Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I have uploaded hundreds of shows over the years and the response to this single video really makes the effort feel worth it.
I was there last night- what an amazing show! I saw them in July 1986 at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley and in September 1989 at the Oakland Coliseum and the Shoreline. This time I took my husband and 22 year-old daughter. We felt so fortunate for this added night to the tour as we couldn't get tickets to the first. Thank you The Cure for adding another night!! It was so special to be able to see them again live, and they were absolutely brilliant. Thank you for this video- feeling a little sad that it's over, and this helps to relive it again!!
@@hipstervideo Yes! 'Alone', 'Endsong', 'I Can Never Say Goodbye' all really crush the soul. Such beautifully poignant songs (Robert Smith's voice and emotion combined with the lyrics) encapsulate our human experience. Thanks again and again and again and again!
I was there!! 8th Row Section 103! THANK YOU so much for THIS!! ☺️❤️🌹 I took some pics/vids but it so amazing to see the view from the other side of Shoreline! 🙏🤗❤️
When I saw them in Albuquerque last month I could not believe how Robert sounded....and here again!! He sounded like he did in the 80s!! And Nothing Is Forever...except, apparently, Robert Smith's voice.
I brought my wife and 11 month old daughter and my sister to this show. It was a beautiful night. We laughed. We cried. We sang. And we hugged. It was just such a beautiful beautiful evening. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you so much for getting this show in its entirety. I was there, with my daughter, and it was the show of my life. 2 encores, oldies, new songs and some that mean the world to me and saved me. I was shaking, in tears and so taken back that I am overjoyed that someone captured it to see again (and again and again and again….haha!) so I can appreciate without the crazy adrenaline! No really-endless thank yous to you for this! ❤
Been listening to Cure for about twelve months now. Never heard of them before now. I can't get enough of this group; A FORREST has to be my favorite; although I enjoy all of their music
What a great set list. Can't wait to watch it all at work tomorrow. We have to protect Robert, Simon, and this band with everything we have. They have brought so much to my life in the 30+ years I've been a fan.
We were at the show and it aa epic. It’s hard to express how good every band member was. The drums on Burn killed. Robert’s voice and guitar were perfect. Stellar event.
Me heartbroken and crying AGAIN bc I couldn’t see them. Timing has always screwed me over and they’re my bucket list band. I cried for so long knowing I wasn’t gonna be there. Still crying right now. Thank you for this. 🖤🖤🖤
We saw them in SLC. First time seeing them and WOW! What an incredible set and show! They aren't flashy or constant entertainment. It's the music and artistry!!!!!
I still have not seen The Cure live, so it’s my life’s ambition to do so: I’ve loved them since I was a wee lass. Thank you so much for sharing this; you’ve done a beautiful job capturing it.
They sound awesome and look like they are having more fun than ever. I worked on the construction of Shoreline amphitheater way back when. Glad to see it still delivers.
Thank you for posting this video! I got tickets this month for Madison Square Garden. The last time they played the Garden, the concert went past Midnight!! No one wanted to leave. Love The Cure❣
I was at this show and it was incredible. Thank you so much for posting this because it truly brings that magic all back to me and i feel it all over.I have told so many people about this concert and now they can see it for themselves. This was a night i will remember for all my life and you have captured that moment for all of us to see and enjoy whenever we want and i cannot thank you enough.
Thank you for this video. I was there on Monday, thanks to the extra show. I couldn't make it last time because my daughter was due in May 2016... She ended up being born in April 21st. I am a The Cure BIG fan since 13 years old (Born and raised in Mexico City). My daughter being born the same day Robert Smith was born is magical. I have tattooed Robert's face in my arm (many years ago) and The CUre's music in my soul.
The Sound of 🥺 Sadness, Pain, 😟 Isolation & loneliness😒 Since 1978 Simon Gallup & Robert Smith with (MTV's Help) Have Built an Artistic Goth Image of Great Music! 🎼 🎶 For those poor lost souls of despair 😮💨 😢anywhere in the 🌎 They found They're Music will always be The Cure!
Of course the Beatles wrote a lot of sad Songs also? But will The Cure Music last 200 years from now? Like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven! The Beatles, The Who 🇬🇧 They're is a True Natural Greatness of their Music 🎼 🎶 It's they're longevity! The Cure may endure after all? 🤔 Time will only Tell! For the Great Ones Always Last!
I was literally right in front of you one person to the left! This was one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had. Thank you for capturing it from my point of view. This happened with Arcade Fire as well. So fun to get to relive these shows.
Simon has more energy than the entire band put together. Lol That fucker doesn't age. At least Robert's voice doesn't. Great performance! Edit: And shout out to Reeves for adding some necessary flavor to some old favorites.
