settlements like Duna, Mun or Tylo could probably launch, but the only one that’d make sense is the Mun. You’d have lots of mass savings and an easier time with a brachistochrone trajectory, but the gravity would be very harsh to native Mun colonists; you’d have to accelerate slower, no more than 0.5g, and the gravity of Eve would be crushing and dangerous for long durations, coupled with the mission hardware being supposedly cutting edge and advanced technology to enable the mission, it makes sense that this is a Kerbin mission 🤷♀️
It's very cool! The only thing that bugs me is... How'd they fit their huge helmets trough those tiny hatches? Downscaling crew modules... I'm glad the mission didn't take too long, for the crew's sake. They're in there like canned tuna 😂
@@timspiker I wanted the lander to look as light as possible for it to "work" on eve. Also, the interior probably wouldn't be able to fit an airlock so it is just depressurized space just used to get kerbals from the surface to orbit.
@@axoodle I decided just to use the cheat menu lol. But I'm sure it's possible to make an Eve SSTO that size by editing part cfgs and a lot of clipping.
the music from the expanse soundtrack in the beginning was an excellent touch :)
I used the name Prometheus for a Jool 5 mission, its just such a good name for a spacecraft. awesome mission

@@LlamatheLlama6 I couldn't find a mod that adds city lights to the planets but I want one. I manually added it onto there in editing.
You need to make a whole episode on those SSTO's

@@axoodle I've done something similar before with ion engines to make propulsion for my alien ship, so it's probably not that hard.
@@axoodleAlso in my experience it's always easier to modify parts from mods so consider that.
