true! Enormously difficult to work those intricate patterns in such fine thread…and the number of them! Astounding.
The woman called Catherine, her art is so amazing! So creative and imaginative. It’s so stunning. You’ll def need a whole fairy themed room just so you can hang all that gorgeous art!
The court yard i looking so amazing. The new flat trees are looking so good!
The gifts you received this evening seemed to be coming from an enchanted world of creativity, and as usual it was a joy to watch you open them, your surprise and happiness. The most beautiful moment was when you, Stephanie gave us your gift of reading for us. Such a wonderful spontanous kindness from your part, Thank you. Thanks to Philip and Natie.
The courtyard is looking so so pretty. Your ideas are taking shape thanks to all the teams vision and hard work.
I love it so much when you read the notes
You must get hammocks for you all to place in the woods or your gardens. Then you all and your guests can spend an afternoon reading, resting or just staring up through the trees . Sounds like an idyllic way to while away a summer day💕
YESSS!!
You read that story so beautifully. What a treat this video was. Hugs from Houston
Each scarf is a work of Art.....
Beautiful ....Catherine your art is wonderful.
BTW.....I think the Narnia room should have a lamp post .....lol
After what feels like a LOUSY couple of days ! this is the tonic I needed to see, two truly beautiful girls in summer dresses and with summer shades ! You are a couple of stunners , beautiful on the outside but even more beautiful on the inside.
Xx
I hope your days are getting better!
The Fairy pictures would be lovely framed as decoration in the bedroom you created for children, they are beautiful.
I think we, the audience, get just as excited watching the gift opening as the recipients....! The 35 pound box was just overloaded with magical gifts that will last a long time. Now I am thinking of some treasures I want to send....for the chapel as well......😊
Such beautiful gifts!!
Stephanie, you gave me goosebumps as you read the most adorable story!! i love this artist's work! Just magical!! I missed her name...would like to find her site online.
Me too!!!
Yes please share! We would all love to support her work.
Yes please
Hi, I’m Catherine Stenhjem. You can find my Art on Instagram .☺️☺️☺️
The doilies would look beautiful on pale paper backing and framed, since there is such an amazing array of designs and styles. Incredible work! (the bay leaves may also be to protect from moths and such)
Ooo Yes ! Yes ! Create a nursery with the fairies. That would be magical 😊
What a lovely story at the end of this video - and beautifully told. Such a cheerer-upper. 🙂
Luv to all three of you. 😘
Dearest Stephanie ,
Thank-You so much for your beautiful reading of my little story. I appreciated the perfect Irish lilt. As I always say… you are a joyous , beautiful Fairy in human form .🥰🥰🥰💋
I think I can speak for many viewers when I say we loved your artwork! Can you please share info on where we can find your work?! And maybe also where you go those amazing scarfs 😊
Arrive late to the viewing, but just finished watching! 🥰 Once again I have enjoyed hearing your lovely laughter together and your joy for life! The incredibly gifted and talented people who send you their art work are so impressive and you are such grateful and warm recipients! Thank you for another lovely LaLande experience!
I know you’re going to be redoing the facade, but I find that cracking on the tower so charming.
Stephanie, I think you have the most thoughtful and talented community on all of UA-cam. 🥰
Love Catherine's talent especially the garden of the nymphs gorgeous portrait. Almost Pre-Raphaelite 🖌️🎨 wow!!!
Those beautiful doilies would be gorgeous stitched on the front of solid coloured cushions or even several doilies framed together.
The peacock sounds prehistoric! Courtyard looks wonderful. So happy you are all enjoying it. Love the love the trees
The petit jardin in the court yard with gifts, ice cream on a stick and a handsome Dan with a new smile --- wow ! The wow factor has no bounds at LaLande. Happy spring, you all look wonderful as the season gets underway.
You do realize that you are all blessed…….I can not imagine the privilege it must be to live in a chateau in the middle of France with such amazing people , enjoy❣️
love, love, love the flirting between Philip and Stephanie, you really do bring the best out in each other. Wish there were more folk who can live and work in harmony together, ref to Nati, your an amazing asset to La Land. Thank you for letting us share a little of your amazing lives and all that goes on there. sending love xxx
On scarf wearing, when Stephanie said to Phillip “it’s only a matter of time” & he replied “fair” I lost it 🤣
The scarves are lovely, they would make great linings in jackets, you could use the current lining as a template or make a jacket from scratch. They could also be used to make great waistcoats or even window dressings.