Thank you for the video! We were there Wednesday night in Portland and they were amazing. So glad I finally got a chance to see and hear Robert Smith and the band in person ❤
I’m so envious of this show, I just saw them in San Diego and while it was great they didn’t play 3 imaginary boys or Primary. Dang, I really wish I could’ve seen that live as well. Otherwise what a fantastic show. Whoever gets lucky enough to hear Other Voices is gonna get such a treat, they played Faith in SD.
Saw them on 5/27, so so happy to see this also! Thank you SO much for this! Bucket List concert for me and my partner. His voice is the same voice we have cooked to in the kitchen for the last 20 years. Amazing :)
What a concert! Not a fan of the venue but enjoy the concert very much. Really appreciate the band for playing almost 3 hours and making the show affordable for fans to attend. Robert Smith is the best! Had the chance to bring my little ones and they were dancing to the music. Loved it! Thank you for uploading the concert.
Thanks for shooting , looks like the video is blocked but the music is fine , on the venue v, I went to see shania Twain the night before and waited like 2+ hours at the exit 1/2 mile from the shoreline. Once at the lawn - nobody let us walk past and had to force 4 seats on the lawn in 4 different spots. Once my partner left for food was never able to get back to us - so if you go , go very. Very early - total bummer as half our group could not watch any of the concerts , glad we paid $75 and not hundreds . I’ll drive to Sacramento or concord in the future just as fast
Amazing how times have changed. 23 years ago at this same venue, the Cure had security guards confiscate a minidisc recording from a microphone that was reasonably well-disguised in my hat. I was standing towards the back of the covered area and guards must have been scanning the crowd for recording devices. Now people stand right in front of the stage making video recordings.
I saw them this past Saturday and they put on an amazing show!!! I have a new found appreciation for the cure and I say thank you for being a part of my soundtrack in my life I'm forever grateful
I was at this show at the back of the lawn. It sounded amazing but I couldn’t see the band only the screens. Now I can see and it sounds amazing! Thank you for posting! 😊
@@hipstervideo wow! Both shows! Awesome. I will definitely go again next time around. Robert still sounding so wonderful and it seems he is really enjoying playing live. I hope he goes on forever ♾️
Thanks for posting!!!! What an incredible show. The band sounded amazing. Great night for music fans. We sat it Section 202.......thanks again for posting!!!!!
Thank you for uploading this! I must say this past Memorial day weekend was the best in my life - in regards to concerts. I attended both of these shows at Shoreline, which also bookended the Duran Duran concert I attended on Sunday night at the SAP Center... it was an amazing weekend! I had lawn tickets for Saturday's show, so when the second show was announced I made sure I was able to get seats. And boy I'm sure glad I did, as the second show was much better - obviously the seating was better, but this was the best set list they played in the five times that I've seen them. I went to Saturday night's concert with a coworker and when I told him about the set list for Monday's show.... he was so jealous😀
This is incredible! I’m from SJ and went to many a show there. Best venue ever!!!! One our friends worked every show behind one of the bars for 3 decades (‘70s thru early 2000s) but I currently live in AZ- couldn’t make the trip out… so bummed but soooo thankful your took this video of the show!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you! 💜🎸
Thank you for such a great video! I was there with my lady for her first Cure show, we had a blast, but were up top and couldnt see well. This is such a gift to see it as well. As a nerd guitar player, i always love to see folks actually play their instruments! Cheers
Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I have uploaded hundreds of shows over the years and the response to this single video really makes the effort feel worth it.
You had amazing seats for sure.

Thank YOU. So grateful that you posted it.
Best concert ever!!!!!!!!!
Love the way Rob Smith walks the stage in appreciation of the crowd before he starts singing 😊
Class!

I'm going through the same withdrawals. Will probably be spinning a lot of their records for the next few weeks

I saw them at that Greek Theatre show too! And at Shoreline I think it was 1992...
Sad to miss them this last weekend, but glad for this video!
WOW! Robert Smith sounds exactly like he did in the 80's!!! AMAZING! What a LEGEND!
He sounds great. From the edge of the deep green sea sounds amazing. 👌

Sad to report that I'm missing like eight songs. My phone can only do about two hours of recording and he played for three. :/

Pictures of You is one of my faves; hearbreaking but ecstatic. Perfect as ever. Super triggering😅
Flew across the country to go to this show. Great time!
Brilliant................as usual...,..
Thank you for shooting this, whoever used their incredible seats to give us this gift.
Great video❤
So grateful to have seen them perform live.
One of my favorite bands growing up. It makes me happy that this entire tour has sold out.
Did anyone else lose it when he started playing Three Imaginary Boys? 🤯 Shout out to everyone that made it to both nights!
I saw them last night in Seattle. What an incredible production. Love this band.
