You really really changed my mind on press ons! This is almost my second week with them and never did any manicure last me this long! Thank you so much, finally I can have super pretty nails that lasts and look natural 🥹🙏✨
"Situations when you're a musician..." I feel so seen, thank you Alexandra!! I love these videos because I've never had fake nails, and the upkeep and cost of doing it at a salon when I can't wear them for very long is just too impractical. Your videos are seriously answering all my questions about doing them at home, and knowing how to remove them was a big concern. I think I might actually try this now!
I play guitar and wear these sometimes for a week and take them off on the weekend, and I use the same method of warm water to remove them☺️ I never did nails at the salon because I'd have to be with them for more than a week and that's not for me, I love my guitar way too much 😆
I have been obsessed with press on nails lately but i never knew how to do them correctly, they always turned out bad ,but tonight i did them while watching this video amd they turned out amazing..thank youu💗💗😊
I’m a noob to press ons, they came in the mail today and this video was uploaded today. Perfect timing. Mine look so good because I followed these tips!!
Also- additional tip- don’t just put more glue on the old glue- use a file, buff your nail- KEEP IT DRY- wipe dust with DRY paper towel, and glue a NEW NAIL on.
I love press on nails! My favorite thing to do now is buy the clear ones and just paint the designs on myself. It’s quite relaxing and plus they will look perfect instead of awkwardly painting the other side with my non dominant hand 😅
Those thin brows suit your face beautifully. I know the bushy brows are a trend right now, I have them naturally also. But the thing is that they don’t look harmonious with all faces! I see many women grow them out and it just looks odd. I love how you style and groom everything so it really suits YOU 🙏🏻
I love these nail enhancement videos! I am unable to grow long nails. All the vitamins go to my hair. So I was about to put some on and then these videos happened!!! Could you tell us the best brand of press on nails? Thank you.
I appreciate the way you explain how to apply press-on nails. Your friendly and confident tone of voice makes a real impact on me. Thank you for creating such an informative tutorial video.❤
As long as you properly prep your nails before you apply them it should last weeks! File your nail surface gently to remove the shine, use an alcohol wipe to remove dust and oils, make sure you use enough glue so there are no air bubbles
PSA: only use enhancements that are as half as long as the length of your current nail. So measure your current mail length in half and that is how much length you should add to the end of your nail. If you go longer only keep them on for a short period of time. Why? Because a really short nail supporting a long nail causes a lot of stress. You are very likely to experience your natural nail coming away from the nail bed. Otherwise enjoy press ons cause they are awesome.
I started using press pins in 2020 then switched to gelx... I love both ways but for sure press ons are more convenient if one pops off d to gel x that you need to get the lamp to cure them back on. Love your tutorial, these steps are very important to make them last...
I’ve been wearing Kiss glue on nails since the late 90’s!!! Covid came and now I can’t hardly find my beautiful nails… these nails are money savers and time savers… I don’t have time to sit in the nail shop for 3 hours😢…You can’t tell the difference once they are out on correctly! Thank you beautiful for a wonderful video of our once hidden secret!!!😊
Right before Covid you taught me how to use press on nails. I’m all for these new tips after recently spending 💰 in salons & still not quite getting what I want!❤❤❤
Clawhammer Banjo player here! Thank you so much for this video! I would love to have pretty nails from time to time without having to ignore my banjo for too long
Thank you for all of this info...you sound so genuine and like a really caring person lol. Your personality shows through 😊 I hate how my nails always pop off in like one day.
Everybody! Not all press ons can be exposed to nail polish remover /acetone to remove anything even glue. Not my custom gel press ons! You're better off using a buffer or file, or an e-file. Just saying!
Super helpful. I’ve only been using press on a few months and I buy the ones from Claire’s.. I’m ready to start painting my own. you’ve got me even more excited with all these helpful tips. ♥️♥️♥️💯
The real game changer for me was buying an electric file from the local beauty supply! It buffs the nail so well that my press-ons do not fall off! Also saves time in doing my cuticles ❤
Lol I am literally wearing press ons right now and had no idea they were numbered. I’ve never noticed that before! I looked closely and sure enough, there are numbers!
