Just saw Mr. Newton's song & story show at the TN Theater in Knoxville on 9/14/2023. It was worthwhile because he played pedal steel guitar and violin. There were also clips of vintage TV appearances and lots of history to share. While the voice isn't so strong at 81 he still has much to offer the audience.
When I see this… I feel sorry for him and I think about Elvis… and that I am happy as an Elvis-fan, that I don’t have to see performances of Elvis like these. Sad bad true… Legends die young.

During the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard Trial, an older man STILL IN THE REVOLVING "Hollywood" SCHEMERS Clubs, hitting up people in the Entertainment Business for THEIR Bank Accounts--CONNING them to INVEST IN THEIR "FRAUDULENT" SCHEMES. I typed in the search box; Celebrities being RIPPED OFF by their managers/lawyers. . .I READ their HORROR STORIES all weekend {sad}.
Ten years ago his voice was gone😮. He totally depends on back up to get him thru. Uses the audience too much. Talks thru a song, rather than sing it. A pure sign, when a singer no longer can carry a song. Do your self a favor folks, save your money. Let the casino pay his $25 million + a year. Use your money their. On something more worthwhile and enjoyable.

Looks like he can still hold out that high 'A' note not like in his early recordings. But still in his natural real voice!

People forget. Elvis was Wayne's mentor who he held in high regard. Wayne is also known as the world's greatest Elvis tribute artist.
This is why you need backup singers. Makes a big difference.
