[Spoiler Warning] So, I have two theories about the whole opening part of the game. First, the one everyone seems to default to, is Gaster. But after the second chapter, when it's revealed that Kris is the Roaring Knight, my second theory formed that the voice might honestly be the Knight itself talking to you directly, since one of the first things it says is "are we connected?"
Kris is not confirmed to be the Roaring Knight. We don’t know if they are *the* Knight that the King and Queen talk about. We can’t assume that. But we do know that the Knight is opening dark fountains. With this, we can assume that Kris is *a* Knight. It can’t just be Kris, because we know that anyone (at least lightners) can open a dark fountain, if they are simply determined enough.
Kris is not confirmed to be the knight, what has been confirmed is all lightners can create fountains if they are determined enough. A possibility is Kris, having learned they could make fountains, decided to make one. Maybe they had the same sentimentality as Susie, Berdly, and Noelle at the end, and with the word not dying with two fountains, maybe thinking they could create a second with no consequence. It’s highly likely they are the knight, but if they were, Kris would’ve had to find a dark world portal, create a fountain, turn Jevil insane, and villainize Chaos King. They then would have to do that same premise _again_ in a single night, and still have enough time to eat the entire butterscotch pie. Kris not being the Knight would explain far more than they being the Knight. The guy Spamton talked about, Mike, or possibly Gaster, is a safer bet. Phones having garbage noise associated with him, Spamton and Jevil knew each other, possibly from Gaster, and both speak ill of him. Player could also be the Knight. Makes sense, but essentially no evidence.
@@The_True_Mx_Pink Noelle and Berdly had their books neatly on the table in the computer lab. This would be very difficult to do if the Dark World was already opened when they arrived. This indicates that the fountain was created while Noelle and Berdly were there. We also know for sure that the Cyber World fountain was created by the Knight. Since we were in full control of Kris between the window of Noelle leaving for the Library and the fountain having been created, this would make it impossible for Kris to be the Knight. There are actually other clues in the game suggesting that the Knight could be Dess occasionally taking control of Noelle, in the same manner we control Kris.
I'm like, thinking about what Kris voice would be like, then voice all the time you have a choices to choose excited yes, whiny no, yelling no, shaking yes, she is our enemy, etc.
