This is so great!! I like sticker tabs because the nails still pop off quickly with glue and end up tearing up my nail and leaving glue behind. When I just the sticky tabs though my hair will get snagged on the edges and the whole nail kind of moves around. This is the perfect solution!
I have to try this. I use just glue right now and it takes forever to soak them off in warm soapy water. I like to change my nails every week. All you nail queens keep me inspired. LOL 😂
I use 'SuperGlue *gel* , I dot it on top and the sides of the tabs then press on the nail. I've been doing this for several years with my fav, Kiss Salon Acrylic Nude French Nails (just $7), lasts 2-3 weeks, easy. I work hard on my hands daily they never sit idle, you'll thank me later! 💜💜💜
@@kellytolbert9586 Super glue is the brand. I dot it in the center and around the edges of the nail bed. Less is more, and hold the fake nail on for a good 5 seconds each. 🙂
Clean nails witu alcohol Push cuticle Dehydrator Add Sticky tabs Add nail glue on sides Add press on nail from bottom to tip Lasts for 4days or over week
I am so excited to try this method! I've been doing press ons with sticky tabs, and they stay great for at least a week, but I notice the nails feel like they move a little around my cuticle. Someone suggested this video for that reason, and I'm so glad I watched it! I can't wait to try it 😁 Thank you so much for all your great tips 🥰
I would alway start with applying the nails starting from pinky’s on both nails then work my way to the thumbs. This process makes it much easier to apply. Thank you for your video, I learned something new. ♥️
Sorry, I'm confused. Did you not take the top of the stick tab off? I saw you stick it to your natural nail, then use the tweezers to push it down, so obviously, the top layer hadn't been taken off yet; otherwise, it would have been sticky. But then you went straight into the glue and actual pressing-on portion. Did I just miss where you took the top tabs off?
This is great! Is there a reason why you don't also add glue at the top part of your nail, near the cuticle? I have gotten the dreaded "green nail" after press ons before, so I'm weary of them now, but I love them! Also, any tips on how to use glue with press ons that already have the adhesive tab on the back of the nail?
Thanks a lot. Going on holiday I love to use the easy press on Loca nails, but they soon fall off what with the paking and unpacking. This just made my nail game👌because they'll last longer with the glue❤❤❤Thanks for such a clear easy to follow methos❤
Thanks for the great tip. Someone says we can paint a base coat before applying sticky tabs to protect the nail beds but would it make the press on easily fall off because of its shiny surface? Or can I use a nail primer? I’m new to press on and have found that even using the sticky tabs only, they can still damage my nail beds with streaks and white spots on. Is there any better way to keep my nails healthy as I love press on which makes my hands so much more presentable? Thank you!
Hi Carol. What do you think about adding a gel base coat and curing it 1st before applying the sticky tabs? Would that make them last longer? I am hoping to not change them for at least 2 weeks! Thx in adv ❤
@@acociawilliams9165 no, not yet. I’ll try not soon and let u know. Im planning to put a gel base coat, then a builder gel (or hard gel) then using the tab and glue to stick in the press-ons. Hopefully that works. If so, it will be a great, inexpensive way to have fancy nails that last. 💁🏻♀
Thank You Carol for another great video. Question, could you use the method of sticky tabs + glue to apply the press on over the top of builder gel or dip powder nails? If so, would I need to put anything down first, or just go straight into sticky tab? Do the sticky tabs like a rough surface or smooth? Lastly, would you be able to remove the tip and have it separate from the builder gel or dip cleanly? Perhaps you have a video already on this you could direct me towards. TIA
I think you could. My only worry is that the sticky tabs don’t stick well to shiny surfaces, so you’d have to make sure your builder gel layer isn’t shiny. I think you could remove the tip/separate easily as long as you don’t soak it off in acetone. Do a soapy water mixture soak.
@@CaroleAnnette wow you are fast! Thank you! So maybe if I roughed up the builder gel with a sanding grit efile? Do you think that would work? I shouldn’t be scared to try, but I am a bit. 🤷🏼♀️ Dip without filing would be good. Just curious about the builder gel.
I recently got a full week of wear from dollar store press-ons using Kokoist sticky tabs alone--no glue needed! A middle finger finally came loose so I had to change them out. The problem I have is that the sticky tabs stick so well, it is a nightmare to get them off the underside of the press-ons! Do you have any tips for removing the sticky tabs from the press-ons?
Try using some rubbing alcohol on the tabs to remove the stickiness. It helps them come off easier. I also use either my fingers or a cuticle pusher of some sort to push the sticky tab off
@@CaroleAnnette So the alcohol won't hurt the tip? I thought about trying that to soak glue tabs off. My regular cleanser has acetone so I didn't dare try that.
Depending on your tips, rubbing alcohol can make them cloudy. But if you have a dip or gel top coat on, it should be fine. You may just notice the underside of the tip will be cloudy.
I feel like I followed this tutorial closely, but for some reason, If I look underneath the nail from the top, there is just a huge gap between my natural nail and the tip. It feels like the tip of secured on the side walls, but I can definitely feel that it’s not attached in the center. I guess, if I were attaching them with gel, the gap would be filled. But, I chose sticky tabs because they seem to be less damaging and a quicker removal. Do you have any tips?
That happens to me too on one of my nails (index finger). My index finger is more flat than the arch of the tip, so it doesn’t fill that void. My best tip is to use nail glue on that area where there’s the gap. If you have a brush on nail glue, it’ll be easier to slide the glue in there to fill the gap.
I have the same issue, in fact all my nails are too flat for any kind of press on nails. I found that dipping a press on in nearly boiling water for a couple seconds and then flattening it with my fingers helps tremendously and afterwards they fit great
Is it necessary to dehydrate my nails before sticking on adhesive nail tabs? (I'll be using press on nails as claws for my Halloween costume.) Can I just use a nail file or something instead?
Pls tell me how to remove these fingernails when using the tabs and glue so I can reuse the press ons. Your help would be appreciated and ty for this video. I hope to hear from you pls.
