Angus young was 19 when the band started and released their first video " it's a long way to the top ( if you want to rock and roll ) , it was filmed in my home city Melbourne Australia
I saw AC/DC live, for the very first time, at one of the "Day On The Green" concerts at the Oakland Coliseum in the summer of 1978. I was 21. I'd never heard of the band before that, and hadn't heard their music. I was blown away, and so were all my friends who had gone to the concert with me. And judging by the reaction of the crowd, and the comments I heard, so was just about everyone else there. Bon Scott was special.
Thank goodness you chose a Bon Scott version of this song. Brian just never had that cheeky twinkle in his eyes. Angus was not even 20 when they started and iirc, Bon was the oldest at 29 or so.
I was 15 when Bonn Scott passed away. ACDC MUSIC, helped me through a very dark part of my youth. I love all ACDC MUSIC!!! ONLY 3 metal groups gave me the tenacity to carry on. ACDC, RONNIE DIO, & ROB HALFORD of Judas Priest.
Angus was born in 1955. So if this was done in 76 when the record first came out he was 20-21, depending on recording date. But he was and is tiny so the band was usually telling journalists that he was around 15-16, which he could pass for being of that small stature.
Written by the late Bon Scott, RIP, the late Malcolm Young, RIP, and Angus Young. Bon Scott on lead vocals. Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar and his youngest brother Angus Young on lead guitar 🎸. RIP George Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott. Produced by George Young and Harry Vanda. George was 1 of the older brothers of Malcolm and Angus. This song and the album share the same title. George Young and Harry Vanda would produce the remaining AC/DC albums until 1979. Then, AC/DC hired a young Mutt Lange as producer for the next 3 albums. The next decade Mutt Lange would write, produce, sing backing vocals or any combination for Huey Lewis, who was with Mutt Lange before AC/DC, Foreigner, Thomas Dolby, Def Leppard, Loverboy The Cars, Heart and Billy Ocean at their peaks or near peaks in the 1980s. Mutt Lange could retire in 1990 but chose not to. He worked with Bryan Adams, Michael Bolton, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and Shania Twain in the 1990s. Suggesyed videos 📹 1 AC/DC with Bon Scott performs Highway to Hell. 2 Huey Lewis and the News perform Do You Believe in Love? 3 Billy Ocean performs When.the Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going 4 Loverboy performs Lovin Every Minute of It.
This is 1976, so Angus Young is 21 here and Bon Scott wrote almost all the song lyriics(outside maybe a song or two, and of course not any of the few cover songs that they did in their very early albums)
This is from an Australia tv show. There were no such thing as videos yet. This was when Angus was about 23, Bon was 32ish, and the rest were in between.
Malcom wrote all the music Bon all the lyrics, both were true geniuses. Anything on the albums 'Powerage' and 'Highway to Hell' is a hit, then 'Back in Black' with Brian not a bad song on them all
my dad said to me about 1987 I think? "I do not like acdc, but somehow, they are a part of you, and I respect that". he then proceeded to over time have several of my acdc vintage stuff profesionially framed/mounted. i would notice a piece missing and bam! birthday present, Christmas present, even gifted from him to me on fathers day ! I miss my dad!!!!!!!
Agree, Bon era song are always sung better by Bon, though Brian does a great job even now in his 70s. I find there’s that group of people who sling shit at Brian constantly, which I think is quite unfair considering he wrote/co-wrote the songs on all albums 1980-1990 (Young Brothers wrote everything razors edge onwards).
I saw this live to air when I was a kid. Countdown. 6:00pm Sunday night. Most bands on this show were expected to mime (for staging/ technical reasons) but Bon always got to sing live. Listening to this makes me wonder if they thought Bon couldn’t be trusted to remember the words🤷🏻♂️ At least four unforced errors in the lyrics here (and one forced)🤣
I like Bon's humour. Brian's vocals sound to me that they come from the depths of Hell - which I'm told is a not entirely inappropriate description of Newcastle x
Finally, you are in the Bon-Scott-time. Bon is the second greatest frontman of all time. These are VERY early videos, with Angus teeth still basically nonexisting... The song itself is great. Listen to his message :D Oh, and you can watch a guy with tatoos as nobody had some. Bon was a real ROUGH guy. He lived fast and died as a rock star should die. Overdosed with heroine (one story) or overdose of alcohol and freeze to death in london after a tour through the bars). By the way, the song came out in 1976 and Angus Young (the guy in the school uniform) was 20-21.
Little girl in the middle is so cute. Probably grew up on Taylor Swift and she's here trying to make sense of 70's era AC/DC, the hardest, meanest rock n roll there ever was lol. Mom picked up on Bon's vibe right away, and she's right. Bon wrote the songs that mattered, and without Bon AC/DC just became heavy metal, nothing all that special.
I love how he messed up the lyrics in this. Still sounded great LOL I love Brian Johnson and he was heaven sent after Bon's death really. Such a great fit for this band but Bon Scott had that extra something special. You can have all the talent in the world but not have what Bon Scott had. He also added that extra bit of menace to AC/DC's music that made their earlier stuff so much more controversial and edgy IMO . AC/DC, perhaps the best true Rock and Roll band ever. Proof that success is not only measured in #1 hits on the charts. I saw AC/DC 5 times live and they never failed to disappoint....never !!!!
How good was Bon Scott?...wailing like an alley cat, he gets molested on stage and hardly misses a beat...he probably caught up with those girls post concert...a true rock God! And yes early ACDC has a very distinctive lyrical leaning to sexual innuendo...quite clever a lot of it.
nice to see your reactions......your daughter has good taste in music........and the mom........she has just discoverd the world of heavy metal :).......maby im wrong...:) i got a new one for you if you are curious, Tommy Johansson ......guitarist from the amazing band Sabaton.......just saying....:) Greate channel :)

