I used to work for a warehouse, getting freight ready to load trucks. We worked until completion and was told so when hired. About 3 months in, we lose a few people, shifts go from 9 hours to 10, which was fine at first since they told us they got more hires to cover the work. 3 more months go by, we are working 14-hour shifts, and there are no new hires. More people have left, and some of the ones that stayed are starting to call out and leave early. Can't blame them for how the situation was. But it was still frustrating. Suddenly, we are working 16-18 hour shifts for about two months straight. We were lucky to get put after 14. But then, one week, it was just me and 3 others working. We worked anywhere between 17-20 hours. There would be times when we would just sleep in the break room so we could get back to work 3 hours later. That week, I had 93 hours on my paycheck, and I quickly quit after. No amount of money is worth torture and depression. I spent one year of my life in that hell hole. Never again
We had a CEO like this when I worked for Rite Aid (subsidiary), our Christmas bonuses were cancelled 17 days before Christmas. Many quality employees were let go (or left) because of her ‘direction’ ideas. She was finally fired in January.

The second interview: the interviewer forgot... So I needed to reachedule. Already frustrated by the charade, I considered it a red flag. Delivery service if their furniture is slow and comms about the order is shockinf. Just avoid it. There are companies which produce quality the out of patent furniture, provide good service, and do not abuse your wallet or own employees.

I work for a local coop, we made more money this year and got less of a bonus. When the management in my company went to complain to the board of directors they made sure to complain for all of us, and we got a bigger bonus. I work for a local coop, we made more money this year and got less of a bonus. When the management in my company went to complain to the board of directors they made sure to complain for all of us, and we got a bigger bonus. Still not exceptional but definitely better than being told leave pity city

I've not yet had a leader who didn't speak like this to employees. In fact, this was far more tame than what I've experienced both as a nurse and working in private school education: lack of empathy, relatability, & tone deaf. I wish more people felt safe enough to expose them. “Treat people well” -she gives great advice, but doesn’t take it herself😮
On an unrelated note, she chose her medical team well b/c her 54 y/o face looks fantastic. Evidence of her own generous bonus. I read a statement recently: there are no longer ugly people, only poor people.

It's only disgusting because it shows how top heavy these corporations are now. If it becomes a nation of serfs, where busting your a** affords most a life barely better than being in prison, it will fail.

We all should right to access great design without the excessive price tag they use. This was the mid-century modern original designers philosophy and motivation.