Hi Susan , what a wonderful idea!!! Phillip could make a lovely one for Stephanie..as well as one for himself. They are a beautiful couple,
Best regards, Catherine Stenhjem ☺️☺️☺️
The scarves would also make a lovely skirt that swirls out as you dance
Stephanie, you should get a job reading books for audio books. You are an amazing reader.
I’ve often thought that as well! Or on tv doing narration!
@@stephaniewaters4931 you should get a voice over manager.
@@crinkle2649 I agree, Stephanie you had me transported in your reading of the tale!
Hi Stephanie. As another charity suggestion…please put together all the books, stories and poems that you so wonderfully read to us and we will all gladly donate to your charities by downloading it. It’s like going back in time to our own childhood memories of being read to and it’s such a warm fuzzy feeling. Bless you all 🥰
😊Yes, Teri, that would be a fabulous charitable 💰 income stream. Perhaps under the
🎁Cadeaux umbrella ☂️ bcos listening to it would be such a gift.
Not sure our 🗝Chatelaine has time ⏰️ for such an endeavor on her busy schedule, but Stephanie definitely has a lively & engaging voice that's perfection for 📖 literature of all ages. Might be fun to have other beloved ⚜️LaLander's (like Philip, Cat, etc.) read their favorite children's book, excerpt, or a small collection of poetry too.
Personally, I like replaying the ⚜️LaLande videos for audio alone👂when doing chores. Enjoy the laughter & camaraderie.
😘 Also tune into YT history or literature lectures as well as books-on- tape📚 while outside 🌱gardening🌿. Makes any task less boring & isolating.💸Bonus if the proceeds 🤑 benefit a charity, cause, or content creator I admire.

I love the idea of various La Landers reading to us. I agree Stephanie is stretched to the limit but a girl can dream. Can you imagine them all taking a character and transporting us to dream land.
@@tericapp9253 😊Huzzah! Yes, indeed that would be a delightful way to drift off to dreamland 💭.

Love Catherine's story! What a treat,
That poem was the icing on top of another fabulous vlog. What an amazingly talented woman who sent you all those beautiful paintings. Thanks for sharing
The delicate doilies were made from sewing thread - I forgot to mention that! And the Bay leaves are to keep insects away - I use them as moth repellant, though the nice scent is an added bonus!
Absolutely loved your poem and art .. so beautiful , you can feel the magic
Ms Bright, your work is superb! I hope that delicate skill is never lost. It will live beautifully at La LANDE . I’m honored to know that my Fairies will live there as well. ☺️☺️☺️
Catherine
💐 Stephanie H.: You've delighted us all by forwarding such🪡delicate needlework treasures to 🏰LaLande. Believe you can rest assured they'll find a clever way to utilize & honor your astonishing contribution 🎁.
😉Meanwhile, I'm going to check out your website 🖥 & 📚s. Also add some bay leaves🍃 to my doilies inherited from my 👵great-grans. Have them tucked away at present, but I don't need those moths to make a meal of 'em. 🙏Wish you every success on your ✍️writing & other endeavors.🕊God bless you!

@@catstone8589 🧚♀️Your fairies are absolutely magical. Cannot imagine a more enchanting 🏰place for your amazing artistic legacy to live on. Do you have an etsy shop or other outlet to sell them?
💜Loved the silk scarves you used to layer or pack your prized art in too. Your graphic tees were also beautifully done👏. Always amazed by the astounding talent & generous nature of viewers. 🙏May God bless you richly for your benevolence🕊.

@@teresacarle294 Bridget, thank you for your kind words! I look forward to seeing the lace in use. And bay leaves are a crafter's best friend for storage! 😉 Welcome to my site!
I found myself talking and pointing and laughing along with you all at the wonderful artwork and the many lovely gifts today. Such magic in a beautiful setting. Much love and thanks for bringing all of us with you.
What a magical journey,. Thank you Katherine... Loved your art and beautiful gifts they have brighten my day, touched my heart ,and awakened my imagination.. 🧚♀
Those are such beautiful doilies, love them! I make clay trays and love to use doilies for patterns in the clay! I'd love to use a few of these for patterns, they're so lovely. Your gifts were amazing, love the pictures that she drew and the beautiful scarfs too. What a wonderful day for all of those presents! (from Sandi)
The Doilies!!! Tatting is almost a lost art! My Aunt does it. They are lovely when washed and starched you can frame them then.
