I've had the emgo case on the back of my KLR for over three years now, and it hasn't failed me yet after thousands of miles of gravel roads, potholes, and washboards. For something cheap and made of plastic, it really is impressive.
I've been riding with the EMGO top box for three years now and it's still going strong (except the brand sticker vanished at some point). Re: waterproofing, I did not submerge it in water but the box has seen its fair share of torrential downpours and I never found a drop of water inside. One of the best piece of motorcycle gear I've purchased for sure. Not like the two sets of Viking saddlebags I purchased that started disintegrating after a couple of years...
EMGO rear case is water proof, I had two of them over past 10 years. beware that the plastic base plate will break after about 2 years, then the case will fall off the bike (happened to me twice), it is overall a decent case with good value. but now I upgraded to SHAD 45 for more carrying capacity. enjoy your video, cheers mate.
I just recently got that br3400 and no instructions... was wondering how to securely attach to the seat. Now I got a starting point thanks to you. Your videos are always so entertaining and informational. Thanks for all you do :)
Just bought my second Emgo Travel Trunk (new bike). It's great to have a place for my helmet.that's inexpensive, secure and not as huge and heavy as the other brands.
Sport bike cop-out. I've had a Nelson Rigg CL1040-ST on the passenger seat of three sport bikes in the last 7 years. One bag - 7 years. It comes in a sport model (S), regular size (no designation), and the ST that I have. ST is big enough to hold a full face helmet when expanded. It's my grocery shopper. There is a larger one than the ST but I wouldn't get it because it's much wider and considering that most sport/sport touring bikes don't have very wide passenger seats I think it would be unbalanced. I currently ride a 2018 MT-07 and the ST fits beautifully. I think I paid $120 USD or so. Much better than the Cortech super 2.0 . I had one of those a long time ago. Wide and floppy. The Nelson Rigg also doubles, for me, as a back rest - especially when fully expanded.
Years ago Cargo made some nice tank and tail bags. I own one of each and both are expandable. I think they came from the UK? I can't get them anymore. Both of what I have a perfect for my needs. The tank bag is a tad large for around the town daily rides so I use a smaller tank bag. But for over the road, there's none better. My tail bag is perfect for both daily rides and over the road since it's expandable. I have not seen any other tank bag made by anybody that fits my needs better than my Cargo Tail Bag. Good video, informative. Barry
I got an emgo top trunk based off your recommendation for my dr650. Thank you so much for showing me this gem. I would have bought it from yall but i believe at the time y’all weren’t selling in the states. Love your videos and prospectives.
Top Cases and tail bags make the motorcycle unsteady .. especially if loaded.. Loading to the side keeps the extra weight under control. A tank bags and soft saddle bags are better.
The Emgo on my 05 Wee-Strom is a stickered up taped together ugly thing. Cheap and being run into the abyss but still locks. Would I buy another one? Maybe but I probably will cover a milk cartoon with light wood and thin metal than paint black so my buddies will the joy I replaced it!
What is your recommendation for a commuter, a waterproof bag or a travel trunk (top case)? I'm a professional who carries a laptop, lunch, and a change of clothes and shoes.
As a State-sider who is frustrated with this country's lack of adoption of the metric system, I am grateful that you don't convert units in your videos to Imperial. Thank you!
hey so I've started watching your videos I do have a question about packing work gear as I work construction in a lot of mud so I need rubbers and a construction helmet plus other gear been considering riding to work in a few months so would any of these fit the boots and how washable is the inside for instance if I got mud in it
MrEye4get I use Givi WP400, I believe. 40L weather proof TPU bag, very similar to the Firstgear in the video. It may be discontinued, but current EA115 is pretty much identical.
Hey Ryan, just bough both of them in the 70L version. They are the same item! Same fabric, same sewing, same everything. Even the "Made in China" tag is in the same spot. For the front pouch, I can only notice a piece of orange zipper pull tab on the MSR version. Different print and colors of course :) Cheers.
Alexandre Fortin I use Givi 40L waterproof bag, very similar in all respects, including price, serves me well for several years. The only downside -- it comes with simple bungee cords for mounting, won't work with just any moto.
You need to do updates on all these equipment videos. I'd like a more relevant review including the more modern releases. Same can be said about your phonemount reviews
I need something for my Africa twin anyone have recommendations ? I have 100$ Amazon gift card willing to spend a little more I need to Carry tools and my chain matninace stuff and some cloths. Basically back pack size or bigger. Possibly a helmet if I go pick up a chick willing to remove stuff.
I like you commentary, however, you are no way correct with the title, these are arguably definitely not the best, credible yes, but not the best. Need to consider your titles or lose your viewers

Kriega was missed. Best bag I ever bought for my bikes is my US20.
Just bought my second Emgo Travel Trunk (new bike). It's great to have a place for my helmet.that's inexpensive, secure and not as huge and heavy as the other brands.
I have purchased most of my kit having watched your reviews, great job and keep it up please. Thank you.
Outstanding production quality man ! Really useful reviews too, thanks :)
Kriega makes excellent tail bags.
yes they do, never ride without my us20 tailbag. Been with me through 3 bikes now.
Love my US20 too!

I bought similar roll-top dry bags from Moose Racing. They work great!
Ryan, you really need to turn the lighting up. It's very difficult to see the detailing with black luggage.
1990 please do....hard to see videos... lights may have to follow your zooming
I was about to say this.
Great tip I wish I had before my last ride, do not put a full tower bag on the luggage rack! Snapped a bolt on my ride.
Do a more updated version of this please mate
I have a wolfmann 80 litre waterproof duffle, its awesome
I love my wolfman duffle
Love the BR3400 on my Harley pillion seat. Saddleman also has a slightly smaller model the BR1800.
Top Cases and tail bags make the motorcycle unsteady .. especially if loaded.. Loading to the side keeps the extra weight under control. A tank bags and soft saddle bags are better.
Kriega Drypack range are great. For something cheaper try Lomo.
Make one for storing handguns please. Like some type of lock box

exfil80 is the best bag I own for my sissy bar on my triumph America.
What about the bags from Nelson Rigg for sport bikes and naked bikes.
hey so I've started watching your videos I do have a question about packing work gear as I work construction in a lot of mud so I need rubbers and a construction helmet plus other gear been considering riding to work in a few months so would any of these fit the boots and how washable is the inside for instance if I got mud in it
No Givi bags in the Best of 2016?
MrEye4get I use Givi WP400, I believe. 40L weather proof TPU bag, very similar to the Firstgear in the video. It may be discontinued, but current EA115 is pretty much identical.
Where do you mount the sissy bags? You people don't have saree guard right?
Awesome
Any tips : MSR Xplorer vs firstgear torrent? :)
They're pretty much identical. Normally I'd say buy the cheaper one, but they're identical in price too. Flip a coin? ~RyanF9

is that a Bell mx-9 adventure helmet on the top shelf?
Indeed. Well spotted. ~RyanF9
His reviews are really good except for he reminds me of a Best Buy geek doing it

that little purse

Ah he was such a young lad back then lol
Ok, I realize this is a bit left fieldish, but does anyone know of a top- or tank-case that will also be allowed as carryon luggage in flights?
DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!
I don’t even care that this is an ad.

where was the bags for sportsbikes? You just picked the ones for shitty harleys or touring bikes. :(
Where tf u gonna put one of these on a sport bike 😂