Cool choice of video for DDDDC. Back when television appearances were often made with the band pretending to play along to the original studio version but the singer is performing live. Also back when AC/DC were kind of an Australian boy-band.
Never a day in his life did or would Bon Scott front a boy band. If you can't tell the difference between this and the boy bands of the day, I don't know what to tell you.
@@bernie4366 Right. The guy who was in The Valentines would never be in a boy band. I got to see them in 1976 before anyone in the USA knew who they were. Bon and the boys rocked the house that night. 🔥🔥
Correction .... 1977
I saw them in 83 at tingly coliseum in Albuquerque new Mexico

There been so many changes in the group since 1977 when I first saw them a cbgb in nyc in 1977 great live band great music
One of the saddest pics I've ever seen was Angus holding .Malcolm's guitar behind his hearse.
Bon Scott added a Bad Boy attitude to the bands performances, their musical talent is just fantastic. Listen to the Money Talk, try that one out
Awesome rock pioneers
Great choice! Try their “Thunderstruck” too!
Looking over the old vids. Nice to see the Big Daddy here! As a 49 year old guy, I love it! 😁

On a European tour today, seen live in concert, but not with Bon Scott, with B.J. awesome show yay, good review by u guys yeah 🤘😆🤘🎸🎸🥁🎤
Love This Song Its an AC/DC Classic! Theirs a Live Version Brian Johnson Does Of This Track It's Pure 🔥🔥🔥 Too.
For AC/DC you should show them live performances from River Plate in Argentina, this show is unbelievable and the crowd is huge and insane.
No, the Goes To College show is how AC/DC should be seen.
LOL, Dave Evans was their first singer There is a video with Dave singing "Can I set next to you girl"
Check out Let There Be Rock official video by AC/DC. Angus might be a teenager in it! Bon is a lot older than the rest of the boys. Cheers
hey my man tnks from brazil , put this chuildrens on time kkkkkkkkkkkkkk, bon scott = god a real master ever
Love AC/DC. Love this album.
Back in the '80's this song was everywhere.
Weird Al did a hilarious parody you should look at.
I learnt they got the inspiration for this song from a 1961 cartoon where the cartoon character had a card that said 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap'.
Sooooo rare!!!!!!. I've never this concert in my life!!!!!!!!!!!
Malcom wrote all the music Bon all the lyrics, both were true geniuses. Anything on the albums 'Powerage' and 'Highway to Hell' is a hit, then 'Back in Black' with Brian not a bad song on them all
Once again it has to be said: AC/DC is Bon Scott; Black Sabbath is Ozzy; Genesis is Peter Gabriel; and Marillion is Fish.

Bon Scott the best frontman in Rock and Roll.
Angus was about 17-18 then.
