Just received my B3 Ghost today from Lancaster. First time ever trying one of these. I’ve barely got a dozen shots fired with this and I’m already getting settled in. Plan to continue using this from now on, for the purpose of improving my shot process and train away the rest of the little bad habits I’ve picked up over the years. Being patient. Following through. No more jack hammering the trigger like a hillbilly lol
While you might often hear different answers to this question based on who you ask, the basic ideas around back tension specific releases and hinge releases are different. The mechanism of a hinge is designed to release the shot when you have sufficiently rotated the body of the release, while a back tension is designed to release the shot when a sufficient amount of pulling force is applied to the release. While you can use these names interchangeably in some cases, these are the actual mechanisms utilized within these styles of release.
I know i’m late for the comment, but if you’re still looking for the rubberbands it’s a dental rubber band in 1/8 inch size, the name code for the size is chipmunk. It’s about $10 for pack of 100

What size Allen to loosen the moon screw?
Is there a difference between an actual back tension release and a hinge?

Will you ever do a review on the ultra view hinge?
As soon as we have some in stock.....
Lost me on rubberbans
The release functions without rubber bands. They are just there for auto hook return.
I’ve had mine for a couple months now and the rubber band has not caused me any issues
