UK 81yrs: ❤thanks Jules. I used your alternative quad stretch from another video. Otherwise wheelchair friendly ❤ wardrobe mirror shows me that neck does not stretch ear to shoulder but it gets a little stretch. My hands stretch down more than they used to. ❤

With your wonderful videos, I started with the chair exercises & stretches to get some mobility back, and feel better (I was feeling frail compared to years of better physical condition). Together (you & me) we did it! I'm back to brisk walking again!! Now, when I want a quick, gentle stretch or take a movement break- I go right to your channel and always find just what I need! Best complete body stretch! I didn’t have to try to twist into a pretzel. You hold the stretches for adequate amount of time. This will be the stretch routine I use daily.

It looks as though you gave us a taste of a small portion of Santorini, Greece. I've been there. It was magical, as were so many of the islands there that I traversed by sailboat. Most of my stretching routines cover lower and upper body which would definitely give him a good routine. My suggestion is for him to try some of them, see which ones he likes and then try to do a stretching routine daily. I’ll have a new seated one up in the next few weeks on the chair channel.
Hello Jules, thanks for this stretching session, really worked for me (I’m from Flanders (Europe) and in Dutch we would say ’dit heeft echt goed gedaan’). Just to be honest, I read some of the other comments, all from women, while I am a 68 yr old male... if this is a problem, please say so ; I will blame UA-cam anyway, because you popped up in my daily suggestions, lol. In one of your early videos (an easy 10 min walking exercise) you asked for our opinions or suggestions. If there is one thing I could ask, it would be fewer ’no talking’ vids. Having someone explain moves and stretches clearly, def makes a difference and simply is more pleasant imo. Anyway, thanks again, off to do the breathing & mindfulness part of this routine, bye !

I think that once Covid backs off the lobby will have no room for chairs. The locker rooms have chairs. I was just trying to fill the void in the lobby since Y attendance has dropped so much. You can do stretching every day...I recommend it actually! I think I already added the link in an earlier comment but I'll include it again just in case. This isn't something I keep track of since I focus more on healthy movement, not calories burned (also because every body is different and the calories burned wouldn't be the same for everyone).

I wish the local YMCA had not removed all the chairs from the lobby. We gather there to wait for our group of runners and walkers to assemble and we could be stretching using chairs. You have a standing stretch right? Love all of your sessions that I have done. Thank you, Charlie in Syracuse NY.
I don't have a standing stretch video simply because I find most people on my channel want the seated stretch. I could create one, though.
@@ImprovedHealth Thanks. Your right. Most of the folks I know are over 70 but still active with hip and knee replacements. Chair stretches work well. I think that once Covid backs off the lobby will have no room for chairs. The locker rooms have chairs. I was just trying to fill the void in the lobby since Y attendance has dropped so much. Moving forward with hope. Thanks for responding.

@@ImprovedHealth No no. I stretch at home in a chair. I was just blue skying, what if the running and walking group could sit in a part of the Y lobby and chair stretch before going out. We do stretch standing up before going out. Please put no stock in something being planned for the lobby involving chair stretching. I was just doing a “what if”.

You can do stretching every day...I recommend it actually! I think I already added the link in an earlier comment but I'll include it again just in case. I would suggest choosing a different stretching routine each day so that way you get in a variety of stretches: youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts

what is the MET value for the Seated Chair Stretches?
This isn't something I keep track of since I focus more on healthy movement, not calories burned (also because every body is different and the calories burned wouldn't be the same for everyone).

Hi! Sorry but I can't answer your question. I don't keep track of the calories burned. The point of the stretching videos is to work on flexibility and range of motion.
