100,000k views!!! You guys have made my whole year. Thank you so much for watching and stay tuned for another mission coming soon(tm)! It'll have something to do with wormholes and superheavy-refining! :)
My good!!! An awesome video!!! My favorite part is between 01:40 and 03:30, specially the part where the spinning gravity arcs are getting in position... So awesome!!!!
@@jackcasseyes Matt, I paid $60 for a sequel and got a half baked unfinished game with a lot of promise and ZERO communication from the devs on what the fuck was going on with it. I’m pretty pissed.
My most recent gaming heartbreak, this. I think my first was Spore. I mean I played it to death anyway but I remember seeing it in development and I was so excited. Then it just wasn't what it was supposed to be. Sad boy.
This is really, really well made. The whole assembly process is especially my favorite part. The fact that most KSP builds of this scale are typically "Single stage to orbit" always feels like a missed opportunity to make the build feel more realistic, like this one. And all the other details, like the braces for the heat shield to prevent it from collapsing, are things that I wish to see more often!
Thank you so much! I pretty much grew up with the game and it's various creator members. I wanted to put as much effort into what may be the last of these kinds of videos I ever make (now that science is the focus)! Thank you for watching!
Absolutely love the design, I really wish there was more media that made use of realistic designs for spacecraft on this scale such as being in a tractor config for better tensile strength and have a mushroom cap style shield on the front. The only two I can think of are the ISV Venturestar from avatar and the ships from the starcarrier series, which is a shame because this style has such an awesome mix of gracefulness and raw power when the engines are burning. Great work man
You might like Revelation Space in this case! All interstellar ships are these colossal hulks that are actually streamlined because all spacetravel in the setting is sublight! They have these gigantic reinforced ice hulls infront of the actual hull of the ship to absorb the impact of interstellar particles when the ships are travelling at interstellar speeds (usually about 99% of the speed of light) Starship crew are also their seperate own culture, same goes for the spacers that mine the ice and construct those shieldhulls
@@dz883 I'll for sure check it out! I love when you can tell fantastical stories while still staying true to reality. It gets people to think about things more often! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! More realistic looking ships are way more interesting than the curvy 'corvette' style sci-fi ones. Both are cool but the realistic ones always have plausible tech that makes people think! Thanks for watching!
My upload schedule is atrocious lol the algorithm will never pick it up. I make it for the fun of doing something I don't really see from other KSP channels that make similar vids. Thanks for watching and sub to see a whole lot more ksp ships used in science videos!
I don’t usually comment but I wanted to say, amazing video! Everything is top notch, from showing us the ships as they fly to the editing. Perfect, no notes.
Seeing some awesome inspired parts here, the gold disk from the Icarus II in Sunsine, the spine, solar array, and the long trapezoidal side thrusters from Avatar Way of Water. Looks great man
Framerate? Nonexistent. And I love it. Can't wait yo get good enough at rendezvous to do big things like this, instead of planning a real-time duna mission
Incredible stuff here dude, I wish I had half your patience and editing skill! Also, it's so good to see that KSP is still alive and going strong, there's simply nothing else like it
The creator in the description: “I just wanted to build something cool and fly somewhere I had never tried to reach” That was my exact thought process when I put together my Kcalbeloh expedition video (to be specific, the video was titled The Undead Star). In summary, that was a very relatable quote
I just checked your video out and hot damn is it impressive!!! Your ships are truly massive and technically impressive! Where in the world is the black hole coming from? A mod?
@@SiriusScience it comes from the Kcalbeloh system mod which adds the black hole, 3 star systems (including a binary pair of stars) and around 20 planets and moons to explore, from rocks smaller than gilly to a pair of binary gas giants. It’s a great mod, especially because it’s compatible with a lot of visual mods like EVE, Scatterer and Parallax
I feel like i couldn’t trust my own eyes seeing this video, I’m a ksp player too, man…this vid is really awesome, I never saw such a realistic ship like this even in the big KSP YT channels. Pls more, more, mooooore. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷💫🌎🚀
Pretty much one of the most spectacular motherships I've seen on KSP - gave me Alien Covenant vibes. I bet there is a decent blooper clip where things didn't quite go to plan 🙂
@@daveperks6108 Lol perhaps. My favorite bug was when I loaded the entirety of the ship and the kraken squished it down as flat as a pancake and then detonated it!
I recall a sci-fi story once which mentioned an alien spacecraft a million miles long and made of solid gold. I'm not convinced this is a practical form of interstellar transport - but who knows? It certainly captured my imagination. I can't remember the title of the story either...........
That description is a novel, no less. If multi-threaded physics wouldnt be such a herculean task to make, the game performance would be so much better. For this game, a cpu with massive single core performance is much more important than having more cores, the gpu actually plays very little role in this game. High part count will absolutely bring any cpu to its knees.
I know that you provided the mods shown in this video in the description, but can you provide a full mod list? I would really appreciate it for my new game I'm starting.
Cool video, but I noticed a minor design flaw. At 2:36 you have two arms extending further out than the interstellar dust shield goes. If the ship were moving at realistic velocities, those would be busted by interstellar dust.
In my mind I needed to clear the shield to communicate both ways with Kerbin. If it were pointing towards the destination the shield would block all communication until the slowing burn was finished. I wonder if there's a mod that would add dust collisions lol.
Hmmm I sense giant blue lemur cat things in the near future- Wait where have I seen this before? Jokes aside, pretty impressive intersolar colony carrier. Not exactly sold on the placement of those engines but I'm guessing that was ultimately more of a parts restriction than a design choice.
@@Ch-64Chinnok Damn. I can’t change anything about ads until I unlock monetization and can select which one or any at all that show. Still too small to control ads!
This deserves som kind of Cinematic award! Absolutely AMAZING! If i could ask, what mod added that cokcipit for your SSTO?Also How was the mission profile and how did you create the manuever to go interstellar because i know that when you go outside kerbols SOI the lines disappear?
The mod for the cockpit (and a ton of other interesting plane parts) is OPT Spaceplane. The maneuver was done by eye, as yeah the line would never connect. So I made a tiny ship and did a Kerbin exit burn at multiple angles until I found the right one for the Fermi mission. I did find that the star barely moves so the transfer can be quite generous! Thank you for watching! I may do more of these with how well received this video was!

How the Planetary Base Modules deployed on that lander was purely amazing.♥️
I can not wrap my head around the amount of time, effort, and talent it took to create this video.
