Thanks Jules, my back is still sore, so I was careful. I chose gentle chair to loosen up. Tenant meeting today, and they told us exercise class is starting May 8th. The teacher I believe is a licensed exercise therapist for arthritis. I’ll let you know how it is. Once my back is better will start back on the daily strength exercises. Mostly doing walking for now.
That's great news about the exercise instructor coming to your building! When you do exercise with me, I would suggest to stick with the gentle workouts if you have any back issues.

I've been having left hip issues and decided to take some time out of standing exercises and try the seated ones. The upper body portion was quite demanding given my bad shoulders but I worked very hard when doing all the "pushing" and "pulling" segments, and really felt the results when I was done. I ramped up the lower body exercises and my hip didn't suffer one bit. Great routine when extra care is needed for rest and healing certain body areas. I truly worked at this one and feel that the all around great results weren't diminished. Anastasia

It has gotten harder to find an exercise video that combines everything and is easy enough for me to do without hurting myself. This one is perfect. You have made an old lady very happy. I've begun to look forward to these seated workouts, also, Jules! Sitting with good posture, for 30 mins and going through the range of motions, can be quite challenging, I've realised. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing! Choosing the music for my chair workouts is always a challenge since I feel there is a range of ages that watch them. If I put music that has too much beat, I get comments saying it’s annoying. Always a challenge but I’ll keep trying to find music that I hope will be enjoyable.

1000 things I love here, one I don’t. I love all music but, whether lively or soothing, it should be BACKGROUND to your instructions and warm voice. The music should not compete with you. Videos are not gyms. They’re different.

Fun to have classical music for once….this is a good alternate for my fav Abba workout and got my heart rate up too.

Absolutely! Just to help you navigate the channel, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) in both seated and standing workouts, and categorize them all into the playlists. Just look for 'playlists' on the main page and scroll down to where you see the seated options. If you're using these in a nursing home, the 'gentle' level would be best.
I also started a second channel dedicated to chair workouts and will add the link for you here: youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts
Lastly, I upload all of the workouts from both channels to my website at www.improvedhealthforseniors.com
I hope that helps and I hope the residents enjoy the exercise classes.

I’m not sure if that’s a good thing! Choosing the music for my chair workouts is always a challenge since I feel there is a range of ages that watch them. If I put music that has too much beat, I get comments saying it’s annoying. Always a challenge but I’ll keep trying to find music that I hope will be enjoyable.
Jules your exercises are very effective. I enjoy them. Don't get me wrong. I like classical music. Both my brothers were violinists and we are from a musical family.

I play your exercise video for my resident in the nursing home and this one was just too fast paced for them

1000 things I love here, one I don’t. I love all music but, whether lively or soothing, it should be BACKGROUND to your instructions and warm voice. The music should not compete with you. Videos are not gyms. They’re different.