Very cool video, but such long nails are a nightmare for me to handle anything while wearing. Alsi, what I used to love were nail tips...have not seen them for a long time -- they took a while to create, but you could customize them re length & shape, & they felt exactly like your own natural nails when wearing them too, picking things up, etc, etc (the tips fit under the ends of the natural nails, & a little acrylic mix went on covering in the line of the tip & the natural nail. Then when the acrylic dried, qhuch was quuckly, you just smoothed down that fill-in ridge with a reg. nail file. Then you had nails that looked great, lasted a long time, were perfectly customizable, felt like your own natural nails, that you could polish & remove N.P. from. You needed to use special N.P. remover for acrylic nails to take the tips off. I loved them!! I hate that creepy way that normal fake nails feel.
I want to try them since I went to a salon and got a bit of a crap job. I have really small hands and nail beds though, so was thinking if I have to file them at the sides and bottom to fit, it will take off the colour and shine, which will look a mess? Don't want to have to paint over them.
Every time in cosmo school someone said "paint..." the instructor would IMMEDIATELY say "POLISH. we POLISH nails we PAINT cars." Now I can't get it out of my head - ~*°polish°*~ your nails! Lol
What happens when you shower or wash your hands? Bath products have surfactants like dish soaps too. Will the fake nails fall off in the shower? Will the bond in the glue loosen each time you wash your hands?
I must be doing something wrong, "press ons" last a day at most for me and "glue ons" such as the ones in this video last 4 days max, and I'm doing all the prepwork and tried a million different glues 😢 Are you supposed to wear gloves in the shower?
You should spend 3 hours in a good nail salon for a good gel polish (or buy everything needed, as I did) and forget about loosing your nails for two months with possibility to take super long baths, saunas, use any oils and creams, wash as many dishes as you need......
Help! To remove you said to soak them in the hot water with oil and dish soap - does it mean I can't wash dishes with these nails on without wearing gloves?
If the store-bought plastic ones (which by the way are terrible for the environment and your nails) are two flimsy for you. There are tons of artists on TikTok and Instagram that make luxury press-ons that are basically hard and soft gel. Then you just applied them like press-ons. The great thing about these are you only get what you need You don't get 25 extra nails that don't fit you or will never fit you. Cuz we all know what happens with those. Into the bin into the landfill. They're not nearly as cheap as the store-bought ones. But bending and breaking will happen less often. And it will actually look like you went to the salon. You can definitely tell the difference between a store-bought press on and salon quality nails. All of her tips and hacks for application and retention are amazing though perfect
I don't like them, I think they're very cool if you really like powders and enjoy the process of pouring and layering but its a very theatrical way to get a shellac or gel type of result IMO
Thank you for the response. I have read conflicting reviews. I trust your opinion. Seen all your videos and you have been into doing nails in several ways, so I feel you are a pretty good authority on the subject. 😉
Has anyone experience with how long they last? I think that nails that clipp off seem so cheap but if they really last 2 weeks and then I can all change I would be so happy
I’m living for these consistent uploads 🥲🥲❤️

doing them nails now to me its "mindfulness time" 😆
It took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize I could paint the nails before putting them on. 😂
Which clear ones do you buy and where? 💅🏼
Omg this is so smart!
@@emilyanne9513I'm well over middle aged and today I learnt. How? How have we been conditioned to avoid the obvious lol. It's odd right!?

@cc6112abyou are definitely not alone
@cc6112abYou are not alone.
I was never a fan of press on but GIRRRLLL YOU'RE MAKING ME WANT TO TRY IT

Omg this has made my nails last soooooo much longer I even did one hand with the video and one without and the video helped a lot
Love the option of adhesive pads, I don’t like really long nails but it’s gives me the option for a weekend nail color 😊
The best part is you can keep them and re stick them when you want! So glad I discovered these
i was adoring those short lil videos
thank you for a longer one queen
You're so welcome

Yayyyy🥰✨💗
I tried removing them as she shows in the tutorial and absolutely nothing happened not even a little bit and my set was almost 3 weeks old
@@dawnamendola8690me too.. I know its an old comment, but did you come up with a solution??
Can you do a video on how to keep your lips moisturized and not cracked in the winter? I slather on lip balm but it only provides a temporary fix