As I continue to binge watch your amazing videos, this one has been an enchanting journey of beauty and joy, such generous hearts and talents galore, laughter and frivolity with birds in one’s hair, I loved this adventure with Mr. Peacock a blaring. Thank you a million times over for filling my heart so full and giving me a big smile planted upon my face. Thank you Stephanie, Philip and Natie for a wonderful day❤
The image of you ripping the package apart...and the underside reading "fragile"...will be a personal best...among so so many!!!
Such a beautiful chateau unwrapped! Each and every gift was amazing. I love the joy and excitement on your faces as you open each gift. Thank you so much for the laughter and for brightening my day.
I must say I loved this Cadeau. It brought back so many memories. My mother was a prolific crocheter and she made some very fine and exquisite doilies and table cloths. That was so long ago. I drooled with envy when I saw all the coloured pencils and pastels and everything else that you received. A real treasure chest. But the sound of a peacocks brought back so many memories and I was transported back to much brighter days when I was younger. I shall play this over many times. I enjoy all your videos especially those where are you get into the middle of digging and planting and when you make your costumes…cook a meal and then become a fairy Princess. In other words I enjoy every video. I hope you never stop.
Wow what a parcel of greatness from Catherine, what a talent she has , loved all the colours in the parcel
Such beautiful beautiful gifts. To the people who made the gifts, you are so talented.
Such incredibly talented people who send such amazing gifts wow
Such a great poetic story, gorgeous art and lovely people at LaLande to appreciate it all💛
When you get the fairy pictures frames, it would be nice to have a sign attached stating the title of the art and the artist information.
Gosh, amazing and such generosity !! Those 🧚 🧚♀️ 🧚♂️ fairy paintings are so beautiful!! And the rest!! But also the beautiful handmade work of Stephanie from Switzerland was stunning!!
Both so talented and generous!! 💚🌿🌸
Marcelle Jose’phine, Thank-You for you kind words about my work, the fairy Art and the story. ☺️☺️☺️The doilies that Stephanie from Switzerland made are so lovely….I am amazed at the delicacy of her work. A skill that I hope is never lost. They will live forever in the lovely Chateau that we all have come to love and enjoy. Best regards, Catherine Stenhjem
Always good to see you three, and especially in your blooming courtyard!! I love the giant alliums and your new trees with so many leaves now.❣️
Friends always joked about my home being Grandma's house with doilies on the tables BUT... As I like old vintage glass (a lot of carnival glass) I explained that doilies are there to protect the tables (antique). Sometimes a pontil mark or the glass bottom edge of old glassware can have a sharp edge and scratch the finish on the table. Many items placed on a table can scratch it. I'll be a "Grandma" and continue to protect my tables. PS when my housekeeper was convalescing after surgery she would sneak into my house when I was at work measuring, fitting doilies she custom made for my tables.
What a magical story about Katie, loved it. Enjoy your week ❤️
☺️☺️☺️😘Thank-You Fiona JW
Loved everything!! Good idea to plan a nursery for guests and friends who come for parties ,or the weekend.
You receive so many things that are deserving of display. Is there one of the attic rooms that can be repurposed to a gallery room even if it is short term. The fairy drawings today need to be displayed.
The courtyard is beautiful.. I can hardly wit until the exterior walls are finished. If you photocopied the sketches you could have them available for guests to colour and take home as a Lalande souvenir. I'd love to see a video clip of Nati and co. Colouring them. Lots of love sent to you all. Also, could we learn a bit more about Cyril
Yes! What's Cyril's story?
Another marvelous vlog such beautiful scarves and drawings, you all are so blessed!
Wow, what sensational gifts! And even the small backdrop of courtyard and chateau looks ravishing in the beautiful sunlight, the purple alliums in front of the pastel blue shutters with the bright green plants, and the whimsical parasol, and Birds in the Hair! So many fairytale gifts in a most fabulous fairytale setting. What amazing artistry! So very pleasant to bask in. Many thanks, charming people. I admire all your many gifts.
Another amazing ,natural , fun vlog. You really are such lovely and beautiful people. So many wonderful gifts from someone so talented. The courtyard is starting to look so good and it now has an even more handsome gardener 😀 take care 🤗
I had to pause this fabulous video and I am so happy that I am able to come back later today to watch it all. The courtyard looks so beautiful.
