One day I hope that I may be able to get you to paint one of my warhammer figures, it would absolutely be an honor! I’m new to the hobby and love it already but lack the tools to properly paint my figures at the current moment. Having a mini painted by you would be amazing, not only to use as a playable piece but a conversation piece, your work is amazing and I appreciate the time you put into making these videos because I enjoy them very much and find them very helpful! @maverickspaint

@@MaverickNicolson Yeah I find when I am going from black to yellow, white, red, pink etc that I look for something that will aid in the shading process. Take out a layer to get to the highlight by adding one back in the shading process. A shortcut. For example, I want yellow so I start with browns, I want pink so I start with creams. I want white I start with a cream/grey. this also then becomes my glaze later on when I highlight to bring the shades back and smooth out the transition. This waffling aside I really like what you do here. Cant wait to see more.

FYI. simple green works 20000% faster and ebtter when it's heated up.
I went to a garage sale and bought a bad pot, using it for my stripping.
    1. Heat up the simple green on stove.
    2. pour into glass jar.
    3. when it's bar-of-hand warm..drop mini in..
    Leave it for 24 hours.

Could you save my ASTORATH the Grim model, I love it very much but I truly am afraid to paint my favorite model and mess it up, lol. Base coated and got it together and hated what I had done but was scared to break the model while stripping. Be my angel of mercy......lol

Hey Maverick, your work is outright amazing. Super easy to follow, very insightful and informative. However, I would like to know how do you approach to varnishing your miniatures? Are there any brands you recommend?

Have you ever tried Biostrip 20 for stripping models? I used for my old stuff, and the paint just...falls off. You can leave stuff in there for days as well, it's non toxic and reusable - absolutely swear by it for stripping models.

You're becoming one of my fav mini painting channels duder. Great job on that Templar. Also glad to see you kicked covids butt. I lost my sense of smell for 3 weeks after i got it, had weird random aches and pains for weeks aftertoo, this was back in 2021.

Something I learned was that NMM makes more sense you want to dictate where the highlight and reflection is. TMM is great and obviously lifelike but will reflect WHEREVER the light is which could clash with the highlights you are trying to establish.

This was beautiful! You're definitely an inspiration and one of my favorite creators on UA-cam!
I'd love to see what you can do with my old metal Ahriman! I've had it since 4th edition, but I've never finished painting it because life happened. 😅
I was thinking about it when this video came out because I had just bought the newer Ahriman mini.

I love your painting method of going piece by piece and being as careful as possible, it’s almost meditative. It shows a serious amount of respect for your work and I’m sure the when Matt gets this model back he’s going to be blown away.

You're actually the whole reason I've been wanting to get better at painting. Your painting just always looks so great. I've been watching your videos and am currently working on a captain messinius model im painting as an imperial fist. I'm hoping to use your streaking grime tutorial to add some depth. It's not coming out great, but im gonna stay at it! Might have to pick up a few more captain messinius models 😂😂😂

Long shot that you’ll even see this but I’m painting some black legion for my first 2k point army, and will copying your black armor help me?
People often use blue when painting up black armor but I notice you didn’t do that here and I like the result! But people often say black armor is majority blue

Hey! Have you painted any blood angels space marines? I saw that terminator you did in the previous video and it was sick and was wondering if you have done any other blood angels. I'm a huge blood angels guy and am just getting into the hobby (your grimdark warhammer pieces being one of my main inspirations lol), my first combat patrol is arriving in a week or so and I'd really wanna see what you'd do with a blood angel for inspiration! Definitely going to be watching that space marine guide right before doing it either way though. Thank you for your time!

    Great series.
What are some good stripping solutions for Forgeworld resin?
I picked up the classic World Eaters dread from ebay a while back that I'm 90 percent sure is legit but it needs some work for paint removal.
