I think there's potential for you to do a big Adv show off from bottom to top, Himalyan, Yezdi Adv, Vstrom, KTM adv 250-390 and the GS 310. Or maybe that's too much? Maybe you'll have to do a combine thing with Zigwheels for that?
Hey Team, One suggestion. The background music is loud compared to Varun's voice, which needs regular adjustment of volume (I tried watching in multiple devices and even in a TV). Just check if this is same with everyone and if yes, please do adjust the volume levels in the coming videos. It's a bit annoying! Great Work and keep it going.
Don't give any suggestions, they will never take it, for years and years people have been complaining about this and the problem gets more severe with more complaints. Even aliens have complained about this from exoplanets that the sound is reaching them and is irritating. I feel pity for those aliens and our humans.
It is like this for every video. When watching with every body the voice is lower than the music I need to keep adjusting the volume constantly. My mind is on the volume rather than the video.
Proud Gixxer 250 owner - there are few things which RE and Yezdi can't provide - Japanese reliability, smooth engine and gearbox with great low end , great handling, lower weight and service cost
Gixxers engine is made in India by Indian engineers unlike vstorm 650. So the thing about Japanese reliability doesn’t count here. But it’s still a great bike
All good, gem of an engine but that front mud guard will prove to be a major hindrance for anyone even remotely thinking of going on some muddy trails for a bit of offloading.
@@powerdriftofficial Indeed. I thrash my 200 Duke off road. I put high profile tyres on it, a bash plate and bar risers. But the stock 150 mm suspension travel is its Achilles' heel. The alloy rims are fine. Also, the stock ground clearance is 175 mm but with the tyres it is an inch higher so about the same as the Gixxer-Strom.
Does visor and wheel size upgrade costs 31K+? Must be an adjustable visor then. Maybe in the next review you can talk about, what are the differences between this and a regular 250. I would love to know how that 31k+ premium is justified. I am sure there are others as well.
Really happy Varun talked about the price point and how Yezdi and RE are almost in the same price bracket , but what about the ktm 250 adventure which is more expensive than the gixxer but more powerful as well , hope we get a detail comparo like the one PD did for the modern retro classics.

Yes, they should have offset its lack of off road chops with reasonable pricing. As good a road tourer as this bike is, it is not worth the 30k premium over the standard Gixxer.

But this feels like the one you can use daily for your office road and also for touring longer distances. Good in traffic good in plain roads and a hint of soft road tread. I guess it captures a gap in market rather than competing on a segment.
these Indian reviews always criticize Suzuki's bikes. it's not a total ADV because ABS can't be turned off. this bike will mostly use as a tourer bike, for very long-distance rides.

Loved the way you did the review..also loved the music. I too am looking for an upgrade from my Avenger 220 and am looking for a bike for 80% city use and 20% touring. The gixxer 250 is a gem of an engine and I think the vstorm will bring in more uses of the same engine. I value reliability and good engineering so that I can spend more time riding and less time fixing the bike. I feel Enfields and Yezdi are yet to reach there in terms of engineering and refinements.

You are right, we don't ride spec sheets. But when my current trail bike's front suspension bottoms out and shocks my shoulders, I realise that 150 mm is not enough. Can't imagine how 120 mm would feel! Actually, I can. It will be worse!
For a person who is buying for highway cruising ...riding comfort, ergonomics and seat is pretty good....but not for a person who likes to do hardcore off-road

Why is Suzuki India so lazy with their designs and features? Look at the competition. I have two gixxers, the 155 and the 250. I wasn't happy with some stuffs so I did some modifications myself. Suzuki recycles same engine and features between different lame designed bikes. It's really sad for us Suzuki fans. The headlight on this V-strom is from the naked 250 and the tail light is ripped off of an older gixxer 155. Why so lazy Suzuki? Learn to listen to us fans. Look at Yamaha. They have so many varieties available. And they sell well because they listen to their fans, customers.
Buzz is that Himalayan and Hero on the verge of launching new adv models. If that is under next 4-5 months, one can wait. But if it is taking more time than that, and we rule out Himalayan for the same reason, we are only left with ktm adv, gs310 and vstrom, in that segment. For somebody who majorly wants to ride it on Himalayas (Ladakh, spiti, other mountain passes etc) with a pillion a and luggage, what would be the better option? Or can we still consider current Himalayan inspite of knowing that they will soon launch 450 soon?

That's what my first impression is visually, is it a gs relaunch, only with a BS6 250 cc engine, makes it special all the more and a cue for me to consider it, though I still love my GS150R
The Gixxer 250 is a sleeper in it’s segment and didn’t get its credit. Hope that this can bring in a change. PS: the way sedans are fading and making way for SUVs, guess bike manufacturers are now concentrating on machines that are better on Indian roads.

go for v strom....as u already own the r15 in the past......v strom in every way better motorcycle than others in that budget....it's a all rounder motorcycle which will give u mileage as well as decent performance on highways
I am the same as you I have been owning the V2 for the past 10 years trust me once you ride v strom you'll never be able to go back to the V2 I now completely use the V STROM NOw
Real disappointment is Front suspension- aren't made for Off road, even for small potholes, rider can feel the sharp feedback; Heat dissipation wasn't that good!! Pillion height is taller IMO and footrest should have been mounted with rubber for lesser vibration !! Gear shifting for taller rider is painful,due to seating geometry! Clutch play is really small, you will always stall the engine at 1st roll. Should've designed the tail section lights better- Old gen Tail light without LED indicators are a turndown. At last-the price : competitively ok, but anyways its higher, without wire spoke and Long travel suspension!
At what rpm it goes to 100kmph in 6th gear? Any engine heating issues? Which bike should I go for classic 350 or VstromSx250 for touring considering the speeds of 90 to 100kmph max which engine is more comfortable at these speeds
The new classic 350 sorted so many issues the old classic had, both the bikes are comfortable at 100kmph...vstrom has better hardwares and specifically designed for road touring and with soft trails where the classic struggles. Do test ride...

There is nothing wrong with the Gixxer 250 to be honest. Its a modest motorcycle, not a great one

Its not a bad setup for should have had more suspension travel for sure.