Such stunning scarves and art and art materials. I loved the story!!! Lalande needs a story of its own. 😊🎶❤️💗🌺🌻🌸💐🎈👏👏👏🇨🇦🇫🇷
I like all the planting that has been going on in the various gardens this year, but I also really liked the charming plantings that you had next to your chateau in the courtyard last year. Perhaps the abundance of plants was more English cottage garden than the formal French plantings you have around your fountain, but it was wonderful (on screen, at least) and I miss it.
Best wishes,
Lindsey
You can make framed wall art with the doilies. they are varied sizes and colors. and cans be layered. I did it with my grandmother's crocheted doilies.
We did that with many of my Grandmother’s doilies…treasures.
They also make great window hangings by stretching them around a crochet ring.
The fairy paintings where absolutely breathtaking ❤️ if you ever redecorated the 'nursery' b&b room I feel like they would look incredible!
Love the fairies and allium flowers in the background
Wow what glorious gifts today! And the story and paintings at the end were so wonderful. Catherine has a rare talent for storytelling through her words and art.
I also loved the doilies. So delicate and colourful! A selection would be wonderful framed. The bay leaves also help with insect and vermin protection. Perhaps an idea for the Narnia wardrobes?
Thank you everyone at LaLande and around the world for the joy you spread through gifting! 🥰💓
Thank-You so much 🥰🥰🥰
Watching your videos is the only time I am glad to watch the advertisements & not press Skip Ad.
That Green lace around Natalie's neck would look great pulled together at the points and connected with a nice brooch. The Bay leaves are also very effective at keeping the bugs away including moths.
Wonderful! Brought tears to my eyes about what you did for this dear old lady. Please do cut off the bottom of that tree close to the drive way right up against the front of the house so she can see out that window. God bless you. You are a gift to so many people. Thank you so much for the help you give to others. Thank you.
Those gorgeous fairy prints would look wonderful laminated onto cork as placemats for a Spring luncheon.
Idyllic for sure! What a lovely picturesque scene as Stephanie reads to us all.
The fairy pictures and books would look great in the family suit/children's room . Such generosity blows my mind keep safe everyone xxx
Beautiful day to share with us! The doilies are so beautiful! I think the large white rectangular doily is for a table center.
Oh, yes, a Fairy inspired room! Sounds lovely.
Those paintings, pictures and Tee shirts were stunning. I love the lace doilies. My mom used to make them. The court yard is looking splendid as well. Thanks for sharing all the joy and laughter 😍😘
Superb generosity from people! The courtyard looks so pretty. Davey has real vision. x
that was a beautiful rendition of the Poem...absolutely loved it.......it is so gracious of you all to really appreciate others gifts and art....you take the time to appreciate every detail....it is just great!!...........in amongst Dan popping in with his new teeth and ice lollies!
The elf paintings are absolutely stunning. Now you need to create a magical, whimsical Elf Room at the chateau.
Stephanie the dollies are also beautiful framed in a layered collage. Those are are gorgeous! My mother made me a table cloth called the pineapple pattern. It will forever be a treasured piece for me as I know those dollies will be for you .
love, love, love, love, that artwork is amazing..Not enough words!
The doilies are stunning!!! The artwork with elves is fantastic!!!!! Love from Vermont
You unwrap so much talent too. Love it!
I love that you can use your courtyard for more things! I love it!
The very stuff of dreams! Catherine and Stephanie's boxes full of art and patterns and art supplies are the perfect creative inspiration for Lalanders and guests. For anyone else wondering, I noticed the pen set is Aen Art 160 gel pen pack (80 pens/ 80 refills)
Enjoying watching all of the Lalonde family
I loved Katherine’s most talented gifts. ❤️
Stephanie I could listen to you read all day! That was an amazing gift. Natty is always so beautiful. And Phillip just as charming as usual. I feel like I know all of you, that you are friends that I haven’t seen in ages, might sound silly I guess but I just love your channels. And all of the LaLanders
Catherine also love your story about Katy O,'Grady. Wow!!!
Thank-You Lynne🥰🥰🥰
Lovely gifts. The bay leaves are also used to ward off moths and mice. I put my pasta and flour in the freezer or refrigerator for a few days before I put it into jars but I keep some bay leaves In a mesh bag in the pantry as an added precaution . Maybe the bay was used in the doily box to keep bugs and moths from eating away at the thread. Such a beautiful variety of doilies with endless uses. The courtyard looks beautiful also. 😊❤️
Yes, exactly! I popped some into the box out of habit, because I use them all over in my craft room, with so much yarn and cloth, for warding off moths!
